Painfully disappoining. The building alarm broke and went off throughout the night every 90 minutes. When we asked for some reimbursement, we were ignored. The rooms need to be better maintained: broken bathroom vent and very thin walls. Loud music is pumped through the hallway which we repeatedly requested to be turned down or off. The management seems to be milking the business in the short term without any long term investment in the property or its reputation among guests.
There was nothing unique about the place. We've stayed here before... what we didn't like was that they gave our room away and actually checked someone else in under our name. We paid in full but let me say too that Orbitz charged us more for the room then we were quoted to begin with and due to the fact that they gave our room away under our name it took over an hour to get checked in and that ordeal straightened out only to be woke up early Friday Morning June 25th to be moved into the room that was reserved for us the day before. This trip was a nightmare..not to mention also being over charged. The charge was originally supposed to be $163 and some change a night and once I put the credit card info in it went up to $184 and some change. Since it was the only room left available I had no other choice but to reserve it..now the receipt shows $229.99 for the 1st night thats $60.00 over what it was supposed to be. I am not pleased with this stay at all.
Excellent customer service at the front desk. Quick response on maintenance issues. Great fresh coffee. Clean rooms. Clean overall property.
The shower head was cracked, the sink had slow drainage, and the pillow case had stains.
This property is well kept, lobby smells amazing, and the ownership clearly takes pride in doing the best they can with an older facility. On the other hand, you get what you pay for - non existent insulation between rooms means you WILL hear everything happening in the rooms on each side of you. CLEARLY. Despite the noise, when the front desk was called they acted immediately and I appreciated that immensely. Housekeeping could be a little more attentive as the bathroom still has toothpaste splashes all over the sink and mirror - which wasn’t hard to miss at all but somehow overlooked. Overall, it was adequate. Nothing to steer clear from, but certainly no frills and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
The hotel is very nice. It smells clean and new, and the bedding is good. However, the air conditioning would only run for a minute then turn off. It would not adequately cool the room. I had it set as cold as it would go to 66, but the room felt like mid to upper 70s.i would stay here again.
