We stayed here for the first time and were surprised by the old luxury the hotel radiates. Sitting right at the beachfront, close to many good restaurants and beach clubs, the location is superb. The room was small but clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Bentley bar in the hotel has great cocktails and seating, but is a bit expensive.

We were really surprised about this lovely town by the beach. Everything is very clean and the people are very friendly. We had a very nice room with a balcony with seawiew. We really liked the sand on the beach which is several kilometers long. I recommend that you rent some bikes. This is the Mekka for biking. Wonderful bikingroads along the ocean. The staff is very serviceminded and helped us with bikerental and booking tables in advance. We had the best lobster ever at the Dutch restaurant at the hotel. Perfect stay for 4 nights along with sunny and warm weather.

This is a large beach view hotel. It seems well run and well kept so I'm happy to recommend it for its overall 'hotelness' - it does what it says on the tin and a bit more. The staff are extremely friendly (thanks Ceceiel on the main desk who couldn't do enough for us) and helpful, smart and attentive. Very well staffed and organised - the sign of some good management. The rooms themselves are great - good sized and v clean and great ocean views with balconies. So why 3 star? There a re a number of small things.... The music when you enter the hotel is appalling - incessant awful dance music out of character with the hotel and plaint annoying - it doesn't say anything good on first impressions - it says 'have you looked at your cliental and thought whats right? or do you just love gay disco music - god help the poor reception staff who suffer its endless repetitions day in day out.The decor is extremely dated in design - it seems very well kept and theres lots of new carpets so its not a tired hotel but its like its been recently fitted out with terrible 80's record from carpet design to the endless brass trimmings, naked statues and gross paintings. Its a jumble of ideas with little coherence - but i underline - well kept. Though i have to say the bar ceiling is quite amazing. Shame theres no tea or coffee making facility in the rooms as well. Theres a couple of really nice beach bars over the road and I'm sure if (!) its every sunny and not windy there it must be a lovely place to be. I think my criticisms are more visual (and certainly audio) - the staff are absolutely great and rooms very nice - its more a 3.5/5 review - it'd be 4 if they changed the music !!!

A place like home, we have been there for the fifth time now and will surely come back. Although the hotel interior is not of the latest design, we find it classic and somewhat timeless. Bathrooms are fresh and well equipped. F&B outlets all attractive with a good offer and value for money. The location is AAA directly at the promenade and beach. The hotel team are super friendly and natural.

Don't be deceived by the rather splendid reception area - this hotel needs a revamp! When you arrive, the reception area is quite impressive for a hotel that from the outside looks like a block of 70's apartments. The staff are particularly jolly and happy, but that doesn't prepare you for the time warp that is your room. I think the best description I could give the room is "ornate" but not in a good way. Dated decor, very dark decorative wood, and an old fashioned marbled bathroom makes this look like my Nan's house. And because it's very old wood, it's soooo heavy. You'll struggle to get the wardrobe open if you don't use two arms. Other disappointments are lack of air conditioning (but you will have a balcony so you could open the door and listen to the scooters on the road zooming up and down), awful lighting which has the total luminosity of a dying glowworm even with all the lights on, and absolutely no tea and coffee making facilities. This is a room service menu, but unless you are a billionaire forget it. I phoned up to get a coffee - €9.50! I nearly choked on my own dry mouth. I could have bought a kettle and my own coffee for that. On top of that walls are paper thin, so you can pretty much hear everything from adjoining rooms. To try and find some solace in my new bat cave, I turned to the TV to get some enjoyment. Alas, even the TV was so antiquated it just refused to do anything apart from tell me there was a fault - so I just listened to my neighbours TV instead. But it's not all terrible. The view was beautiful looking out to sea (unless you are overlooking the car park and late night kebab van), the staff were awesome and the restaurant was actually pretty darn good. On the whole, very average for a not so average price, needing a serious revamp to bring it back from Victorian times to the 21st Century.

The most memorable ting about this hotel was how well trained the staff were. Everyone smiled and greeted us no matter where we were in the hotel. They really tried to accommodate us for whatever we needed. The hotel is ideally located across a nice beach and is near restaurants, a shopping area, and market. The hotel and rooms looked a bit worn, but I guess being next to the sea will have that effect rather quickly.

the outside of the hotel looks nothing like picture, it is dated and I would stay at hotel de orange instead, the room we had looked onto car park and had terrible smell of sewage. it wasnt worth the money and would not go back, if we were staying longer than one night we would have asked to move.

I was only one night there for business. The great location close to the beach is good for leisure but of less value for the business traveller. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by. I had a room towards the parking in the back, if you want the beach view select one of the rooms which have. In september the beach is quiet and there is ample parking space. What was missing in the room was power outlets for charging of phone and computer as well a coffeemaker. The minibar was empty. Also I did not have time to try the swimming pool and other facilities the hotel offer. My review may therefore be a bit biased.

We stayed there during the World Lifesaving Rescue Champs and we couldn't ask for a more conveniently situated hotel. This was right opposite the main venue of the competition. Hotel breakfast was good, friendly and helpful front desk/reception. The rooms are a bit out dated, mini bar with nothing in, and no air-conditioning or fan.

The hotel is within 50 metres of the beach at Noordvijk and is a very good quality hotel with a great breakfast and several many good restaurants within walking distance along the beachfront boulevard. The staff are very helpful and the rooms clean and large with big in room safes.
