Asked for a room facing the parking field. We were put in the type of we requested. The room smelled like a sewer overflowed. They accommodated us with another room. This hotel needs upgrading badly and a good cleaning. The breakfast buffet was worh the stay. It had a large selection and all was at the proper temperature. We enjoy Qualty Inns and Comfort Inns but this one needs dire help

Spent one night there. Was a pretty motel. Staff was very friendly. I was pretty tired & glad they had a little restaurant inside & had dinner there. Was glad I didn't have to go search for a place to eat that night. They gave me two bottles water. The breakfast they served was very good ..eggs, ham , juice & other items. Room was nice & quiet. They had a great looking pool in the courtyard. Would stay there again.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights (two 1 night stays) over the course of a week in late May 2017. I've stayed here in the past and it's been okay over the past three years. However, after these two nights, I will never again return to this hotel as it has severely gone downhill in terms of consistency of basic amenities and service. In both rooms I was assigned the desk chair was not in working order. In one of the rooms, the entire seat of the chair was literally falling off the chair's base. In the other room, the chair was listing terribly to one side, making you feel like you were going to fall off it. Management provided me a chair from the meeting room in both cases. In the second room, the shower curtain was completely missing. When I told the desk clerk at checkout about the shower curtain, he didn't even apologize. The staff here is completely inconsistent as well. As a Choice Hotels Platinum member I was greeted on the first night at check-in with a bottle of water and a small gift bag. On the second stay, two nights later, I wasn't offered a water or a gift bag. However, the couple right next to me was offered waters. On the first stay I received my wake up call, but not on the second after requesting it both times. Given the price of this hotel in the $70-$80 range, the basics should always be in working order, especially in regards to room furnishings. Many other hotels in the $50 range in Tucumcari consistently provide the basic amenities in working order. Spend your money elsewhere for a more consistent and pleasant stay while in Tucumcari.

This hotel has smoking rooms and so make sure you ask for non smoking when you make reservations. We ended up on the second floor because of that. Not bad if you are able to do stairs but it is a pain if you have a lot of luggage. Breakfast is tight since there are few tables and I saw many people taking their food to the room. The place was clean but it is a stretch to justify the price. The front desk was pleasant and greeted us when we showed up.

This place was awful. Had a second floor room and there was carpeting on the outside stairs which was in bad shape. The stairs were uneven. The fridge, microwave, lamp did not work and they were all plugged in to a 6 hole plug which was plugged into the wall outlet. Didn't report to front desk as we thought it was a fire hazard. Send email to the company and still haven't heard back. Very disappointed in choice hotels

We made reservation at this Quality Inn for our ‘coming and returning’ trips, and if we hadn’t paid for the ‘returning’ stay, we would have stayed somewhere else to partake of a decent breakfast……. The receptionist was very courteous, and the room was very clean and passed my ‘white-glove/flash light’ inspection. Kudos housekeeping team! However, after having an awesome shower, and quiet sleep night; we were rudely awaken by a less-than-desired-breakfast :o( Where shall I begin? The flow of the buffet was a complete fiasco when the ‘grumpy’ customers tried to serve themselves. Talk about individuals getting on each other’s way (nerves) to ‘reach’ for an item. We did what any logical person would do, one gets the drinks, and one gets the eggs, hash browns, and sausage. You know family style plate. Then, when the coast was clear, one got the toaster going, and the other one any other items desired. So, we sit down to enjoy the many funny conversations, whining, or what not of the sleepy customers. We take a forkful of eggs, and look at each other. Discreetly we get rid of them. (They tasted like cigarette?! Dry, season less, and over cooked!) We then proceed to the potatoes…… we again discreetly get rid of them. (They were ‘raw and greasy’, talk about not-good-eats! ) We look at each other, and one heads to the oatmeal packs and the other one to the hot water area that is congested with guests fighting with each other for coffee or juice. Needless to say, it was hard not to get indigestion from a breakfast that not only did it taste like the ‘heavy chain smoker’ that prepared it, but that we got ripped off! There is no such thing ‘for free’ it is included in the price of the hotel stay, but this time the hotel can just do away with the breakfast or get rid of the individual that so called prepares it and ‘reeks of cigarettes’! We will not be back to stay at this place.

Staff was friendly & efficient. Just as when we stayed here previously, exterior room doors need to be properly sealed. Letting in too much noise and allowing free reign for bugs by not adequately weatherproofing doors. Rooms are typical Quality Inn decor. Used the in-room iron, which stained my polo shirt. Had to trash it. Wi-fi was sluggish. Breakfast buffet was excellent!

Dirty towel in bathroom, fan rattled so bad had to turn AC off, fitted sheet would not stay tucked in. Grounds and hotel really need upkeep . Room off lobby was piled with stuff and looked dirty. Restaurant had decent food. When I told the lady at the desk about the room she seemed very uninterested.

Check-in was very friendly and fast. We were given a great ground floor room location. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and price included a good continental breakfast. On the downside - entire facility, rooms, and grounds are a bit tired and dated.

Yes, there was a toilet plunger outside our room. I quietly hoped that that didn't mean we'd have plumbing issues. We never did - yay! And the toilet plunger DID disappear after we asked for a new chair. I'm not sure where Choice Hotels has gotten these desk chairs! They are horrible. The one in the room scared me when my husband sat in it. He called down to the desk for a replacement. To their credit, the front desk gal was VERY responsive on the chair, however the replacement chair just wasn't much better at all. Bad choice, Choice. The wifi there was very slow as well. However, perhaps I need to adjust my expectations when it comes to New Mexico highway 66 wifi...The breakfast in the morning was well attended. I'd say: pretty much average.
