This is my second stay at a Capsis hotel as I had previously stayed at their resort in Hrakleion, Crete. While the rooms seem a bit small, they are very comfortable. Shower stalls are very functional unlike in many hotels in Greece where bathroom floor floods. Breakfast has a wide variety to satisfy most appetites. Staff extremely courteous.
Paid almost 100 Euros for a average to poor room, having a smell of an old building...not too pleasant...I would definitely not book it again. Area where is situated is not giving you a safety feeling, is surrounded by old creepy buildings
In the reception area of the Capsis Hotel there is a display board with photographs promoting various parts of the hotel including a beautifully appointed room. Our room was certainly not the one in the picture. We had a reasonable sized room with grey walls and green built in furniture with a dismal view through a small window across an internal courtyard to another guest bedroom surrounded by grubby walls. We had to keep the shutter down to block this out as well as the pigeons that congregated on the window ledge. Some of the Formica on the window ledge was damaged to the extent that it could cause injury. The room had a kettle along with a couple of paper cups. The small bathroom was clean and had the advantage of having a step in shower. There were no toiletries provided apart from soap dispensers by sink and shower. The food provided at both breakfast was generally good, but the size of the hotel and the presence of other tour groups ensured that the dining room could be very busy at times. There seemed to be an ongoing problem accessing a lift at busy times and as you seemed to be waiting for a time while the lifts went up and down past your floor. No was no staircase access except in an emergency. Now I realise that this is not the hotel’s fault in part due to the ongoing metro development it can be in part very grim trying to visit say Aristotelous, the seafront or the Ladadika district from the hotel, especially at night, unless you get a taxi. We were travelling as part of an elderly touring group with Saga Holidays and felt that a hotel nearer to the seafront would have been more suitable and would have shown Thessaloniki in a more favourable light.
Stayed for 2 nights.Typical city hotel not very convenient for main sites, 25 minute walk to sea front through a not very nice area which had a few packs of dogs roaming about. Bedroom was on the small side. Breakfast and dinner was average.
Very good hotel, nice service, comfortable rooms, some places of the hotel are being renovated at present but i didn’t feel any inconvenience about it. Very good breakfasts. I took some dishes from the card, for example pasta with seafood - that was perfect!
Very friendly and warm staff - also very clean place! Great service for our huge group! Thank you! Not the best area of the city- but this we knew already... Kids enjoyed the pool at the roof top but there was no ice cream 😏
can't expect a lot from this hotel nice clean hotel with acceptable breakfast and rooms I would have preferred if they had real soaps and shampoo separate in the bathroom . the dispenser was a let down . to improve the health choices for breakfast
Small and smelly rooms and corridors. Not enough staff on dinning room at breakfast and not eough food for all the coming groups. The staff isnt nice and a bit grumpy maybe because of large groups coming at once.
