Convenient for Safari

The location was good. A short walk into the center of town. The location of our room overlooking the rice fields was nice. The rooms were not well maintained.Leaking vanity tap was fixed after our talk about it but it was mentioned from previous reviews. Bathroom door in about to fall off and lots more. The owner and his wife were very nice people and made us feel welcome.

The room has space for the bed and bed only. There's that this a menu, but only one meal option is available. The town has few to no restaurants, and the hotel owner chose to go on holida this closing the hotel rrstaurant. I ended up leaving after a night Ben though I paid for three...y

Comfortable, friendly and convenient Hotel.

Traveller's Home Hotel accommodation and service was great. The owners were very personable and made us feel right at home! They arranged our safari request to a not-frequently-visited area in Yala National Park and we were very pleased with that. The Hotel is conveniently located within relatively short distances from Yala and several other parks and sanctuaries.

One of the best

Lovely family run hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good restaurant and a wide choice of food. Bedroom spacious and we had a ground floor with a lovely verandah giving us a view over the paddy fields. The owner can organise safaris which saves a lot of hassle. We highly recommend this property.

Beach and Bats

Our finest day was borrowing bikes from the hotel and bicycling to Kirinda. Wonderful secluded beach 12 Km from Tissa. Also the evening flight of fruit bats from the large trees at the lake was fantastic. Be there at dusk.
