The manager and the staff are all very nice. The hotel is located in a quiet backlane and has a nice swimming pool and restaurant. Rooms are clean. The beach is close by. Note that there are not so many restaurants in the area. There are a few ATMs closeby, but when I visited, they were closed on 2 days, so bring some cash or go to the money changers
What really makes this Resort excellent is the staff and the Ayurvedic treatments. The staff always have a smile on their face and nothing is too much trouble they go out of their way to accommodate your every need. Lead by Shameer the general manager who ensures a perfect smooth friendly running operation of all departments and making sure that all guests feel included. The 2 young men in the restaurant Villy and Numi need a special mention, my husband and I where there for 12 days during which time they where there for every meal always friendly and helpful remembering all the odd things that we liked. The food also was delicious and varied. We had 12 days of different treatments and massage making us both feel so much better and totally relaxed by the end of our stay. Because of the friendly intimate atmosphere of the resort we met and made some good friends there, another highlight of our holiday.
We visit ideal Ayurveda resort in last week with my friends.... its such a good place.. we enjoy a lot in their.. its a good place to stay.. their food was so good... such a amazing place... we enjoyed a lot in their..
This place is a surprise gem!! The manager is amazing, gracious and beyond helpful with anything and everything you might need. I had just come from an Ayurvedic resort Somatheeram up the street, but I honestly preferred this place. All the staff at the Ideal Resort were kind, talkative and generous, whereas at the other resort they kept trying to overcharge you any time they could. The sweet manager at the Ideal Ayurvedic Resort insisted that I relax and stay past check out and even gifted me a free hour abyangha massage treatment so I could have the full experience. One of the BEST I've ever had: relaxing, rejuvenating and with a warm, skilled massage therapist. If you're trying to choose between this and the ones down the street, stay here! They'll treat you like a royal guest, they're the best!
It is a nice resort but little inside. The resort is built nicely and has a clean swimming pool. The rooms are clean and washroom is nice too. We had massage which costed 800/- per person but it was okay we dint feel much relaxation.
Very nice place, very good ayurvedic massage and the treatment given by the doctor have very good effect on my digestion problems. Chowara beach is a good alternative to kovalam, very quiet, just a few fishermans... The staff is very kind, we will never forget the smile and kindness of Bindu, Sindu and Prabha who are taking care of the guets like the 3 good fairy godmothers. Thank you!
This relatively simple three star resort is primarily known as an Ayurvedic Treatment Hotel. The guest rooms are small and very basic and located around and above the central swimmingpool. Most guests including my wife and I had booked the Ayurvedic package including inhouse medical consultations, all Ayurvedic treatments, full board and drinks such as a variety of health and black teas, fruit juices and mineral water. Upon arrival every guest will enjoy a consultation with one of the two inhouse medical doctors and receive a full and detailed medical check-up as a result of which the wide range of individual Ayurvedic treatments including daily full body, head and foot massages will be determined by the doctor. The fact that the daily resort price not only included room and board but also the medical consultations and resulting extensive Ayurvedic treatments came to us as a welcome surprise which seem to be normal for Ayurvedic resorts in India. Unfortunately we had only booked eight days at this resort. Based on the wonderful experience at the Ideal Ayurvedic Resort we are certain that we will book at laest two weeks at this resort on our next trip to India. The manager, servicing and therapeutic staff and the doctors at this resort are wonderful people and along with the Ayurvedic treatment and delicious food made our stay a memorable experience.
Positioned a short distance down a side road to Chowara beach, a pleasant downhill stroll to the beach. Beautiful golden sand but big waves. There were always tuktuks available if you don't fancy the walk back up the hill. There are a few shops locally selling clothing, souvenirs and a good modern convenience store close by. Rooms are clean and simple. Ayurvedic treatments -room/food/treatment packages are available or can be paid for as individual items . Breakfast was a choice of Indian or western with eggs and plenty of fresh fruit available. Other meals were a healthy vegetarian buffet which we enjoyed for the week we were there, different dishes at each meal. Fresh juices, teas and coffees and bottled water were provided. This is a simple hotel with clean rooms, healthy food and good value Ayurvedic treatments. The staff are friendly and helpful. Transport from the airport was very efficient and day trips and onward travel can be arranged .
Just back from Ideal couldn't fault the place or staff. The food was excellent. My wife suffers from sciatica, but after seven specialist massages targeting the area she has benefited greatly. Rooms very clean. Nice pool.
Just returned from a 2 week ayurveda package at Ideal with dayly massages and yoga. Like last year it was great for both body and soul. We stayed at poolside in nice, clean and simple rooms and enjoyed the ayurveda treatment and the whole atmosphere. Ideal offers a very professional ayurveda treatment - and thats what we came for - but besides that its just a very nice place to relax - a place where we feel at home far away from home. We will come back next year!
