Loved the characterful room decor and the extra little touches like the welcome drinks and the stamped postcard. The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious too.

Great stay in a room 11 which was more like a little separate home. Food quality was good and staff were nice. While overall cleanliness was decent, we had hairs in shower and over our toilet and my parent had some mess in their bathroom too. Really liked the branded ‘newspapers’ with the property details and its history, as well as the separate lounge downstairs.

Good location and good food. Lovely room. Welcome a bit so and so. Kitchen staff more welcoming than the reception staff who, to be fair, were also manning the bar (although the bar wasn't overly busy when we arrived).

Lovely few days at the Rising Sun. Room excellent, food good. Our only complaint was a very loud noise which woke us at around 6.45 am, think it came from the kitchen area.

Was a lovely modern comfortable room the only slight let down was the music from the kitchen below was a bit loud on occasion. Lovely food and great pub . Would stay again .

Lovely one nighter get away!

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at The Rising Sun in lovely St. Mawes. The food was excellent, we had Sunday roast lunch, starters plus breakfast the next day - all delicious. Our room was extremely comfortable with a huge bed and good ensuite shower room. Liked the coffee machine and large flat screen TV. Will hopefully stay again in the future.

Lovely autumn stay
