Room smelled of a horrible vet clinic, very strong fake animal cover up cleaner smell. Staff is was unreliable and very unresponsive. We stayed for one night, TV didn’t work and requested more towels. Front desk said we could “come up to the front desk for a new remote and towels.” We did, waited for a while with no help as they forgot our request. Had to go back up again, two hours later, Front desk said that we have to wait until they switch remotes with a different room, 4 hours later we had a new remote that still didn’t work. Normally, not a big deal but we camped and drove 10 hours, promised the kids a movie and no dice. Rooms are not noise proof, could hear a dog barking throughout the night, even with a sound machine on. Asked the front desk staff for a discount due to TV another working, he claimed that since we booked it externally he needs to call me after talking to his manager… it’s been 48 hours, no call. Would not recommend this hotel. Last rant: Attempted to use the Ice machine, told staff “I must be an idiot, I can’t figure out how to get it to go” was told, “ oh yeah, that’s broken.” No sign or anything. I don’t normally write reviews and we are happy in a cheapo hotel but we spend 250 for one night due to a holiday weekend and this was the worst place we’ve ever stayed.

My kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool. My husband loved the large breakfast buffet. I loved the spacious room. The only thing bad was the house keeping was terrible, we had yo go ask for towels/wash clothes/tiolet paper ourselves.
The room was VERY large, clean, and updated. Due to COVID, they were only offering bagged breakfasts, but it looked like they had a nice space for breakfasts in their lobby area.
It was a great place to spend the night while visiting Mount Rushmore,the covid breakfast was awful and the hotel didn’t have anything open like the coffee shop
Good amenities such as pools and hot tub but breakfast sack instead of buffet breakfast is worthless. Location is good for UTVing and access to grocery and hardware store along with everything else in Hill City. Room was good but bathroom had a goofy layout. Room was dirty when we checked in including a used toothpick laying on the nightstand, used coffee filter still in coffee maker and hair on the pillow.
Terrible hotel. Money Grubbers. On my way out, another guest who had stayed there during bike rally for 17 years said every year there are issues with billing and would never return, so poor service and bad management are the norm for this place. You are taking your chances for a rip off, especially during bike week.
The breakfast was very poor (a bottle of water and food bar). The bed was too soft. Front desk personnel were very helpful and nice. 4 out of 10.
