Stayed here for a few days while we were closing on our house, room was efficient and the staff went out of their way to take care of us while we were there. Would definitely return if I ever had the need again. Thanks again Woodspring and staff!
Smoke, Smoke, Smoke If you are a smoker, you will love this place. If not, you will be miserable and you will leave with clothes that smell of cigarettes. The rooms are spartan at best - no hand towels, no shampoo, no hair dryer and mattresses that did not make the cut at Discount Mattress! Won’t repeat this mistake.
Asthmatics beware! This hotel looks great online. Great price. It’s advertised as smoke free. Website says free WiFi. I thought it was going to be perfect. When I arrived I was greeted by a receptionist who smelled like cigarette smoke. I assumed, hoped rather, that the smell was simply from her and would not continue through the building. Unfortunately I soon discovered, after they had charged my card for the week long stay of course, that the entire building reeks of cigarette smoke. Every time the air conditioner came on there was a new surge of stink. Every time the fan in the bathroom was turned on there was a new wave of fumes. (The bathroom light is connected to the fan so when you need light to do you make up you have to breathe in the fumes.) And before you think I should have just switched rooms, I walked the halls of every floor to see if the smell was any better and the whole building smells the same. In addition to the false advertising about the smoking, the WiFi is pathetic. The so called free WiFi that is available does nothing. In order to get WiFi that is able to stream video you must pay approximately $7 a week, and that’s just for one device. In order to be able to stream video on up to three devices you must pay approximately $14 per week. Luckily I was able to find a different hotel for my next stay, which will be much longer. It will cost more but it’s better than getting lung cancer. Only stay here if you are a smoker and/or absolutely cannot afford to stay anywhere else.
First time staying at this relatively new chain. Price was very low and the reviews were excellent, considering. And we were not disappointed. The concept apparently is "keep it simple, comfortable and clean" and it aced all of those. There were only 2 pillows on the double, not queen, bed. The comforter was plain, not fancy. No pillow-top mattress cover. The TV was not a giant one but a perfectly reasonably sized one. No toiletries except for one bar of soap which is fine since I bring my own. A basic, not elaborate, set of towels. A nice kitchen area - quite a bonus - with a two grill burner, microwave and apartment sized refrigerator that was ice cold and re-froze our bottles of ice. But no dishes or silverware or coffee maker. The HVAC was effective and quiet. The room was surprisingly quiet - obviously they didn't cheat on the soundproofing between rooms. The furniture was plain but comfortable enough. Wifi was included but we didn't use it so can't evaluate. Much safer to use smart phone mobile hot spot these days, I think. Staff couldn't have been friendlier but that's not surprising given the Tennessee location where everyone is friendly. All in all, a totally immaculate, nice although without frills, quiet, almost new room for a very attractive price. What's not to like if you are looking for a good place to rest your body overnight? Just bring your own toiletries and get your breakfast and coffee up the road.
This place has a new name but old habits. Not a very clean or organized. I needed a place to stay for a couple of nights while moving my Daughter to the area. I read their ad and it sounded like a roomy suite. What I found was the most stripped down hotel ever. No silverware or plates in the room even though they tout their range, micro wave and refridge in the room. The wi-fi also has a lot to be desired. I gave it an average rating only because of the reasonable price. Even the elevator looked old and worn.
I wish I had read some reviews before staying here. This is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. The people who stay here do not observe any rules. There is Not One modern amenity, the most basic of every finish (if there is a 'finish' at all). I truly wish I had stayed elsewhere. Not pleasant. If you expect anything for your money do not stay there. I'm sorry, I'm trying to think of something good about it but I can not.
Pro: Room has small kitchen w/fridge, sink, small microwave oven, 2-burner stovetop. A/C has digital thermostat; fan shuts off with temperature. Room mostly quiet. Adequate electrical outlets. Wi-Fi worked okay albeit with occasional glitches. Internet access would drop out, and I had to run Windows Troubleshooter to fix it. That happened twice. Con: Room slightly small. Furnishings included one 3-drwr chest, one night-stand, one bed, one table w/two chairs, one high shelf w/hanger bar. TV set occupied top of chest. No luggage stand and few places to set things. Bathroom fan turns on with light—an annoyance. Confusing light switches: 3 lights controlled by 3 separate switches; one "master" switch. Two bath towels and wash cloths but no hand towels. No kitchen towels provided. Bathroom rather small (but adequate). Toilet paper roll placement inconvenient. Pillows very hard. Wi-Fi requires login; Value Place charges extra for Wi-Fi (but see Miscellaneous comments). Misc: Room has sprinklers and smoke alarm. Better than Quality Inn next door. Property is undergoing name change to WoodSpring Suites. The sign says, "WoodSpring Suites." WoodSpring Suites offers free Wi-Fi whereas Value Place charges extra. When I asked about the name change, the desk clerk said it hadn't officially changed and he would not give me the free Wi-Fi. To be fair, I reserved room as Value Place and I didn't contest the charge, but I felt that since they had already changed the name, they might relent and throw in the free Wi-Fi, but no such luck. (No harm in asking.) No comps were provided except one tiny piece of soap—you could almost see it. Better bring your own. Range hood lacks vent and filter—essentially useless as a hood—but it does have a worklight. I had to go to Walmart and buy a decent pillow ($2.37). Folio had daily charges for linen which should have been included in rate. Internet was charged twice. The charge is applied when you first try to sign on; the higher $20 rate is selected by default and the $10 rate is difficult to choose; you have to be careful. I had already told the desk clerk I wanted the $10 rate; both charges were on the folio. Be sure to request an itemised folio printout and double-check it and the credit card statement.
Nice room clean safe and courteous staff. I would stay here again great price like the location close to food has shopping and highway.;hhhhhggggggggfffffffgggvvggvvgvvvvhdhdhdbsbsvsvsbsvsbsbsbsshshshdhshsbshsshshshshshshsshhsshshshdhshdgdgdhdgsgsgdgdgdgdgdgdhdhgddgdhhd
The room was nice and clean as was the bathroom. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week amd the price was under $400. The internet was not quite as high speed as hoped, and my phone had a gard time connecting (but I believe that was more of a problem with my device, not the hotel's internet). We rented a smoking room, and the hallway for the floor only faintly smelled of cigarettes. As a nonsmoker, this pleased me since usually the smell is more apparant. The elevator is my onky main concern. It sounded as if it was hitting the walls around the 2nd/3rd floor and would shake and jerk a bit. It wasn't so scary that I refused to take the elevator. However, I feel like that could be fixed. On a brighter note, the staff present was very helpful and kind.
the time I have spent away this place has been a water hole in the desert a place to ease my mind and spirit a place of refuge were I can sleep through the night knowing I am safe...the people here are very excellent top notch my stay has been wonderful
