The parador is is decent hotel with classic but not outdated interior. Rooms have a nice size and are very clean. Reception speaks English. For the traveller that likes his luxury abroad and is willing to pay a little extra without any exuberances.
We asked for a quiet room, and were given a lovely room at the end of the corridor, with dual aspect and lovely views. We thought the parador had plenty of character, and was very well situated above the town. The service was exemplary: we particularly appreciated the helpful attention given by Rosa. We enjoyed the food. We would certainly return to this parador.
This Parador at Teruel is a little way from the town so you need to drive in if you want to explore. It is quiet and relaxing and has plenty of free parking. It is on the northern edge of the town so good location if travelling around
A one night stay on the way to a relative's villa and it was extremely comfortable. I have been an Amigo for many years and have stayed in over 30 Paradors. My Amigos card is 10365799. On the way back to France we stayed in Olite and because we had changed our reservation, the rooms were not quite as good, but still enjoyable.
We arrived yesterday at 3.30 on a cold afternoon. On leaving the car to enter the hotel I put my coat on. The next time I took it off was to go to bed. The heating in our room was put on when we arrived, the foyer was cold as was bar and restaurant. People were eating in fleeces, body warmers and thick shawls. The atmosphere was just as cold. In our room the toilet seat was broken, as was the vent in the window, the bathroom door wouldn’t close and the radiator was about 18inches square. Two good points, the staff were very friendly and the food, though greatly over-priced was good. Also as Amigos de Paradores we should have been given a welcome drink, which we were not. It is time the Parador hotels took a lesson from other less expensive chains.
I stayed with my family for xmas holidays, very clean, excellent food and very nice people working at the hotel, helpful at all time, parking very easy, very close to the center by car (2min), lovely building and interior decoration. Many thanks for everything
I have to say the hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained. We could not fault the room or the amenities. Our only downside was the evening meal we had. Having driving all day, we decided to eat in the hotel as we were too tired to go out. Sadly the menu was a little uninviting and confusing with out lack of Spanish, a little overpriced for our liking too. Can not fault the hotel in all but just would not eat in the restaurant myself again as it stands.
We stayed for 2 nights, the first evening we ate in the main restaurant the second in the bar/conservatory area and the food was superb in both. We went to Albarraccin, a very old village then drove back through the National park area which was a lovely drive we stopped to see the big birds with binoculars then we were lucky to see some Deer and even got out of the car to get some photos, a 2 hour drive with stops but well worth it.
We wanted a place we could get to in a relatively short drive from the Costa Blanca, and picked Teruel and the Parador. We were not disappointed. The Parador is lovely, and Teruel is fascinating. We particularly enjoyed dinner - we had the regional special dinner for two, which was fantastic. The next day, drove to Albarracin, toured this fascinating town, and had an easy return to the Costa Blanca.
Easy to find, plenty of parking....and everything you’d expect from a Parador. Warm, helpful reception staff, well-appointed room and the high quality food I’ve come to expect from the Parador chain...and situated close to a town that is worth a visit.
