Hotel Reina Cristina4.0 out of 5.0

I haveto give this hotel 4 out of 5 but it would have been 5 star if the breakfast had been any thing approaching good. However let's concentrate on the good first. It's in a great position easy to find and only 200 yards from a secure car park. All the staff we dealt with, bar 1, were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were also spacious but the sachets of shower gel were a bit 1980's. The town is great and everything was within easy walking distance. What let the hotel down was the unfriendliness of the woman in the breakfast area, the food itself and the cleanliness. There were french fries on the floor, presumably from the night before and several dirty tables that weren't cleared whilst we were there. However it was really the food and drink that was very poor for €10 per head. Orange juice from a machine that seemed to be made from powder given the scum on top and the taste. Cold scrambled egg because the lid on the warming dish was left open, not that the waitress was bothered. I've stayed in many hotels around the world but never had such awful fare. It's a shame because so much else about the hotel is really 5 star, sort it out and I'd stay there again.
The hotel is close room the centre of town. It is also close to the ring road and there is public parking about 200 mtrs away. I left the car there because the price in the hotel is over 15 euros per night. We had room 402 where the balcony is so big it's more like a terrace. There is a table with chairs and a sun lounger. It has good views. We enjoyed the breakfast of sausage, bacon and scrambled egg. There are the usual croissants and healthy options but naturally I ignored them !!
This is our first time staying here @ this hotel. Employee Cesar was a wonderful help thru out our short stay. We booked thru hotels.com and they only had one room type available on the website. My husband asked if they had larger room possibly with a balcony available. They checked and for extra $ we took the room with big balcony. That had a lovely view. Which we enjoyed sitting outside our first night and drank some wine and looked at the stars and beautiful town in lights. Very peaceful and relaxing. The second night it rained. We have been to Teruel in past so my husband knew how to get here to hotel but I could see how it would be difficult to find. No on site parking. There is a pay parking garage about 1 and 1/2 block from hotel. It's about 14 Euros per day. My husband parked on side of hotel to check in and unload luggage then parked in garage. The garage had a attendant who took $ for parking. It has pretty tight corners with our SUV/Jeep four door. It's 24 hour parking garage. But it's for smaller cars any big van etc. I doubt would fit. The room was very clean and we had two twin beds with an additional twin off to the other side which would be good for another person or small children. The beds were pretty comfortable. The pillows are on firm side. A small desk, TV, small safe inside wardrobe. Shower only in Bathroom. No tub. The room was adequate a little cramped with 3 suitcases and laptop bag. No hair dryer or toiletries in room. No coffee or hot tea in room. Water pressure in shower was good. And water was Hot. Breakfast is available for additional charge. It was adequate. Staff working was friendly. I had issue with automatic air freshener in our bathroom. It goes off every 20 mins. Or so and it makes a noise. I kept thinking someone was trying to come into the room. The smell was too strong for me when I came back from sightseeing after several hours. Cesar at front desk came to the room because of language barrier to see what I was complaining about. He was able to disable the dispenser which was much better with the smell (it was overpowering to me. ) but it still makes the noise. This is very close for walking to many sights in Teruel. Also close walking to many cafes, bars, restaurants. Our last night it rained so we took a taxi in city center to our restaurant and it only cost 5 Euros. Well worth it to stay dry. There is a restaurant associated with hotel but we did not try it. It opens at 8:30 pm for dinner. They have some tables and chairs out front of hotel. We were able to have front desk staff check our suitcases and hold them while we went to tour the Cathedral of Teruel before leaving for Madrid. Employee Pablo was also very nice young man who helped us with luggage to our car we pulled up to load bag's. All of the employees here were very helpful and friendly. There English very good compared to some other local hotels. I would recommend.
I spent three nights in the hotel on a business trip and found it really nice. The room was a good size and very well furnished and the bed was one of the comfiest I have slept in in a hotel. Everything in the hotel was very clean and well maintained. My only complaint about the room was the lack of light. It was very dark even with all of the lights on and I think that a floor lamp in the corner would have made a big difference. The breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel is in a good location both for visiting Teruel and for visiting nearby towns with easy access to the motorway. I would definitely recommend it.
We would recommend this hotel every time. Our room was first class. Excellent location. We had a mezzanine with sofa and television where doors led out to a lovely balcony. The room itself was pristine with another television. Beautiful bathroom, enormous bed, selection of fresh fruit, water, etc. The entrance hall/reception, into the hotel, was beautiful. Staff very helpful and friendly. All for 77 Euros. Just cannot fault this luxurious hotel. Thank you.
A very nice hotel in good position tio visit the town. Large room with huge bed and good breakfast medium price. Toruel id a nice town with particular building and good restructuration. You will be surprice
I stayed here for a week, attending a literature conference. The lobby, bedroom and en suite were of the high standard expected of a 4 star. There is also a pleasant little outdoor bar area to relax and have drinks. The meals were served buffet style, and there was always a good choice. Staff were helpful and efficient, and it's spotlessly clean. It is only a short walk to the main square, with its bars and places for coffee, of this historic little city. I arrived by train and started to make my way to the hotel: not far, but it was uphill. However, a local showed me to the elevator that took me to just a few paces from Reina Cristina.
This is a good modern hotel with friendly staff and it's in a great location on the edge of the old town. The bedrooms are a little on the small side, but well equipped with very fine showers. Food is traditional Aragon cuisine, and there are plenty of of good eating places nearby for a change. The Fiesta in the first fortnight of July is quite amazing! I'd happily stay in this hotel again.
Friendly staff, rooms very nice, lovely comfy bed, the bathroom drains smelt, only one mirror & that was in the bathroom, no toiletries no shower cap, no hairdryer, free wi-fi, breakfast poor, hot water out of drinks machine was only warm so my cup of tea was'nt very nice, it was very local to bars & restaurants, the views very nice & there was a fiesta going on while we was there for the weekend which made the town buzzing great atmosphere, we loved the town, pity it was cold & raining but we still enjoyed
