A really superior hotel located right off the main square. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Strong wifi. Good shower with plenty of hot water and strong pressure. Good breakfast bar that also offerred omelettes if you asked. Informative front desk personnel gave good advise on dining and touring options. Only issue was that there was some construction ongoing just outside the hotel.

On arriving with my son 17, we were warmly greeted and checked into to our upgraded 4th floor room very efficiently. Our twin Club executive room was located overlooking capitol square, with fabulous views of the square, we had two queen beds in a lovely spacious room with all the extras associated with a hotel of this quality, there were absolutely no noise issues and and we both agreed this was the best nights sleep of the 3 spent in the region. As an Elite member we were able to use the free Club room, but rather disappointingly there was no lager left and the snacks were low, the small sandwiches and other food were left uncovered and had gone stale at the edges I would have expected a hotel of this quality not to have fallen foul of such basic things, the food should have been covered and the bar kept properly stocked. I have enjoyed the club room at the CP in Marlow, this is manned by an attendant who makes sure everything is topped up and he serves the drinks and canopies (which were considerably nicer than the ones in Toulouse) to the guests. For Dinner we chose to eat out as there are an array of eateries within 5 minutes walk, if you enjoy Pizza head for the Forno Gusto just round the corner, quite delicious freshly cooked pizza at decent prices. As we were on a room only package, for breakfast we grabbed 4 pastries, a hot chocolate and a coffee from over the street (€7) and enjoyed these in our room. Would certainly stay again.

Our 3 nights at the Crowne Plaza were a great start to our visit to France. The hotel is located on a major square steps away from shopping, dining and historic sites. The breakfast that was included in our room rate offered a good selection.

The Grand plaza in Toulouse, is a gorgeous hotel, we had a junior suite which was suptious and perfect in every way, with loads of space, huge comfortable fee bed, a leather three piece reclining sofa and wonderful views of the main square in Toulouse & all its restaurants. Thank you to all the extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed here for four nights end of September. The hotel has the best location, right in the main square in Toulouse, handy for everything. There are many shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building. Unfortunately I had requested a quiet room which meant that we were allocated an inner room, with a small window overlooking other rooms and a brick wall. Should have asked for a view over the square. The room itself was lovely, with two very comfortable double beds, excellent bedding, tea and coffee making facilities, a free safe, free wi-fi and a well equipped bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Toulouse itself is fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will definitely return one day.

We were in Toulouse for 3 nights for a sports event. We pre-booked via the web site and the room rate included access to the club lounge and breakfast. First the negative points. The club room wasn't worth the extra money. There were supposed to be cold drinks such as water, coke etc available throughout the day but this just didn't happen and the small fridge wasn't topped up on a regular basis. There was wine and beer available for a couple of hours early evening together with a small selections of snacks. Once these went they didn't get topped up which you don't expect for a hotel that is graded 5*. The breakfast was hit and miss over the 3 days we had it. First day we asked twice for an omelet but it just didn't arrive so we gave it up as a bad job. The dishes of warm food took forever to be topped up. Quite why it took so long was a mystery. The good points with the breakfast is that you can have a hearty breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold food if you are ok waiting for it at times. It was enough to last you through the day and convenient and while probably not worth the extra charge was ok for us. The room we had was good. It partially overlooked the square and was very quiet except for some building work across the square one morning but that's not the hotels fault. It was very clean and well decorated with bed linen changed every day. The beds were very comfortable indeed and very spacious. Bathroom amenities were of good quality and always topped up. The shower was an over the bath shower so you had to climb in. Ok for us but not if you have mobility problems but I assume that there are other rooms available. There were good tea and coffee making facilities in the room and complimentary water so that was again a very good point. The bar area was fine - a little expensive but that's the case for most of the outside cafe's in the area so to be expected and we didn't see it as an issue since I think the city seems expensive generally especially with the current exchange rate. The location is perfect - right on the square and within a few minutes of the metro. We caught the tram and metro from the airport and it was pretty easy to get to the city centre and more interesting than the back of a taxi! The hotel corridors all appear to have been recarpeted recently which adds to the quietness. Overall it wasn't the cheapest hotel and we could have stayed at other hotels of a similar quality cheaper but the location swung it for us and we would choose to stay here again if we come back to the city. It has a lot going for it but isn't perfect but not many hotels are in every way.

This hotel could not be better placed as a base to visit Toulouse, being right on the corner of the main square (Place du Capitole). However, be aware that if you drive in, the entire area is mostly pedestrianised so you have to be very careful - you also need to buzz the police to gain access to the pedestrian area at certain times as there are barriers. However, the hotel offers valet parking (at a fee) so once there you can just dump the car and explore. The hotel was well maintained, clean, tidy etc. The room was comfortable enough, but we couldn't open the windows so we were forced to suffer aircon. Wifi worked well. Bathroom not the best I've had, shower was weedy and difficult but the towels and supplies were excellent. We struggled a bit for service - the bar staff, for example, were much keener to serve the Luxembourg football team and entourage (who were staying there for a match) than us when we went for a cocktail. However, that said, all in all, perfectly acceptable for what it is.

This is a lovely building set in the middle of the old town of Toulouse, but I just couldn't help thinking that the service/product was missing the mark. After a very expensive taxi ride from the station (EUR17 for approx 1.5kms - and there were 5 of us so we needed two cabs) we received a warm welcome from the front desk. Interconnecting rooms had been assigned as promised, but these were on a relatively low floor with a view across a courtyard onto windowsills which were 10cms deep in whatever the pigeons had left behind. Lots of roadworks going on outside the property - didn't affect us with noise as we were on the back of the building, but it diminished the feel of the place. I think what really irritated me was breakfast the next morning. This was included in our rate but as noted, its EUR22 a head, so EUR110 of our spend was for this. Got to the restaurant to be greeted by utterly dismissive staff who told me to sit anywhere, accompanied by the stereotypical gallic shrug (before disappearing) Of course there were no tables of 5 available, so I was left to start dragging tables around to sort this out. For what is supposed to be one of the best - if not the best - hotel in town, this isn't good enough. At check out, I dropped by the front desk and was a bit surprised that despite having prepaid the rate, I was hit with another bill for the tourist tax (presumably what the city were using to dig the road up right outside the hotel). I'm a fairly regular guest at IHG properties so the next bit really surprised me - the receptionist produced a small card and asked me to rate the hotel from 1-10. I said that because of lack of service at breakfast I was really going to mark them down & gave it a 6. For the first time I can remember with IHG, I didn't get a post-stay survey from the property. Coincidence? I doubt it. Anyway, the property can do better than this and until they up their game, I can't see any reason to stay again.

Sometimes, after visiting Lourdes, we spend a few nights in Toulouse and most times we stay in the Crowne Plaza. It is very central and yet quiet enough to get some sleep. The staff are always helpful and the bar staff attentive. The hotel is close to many restaurants, most of the sites and plenty of shops. We will stay there again in the future.

This was a business trip. I stayed only for 2 nights but I really enjoyed it. It was very nice hotel. Staff was helpful and spoke English. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was busy but always a lot of food to choose from.
