Step into the glowing winter geodome, a warm, illuminated sanctuary perfect for romantic dinners, snowy lake watching, or family fun beneath the stars. It’s heated, furnished with a dining table and chairs, and offers a magical way to enjoy the beauty of Northern Michigan in the fall and winter! If you are into Winter activities,
our guests love snowmobiling on our lake and ice fishing in the winter.

At Villa Azul, the lake is truly at your doorstep—no steep steps, just 100 feet of private sandy frontage that’s ideal for all ages. Spend your days lounging on your private beach, kayaking or canoeing (provided at no charge!), or fishing off the dock. Long Lake features five islands to explore, excellent fishing, and a hard-bottomed shoreline perfect for swimming and water activities. Our home is located right next to the smaller public boat launch on Long Lake, making it easy for our guests to bring their own boats.

After a day on the water, unwind in the year-round hot tub as the sun sets across the lake, gather around the fire pit for s’mores, or enjoy dinner on the expansive deck using the gas grill (propane included!). Evenings here feel effortless, peaceful, and filled with memory-making moments.

Inside, the open living area features panoramic windows that bring the lake indoors. Settle in around the gas fireplace or enjoy a family movie night. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook for a crowd, including modern appliances, basic cooking essentials, multiple coffee options (Keurig, Nespresso, and drip!), and a chef’s closet stocked with gadgets like a crockpot, immersion blender, mixer, and electric griddle. We provide basic condiments for you to prepare your meals, including olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and some basic spices. The large dining table seats 10–12 comfortably.

Traveling with kids? You’re covered! The kid’s bedroom includes a NEX playground video game console (an interactive VR gaming platform), Meta Quest 2 VR, a karaoke machine, and plenty of board games. The heated garage features a ping pong and a pool table. The home includes a crib, Pack ’n Play, high chair, kids’ plates/utensils, a shaved ice machine, soda maker, beach chairs, life jackets, and water toys—everything families love! Our basketball hoop is a huge hit with both kids and adults.

Sleeping arrangements comfortably host up to 12 guests. The main level includes a king bedroom with a full bath across from it. Upstairs, you’ll find another king room overlooking the lake, two queen bedrooms, and a kid-friendly room with a queen daybed plus three pull-out twin beds. Every bedroom includes a TV with streaming capabilities, and we provide premium bedding, towels, toiletries, laundry detergent, and cleaning essentials.

Located just 15 minutes from downtown Traverse City, 10 minutes to Moomers, 12 minutes to local wineries, 18 minutes to the TART Trail, and an easy drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes! We can help you arrange for pontoon boats or jet skis to be delivered right to the dock. (Note: Dock is removed in winter.)
