Everything was good until we found a roach on the pillow that my 7 month old was sleeping on the next morning.
Some of the finest mineral springs ever. Great staff. The propertyis old, and funky. That adds to the charm in some ways, detracts from it comfort in others.
The place is unique and the staff is very accommodating. The baths are clean and relaxing. The rooms on the Main Street are a little noisy and the shower is outdoors.
Unfriendly staff, dirty room (cockroaches included), and the internet was spotty at best. Spend your money elsewhere, this place isn't worth it.
Stayed in the Pink Pelican building, bathroom window lock was broken, room door lock was sketchy - put a chair against the door knob, could never connect to wifi, room wasn't cleaned, bed never made, no fresh towels. If you're traveling alone, place is a security nightmare. Spa was three concrete tubs. Pros are a decent restaurants, Latitude 33 and the Old Brick Cafe, are next door. I travel often to out of the way places, if you need a cheap place to spend the night in T or C and armed, this works, otherwise avoid.
A must go, soak in the hot spring tubs. Enjoy the overflow room, big with kitchen and a out door patio shower. Super fun!
We had a great experience with the Pelican. The staff was very nice! I love this town.
I really wanted to like this place. The pictures on-line made it look cute and kitschy. And, while in NM, why not stay someplace that says "NM?" Check in was easy and the spa rep showed us what she needed to. I'm not big into the actual spa scene but this place did have several spa tubs for patrons. Unfortunately, our room was in a building separate from the spa tubs and it's cold outside at night, so I didn't want to soak in a hot tub and then walk outside in the cold. The spa tubs reminded me of the washertubs my mom had in the basement, and that was a turn-off as well. Mattresses were too soft.
Great decor, super hot tubs. A meditation/yoga room all to ourselves. Needs a few more dishes but it worked.
