Be sure to visit Mellow Yellow in Calabash Bay and The Lobster Pot on Great Bay. Both places offer amazing authentic dishes and great portions ALL made to order and for the most part, completely from scratch so, expect not to rush or be rushed. Mellow Yellow has a small menu and it's owner has stayed true to her Italian roots offering some AMAZING pasta dishes with seafood and jerk components. Her pizza is also light and it's handmade crust is just right ! The Lobster Pot will not disappoint and if you time your visit right, you can catch the most amazing sunsets on the island. You will need to hitch a ride but I promise your meal is well worth the 15minute road trip ! Bertram is your chef and is honoured to offer you nourishment. We had fresh caught lobster one night and two full meals cost us a whopping $30usd. The coconut lobster another night was simply amazing and there was so much lobster I could help but share!! Both places are new additions to our go to list (we have been to JA 3 times) on the last visit, neither of these places existed. So don't hesitate, just go... you'll know!

I am a laid back guy and treasure beach was perfect for me. I arrived here after staying in Negril for a week and was pleasantly surprised how different it was. I was only here for three nights. I met so many genuinely nice people. Unfortunately I was a little shell shocked by all the hassling in Negril and it took a while to trust that these people are just really nice people. Hung out and ate at Frenchman's reef on the beach every night. Ate at smurfs cafe every morning. Food was excellent. Curried goat is super delicious! The locals were very easy to talk to. Was here Nov.8-11/15 and it was pretty quiet as far as tourists. The ones that I met were very nice and fun to talk to. Stayed at welcoming vibes. So nice. You couldn't find a better view. So relaxing treasure beach is. So relaxing! I love you treasure beach. I will be back and will stay much longer.

The southside of Jamaica is totally unexpected. The people, the accent, the landscape is different – it's like a whole other world! And I loved every moment of it. When you go you should stay with Christine at rock side villas. The accommodations are unbelievable and her cooking is unforgettable. The vibe here is hard to pinpoint- a little bit more eclectic maybe then the rest of the island. I can't wait to go back!

This hotel was so empty while we stayed here in February 2015 that we thought it must be going out of business! Just a few other couples staying on the sprawling property, it seemed. The property is very nice, right on the beach, with lots of paths to get around (you need to be be able to do stairs!), two pools, nice patios outside the rooms, etc. We were a bit miffed to find that our door wouldn't lock, but they got a locksmith to our room to fix it in the time it took us to go to dinner. They also served us a drink upon checking in, a nice touch. Overall, it was just a quiet and relaxing place to stay, though not luxurious per se. The food here was nothing special; we ate here for dinner and were disappointed that they were out of their advertised pizza that night. The hot tub was not on or cleaned, so that was a no go, and the lighting all over the property is VERY dark at night! Bring a flashlight! I think they are going for energy-conscious with their outdoor and restaurant lighting, but it's just dim and fluorescent-feeling.

Toured around the beautiful island of Jamaica and treasure beach was one of the beaches we had on our list of places to visit and swim in the Caribbean sea. Beautiful beach was a great time. Going back to Jamaica again but this time for a longer stay in paradise!!!

Immediately upon your arrival you will notice that you are off the beaten track. The property is rustic and gives you that untouched, "let's escape to Jamaica" feel. The Attitude of the staff was EXCELLENT - they were always willing to help, and even joining in on our jokes. The Manager Jennifer, Lorna and Natasha are just some of the names I can remember but they were all excellent. The property seems untouched, so far away from the usual mass tourists sites on the island's north coast. A real hideaway, making you feel like a kid again, frolicking on beach, climbing trees, AHHHHH! The rooms are dated, but once you get past that-you will be in for a great time. Go out, hit the road and enjoy the local cuisine and music and vibe. We are already planning to do so again.

Upon my arrival at the Treasure Beach hotel I was greeted by a very warm and friendly set of staff. After the long and treacherous trip I was hot and tired so I was given a very nice cool welcome drink. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful with my check-in process, which was very short and simple. Then I was taken to my lovely, clean and very spacious deluxe ocean view room as that was the one that I had booked. Oooooh my the view was breath-taking it just blew my mind away. I then went to their Yabba restaurant for dinner that same evening and the dining staff was very friendly and assisted me with helping to make my choice of the various meals they had. There were two very clean and well-kept pools on property for me to enjoy at my very own leisure. Their sea-horse pub was very comfortable and relaxing. They offer many different liquors and drinks. There breakfast menus are very interesting as they give you chances to choose whether you want to eat Jamaican, American and more. I had constant access to the internet which allowed me to communicate and be in touch with other parts of the world. I had a tremendous time at Treasure Beach Hotel and I am looking forward to my stay their next year. It is the place to be!
