I had to reach out to the host for instructions on how to check in. You have to go around the back of a multiple unit building through a rigged gate and the "front entrance" of this unit is actually a sliding glass back door. This unit is attached to another in the front by a thin locked white door that looks like it'd be the front door in the listing photos. On the other side of that thin door is a very loud family with multiple children that scream constantly. You can hear every single step, bump, and word. We reached out the the owner of this property multiple times. He was wrong about his own wifi name and said he didn't know what it was called. When we complained about the excessive noise, he said he called the tenants and asked them to be quiet. When we brought up that he needed to soundproof and should have made it clear that the unit was so closely attached to another unit, he simply apologized and said he would talk to the tenants. He wouldn't take any of the blame for the poor planning and poor description of the unit. Also, when we messaged back with check in instructions, he mentioned that the oven did not work and the shower was finicky. We tried sitting in the main living area, but the intense noise was so overwhelming we couldn't bear it. We paid over double to get a different last minute VRBO so we wouldn't have to stay there. It drove us and our dog insane. He also withheld any refund and said he'd give partial for a good review, which we refused. Don't stay.
