Beautiful hotel. Service was excellent. People were very friendly. Total relaxation and a perfect getaway. I will definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends visiting the area. And I will definitely stay at the hotel during my next holiday.

We stayed there from 20 July, 2017 - 23 July 2017. it was a very relaxing trip. One can reach here by boat and by road. From the airport it is about 35 kms, so it takes nearly an hour by road and it will charge you Rs 1000/- approximately. Great things about it 1 It has a gym, two swimming pools, plenty of area to sit and admire the beach in front with hammocks, buffet service and indoor games. these are all free, but for the pool table its Rs 150/- per hour. 2. For the price that one pays, its a very good deal. 3. Twice a day there is a boat ride to the beach and back. In my experience, that is more than enough. If you want to spend more time, you might get sunburn. There is a small area on the beach that is demarkated. People have to stay inside it. Swimming was strictly prohibited during our stay. 4. Between the resort and the island there is a small rivulet (backwaters) where swimming is permitted. But this also has a strong current. so just be careful 5. The staff are very helpful and co-operative. We had three children under 4 in our group. They will watch the child while the parents eat. Things that are not so great 1. Once you order at the restaurant, the food takes a while to arrive. The waiters there are honest people, they will tell you how long will that particular dish take. So, if you are hungry, order first and then go for a walk or something.... 2. The in-room dining is more expensive than the restaurant food 3. The resort charges a little more to drop one back to the airport. You can always contact local taxi guys. Additional features: 1. They have "afternoon packages 14:00-18:00 hours(not sure of the timings)". It includes buffet, swimming pool and a couple of other ammenities. 2. T.hey also have evening packages 15:00-20:00 hours. includes the same deals. So it can be a great one day trip also!! I think its a must try!!

The resort is beautiful outside and activities that kids would enjoy. But the room is small, with really bad bathroom in terms of cleanliness as well as maintenance. The first day dinner was horrible and so we skipped the lunch the next day. The two other dinners were good. The service is just awesome. On the first day, we used the kids pool near the receiption and water was horrible. We spent only an hour and get out of the pool. The rest room in the restaurant was worse than a normal bus station rest room. Leaking water taps in the toilet and water all over the place.

We love this place as it is far away from crowd and peaceful. We enjoyed the resort by spending some time in pool and on the open sea area and food in the restaurant though food was of a bit costlier side.

Swimming in the pool full of chlorine depite having three pools was unheard of. Service was good but very slow in the dining room though the food was good . Staff are friendly and helpful. Had a villa to ourselves near the pool thus we could overlook all the other drawbacks

Excellent stay .enjoyed it very much.Beautiful scenery very good setting.Staff were all very friendly .If there was a fault it was only with the food and I'm not saying it was bad.Job well done guys ..Bravo

One word to describe the place and the experience: charming. Getting there by road is a bit tedious, luckily we took the scenic route through the water to get to the resort. The place is neat and charming, it has old fashioned decor, mostly wooden, very ethnic. They have a nice restaurant by the water. The food was great; all the meals had food that was cooked well and tasty, breakfast had a decent spread as well. The drinks were terrible however, we had ordered a cocktail and a mocktail. It tasted more like sugar water than anything else, we couldn't even drink it. The staff were very courteous and friendly, and helped us out with anything we needed. The room had a good view, with a nice sit-out. Overall, we had a great experience and I would recommend it for a relaxing stay.

We had chosen Estuary for our quarterly review and we had people from all across India . Everyone was taken by surprise by the sheer beauty of the place . Soby and Team ensured the food and service was top class . Looking forward to the next visit

This hotel is excellent in terms of location and facilities. No other hotel can match its location in Poovar. But staff and service is very poor. Even Food taste is very poor. The buffet has very limited with daily no new item, only repitition. Also the service is very slow at their room service, house keeping, and restuarnt. If u want something in room. Then after order please wait for 5-6 hrs after 3-4 reminders. If u are having food at restaurant then u have to call for water as staff will not serve themselves. They are short of cutlery. If u ask then they will tell u that gone for washing. And the food in buffet gets finished and refilling is very late due to which u end up eating other food. And food taste is average. Not very good. And also the staff at restaurant is very rude to customer...... This resorts also lacks game for kids. Only one game near reception.... In short i will say that if u can compromise the food taste, poor service, rudeness of staff at restaurant then this resort is good. As location is the best....

We stayed here for 5 nights. We made a mistake of staying here on Dec 31st night. We made a mistake of staying rest of the stay. We reached here after a harrowing escape from a fire on a houseboat in Kumarkom. We had planned to spend nice 31 Dec eve and it turned out to be a disaster....if you want to go out for new year eve, Kerala isn't a place to go. We had paid through the nose for the 31st Dec party which was a very poor show. Food was average/below average. Being a vegetarian, I ended up eating Papad for 16,000 rupees. Next morning at breakfast: I realized that tables are dirty the mats have never been washed and there is filth everywhere. So I called the manager who was courteous etc but had no sense of cleanliness. For a hotel charging Rs.9000 a a night this didn't cut ice with us. Next day we got slightly "less filthy" mats but it was impossible to enjoy a good meal in the restaurant. The cleanliness, quality of stuff used in the hotel etc needs a lot to be done. The hotel staff is untrained and does not follow a simple SOP needed in a hotel. That's typical of local Indian hotels...during peak season they will increase the pricing so high that it would beat Oberoi hotels and have a standard of a local lodge and their restaurants will have cleanliness of a dhaba! I would not recommend this to anyone!
