Very good location, the staff is very friendly and discreet, wonderfull breakfast. The hotel is highly entitled for the credentials as "luxury hotel". It is a must see and a must have been there, for the Thessaloniki visitor.
Just the name, Mediterranean Palace, already gives you an indication of what to expect. The staff speak English quite well and the breakfasts were varied and delicious. We were a large group using conference facilities, sometimes taking over the spacious foyer. The staff helped in every way possible. The rooms were large and clean, a balcony large enough to sit on, sip a coffee or even have a meal and watch the locals and tourists go by.The rooms are air conditioned and Oooooo the beds! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo comfortable. The hotel is a stone throw to the sea promenade and a short walk to shops, restaurants and public transport. It was an easy to walk, even for seventy+ year olds, to the places of interest; the White Tower, Roman ruins, museums and culture centre.
All started with a kind, efficient and pleasant contact with the reception desk. The room was comfortable, the housekeepers kind and helpful, the bar was really a nice experience and quiet moment. The restaurant was a high level experience, both for lunch and for a fantastic group dinner... The Aegeo Spa Team, and especially my great therapist RIA was a fantastic, relaxing and happy experience. I arrived on the day of my birthday... I was offered an additional care by the SPA and chocolates delivered in my bedroom. The conference room was very comfortable, the service provided of high quality, very thoughtful...What could be better ? Just perfect !!!
The Mediterranean palace hotel was truly amazing! The rooms are big and clean, with a great balcony, the location is really good, right in the center and close to the best restaurants in the city. The food was also great! I stayed there for 5 nights and had breakfast and lunch and enjoyed every minute of my stay. Highly recommend this hotel!
Hotel is in an excellent location within easy walking distance of the city center, as well as steps from the sea promenade. Our room on the second floor was large and very well appointed with robes, slippers, safe (you must get the key from the front desk), mini bar frig, flatscreen TV, great closet space, and good lighting. We were on the side of the hotel and had a small balcony with a view. Some of the rooms facing front had better views, if you have a choice. Only complaint about room is that there were very few outlets. Our window opened to a busy street, so earplugs were needed if open. Nice goodies in the bathroom. Shower over the tub and a bidet. We slept very well.Breakfast was very good with excellent selection, but you had to ask for coffee, and there was no self-service coffee available. (Instant coffee in the room.) Sauna, steam, and pool are available for use. Pool is basically a large soaking tub and is in the same closed room as the jacuzzi, so the whole area is very steamy. You will be sweating when you get out of the pool. Staff were very nice. Excellent place to stay.
Stayed just one night. Beautiful hotel. We asked for a renovated room and it was really nice. The bathroom and shower were amazing! Great air conditioning and just really comfortable. The hotel is well located with alot of interesting cafes and shops all around. The breakfast was great...the staff who ran the breakfast were so helpful and efficient. I'm vegan and the manager was really helpful letting me know the ingredients of various things and pointing out peanut butter, tahini etc. The ONLY negative is that we were there on a Saturday and the dreaded disco next door played music late. My husband was smart and brought earplugs so he slept fine. We probably should have asked for a room situated on the other side of the hotel. Or we should have gone to the disco! Otherwise a great stay.
Beautifully presented Hotel, very clean and even the “Deluxe” room is spacious. Located right across the road from a lively entertainment precinct with pubs, cafes & clubs. The area also has a really nice vibe with cobble stone streets. The Hotel provides a satisfactory breakfast buffet including fried eggs, nice bacon, mushrooms, juices, fresh fruit, cold meats, etc. Also located a very short stroll to the waterfront where there’s many cafes, and a lovely spot in the mid-late afternoon as the sun sets.
Stayed here for conference a week ago. The hotel is located next to the ferry terminal about a 15 min walk away from the white tower and other sites. Across the road there are a lot of restaurants and bar to choose from. I was in renovated room which was very comfortable and quiet. Everything you could expect was there. All the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast featured a wide variety of items with a mix of local and international dishes. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
I spent great time at Mediterranean Palace Thessaloniki so I hope to be back there soonest! Quality of service, infrastructure, kindness of the staff, all outstanding. Special thanks to the reception staff who assisted during my stay. And of course a huge thank you goes to the staff of the Spa center. Special thanks to Ria for her kindness and to Agatha who managed to reset and restore all muscle fibers of my body, devastated after the 20km. run in Brussels, just the day before. To those who read until the end, go there and enjoy your stay at Mediterranean Palace!
The hotel is beautifully appointed with marble tile, a good restaurant, and convenient bar. It was walking distance to the White Tower, memorials, churches, dining and shopping. The open air market was fun to wander through and see the artful displays.
