The room is small compared to other paradises. The breakfast is reasonable. Staff: Reception was unfriendly and unattended. Overall staffing of the staff we experienced as: unattractive, not involved with us as guests and in performing tasks. The result was that we did not feel welcome there. Unrecognizable with the other paradors we visited during our vacation (Salamanca and Cuenca). The pool is beautiful. During our 3 day stay in Teruel, we visited the swimming pool every day. The first 2 days there was a lifeguard who took care of everything and made it a beautiful swimming pool. The third day there was someone else who did not have an eye for it. Tables lay on their side. Beds were stacked along the side of the pool instead of plunged onto the lawn, parasol. This gave a messy and unwelcome impression.
The Spanish Paradors are wonderful buildings in Spain, beautifully decorated and spacious in all ways, Their only downside is the staff. Because the staff are Spanish Government employees they have a problem with being morose, not welcoming and typically ignoring the fact you are a guest, both at reception and in the restaurants. I have been in dozens of Paradors and it is always the same. I live in Spain and the Paradors would be amazing if they could get the staff attitude right like other privately run establishments That being said the Parador in Teruel is really well placed for motorists and our room was delightful, very clean. I definitely would return.
Room 108 is a superior room, more like a small suite. A very large pool area in a quiet garden with supervision. The parador is a twenty minutes walk from the city center. In Teruel you can easily spend half a day, but be aware of almost everything being closed in the afternoon. Los Amantes was somewhat disappointing commercial.
This was an excellent one night stopover and fulfilled all our expectations of a good Parador. Easy, free parking. Smooth check in. Here the staff are very welcoming (which I must admit is not always the case in these hotels)! It is a lovely old, well maintained building. Very nice, clean and spacious room. Good aircon and decent free wifi. We had room 125 which appeared to have been recently refurbished and even had a large balcony, strangely no balcony furniture though. This Parador has a lovely pool surrounded by grass and with nice sun loungers and umbrellas. A lifeguard was on duty but it was not too busy, very peaceful in fact. There is a very pleasant cafeteria/bar area where we enjoyed a good snack lunch and we dined in the restaurant later which was also a good meal. They even had an outside BBQ available for the summer which a number of guests were enjoying. This hotel is just off the motorway and a little out of town but is very tranquil. Thank you Parador of Teruel for a very enjoyable stay.
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food & service in the restaurant. They were excellent. We have found some Parador restaurants to be extremely questionable with their food quality & service.
The hotel offers free WIFI but the internet signal is very poor, they could do with upgrading.. it was a relaxing and comfortable stay.. the hotel is very close to the motorway but with driving distance to the town..
This is a pleasant but not spectacular Parador. The room on the first floor was lovely, with large double bed, tasteful decor and minibar. It was spacious and airy with very good air conditioning. Bathroom clean and functional. I found the staff on reception to be somewhat cold in manner.
Had a very enjoyable one night half board stopover. Our room quite small and not much of a view - think it worth paying extra to upgrade. Dinner and breakfast were fine but if we stay here again we will probably get a taxi to nearby Teruel for evening meal. Nice benches in the shade of the trees to relax, but a pity that the swimming pool was not open as the temperature was in excess of 30C.
We were a group of nearly 90 on a classic car tour we had a good welcome from reception and the serving staff were friendly and had a sense of humour. The food considering catering for our group of nearly 90 was very good, like wise the breakfast was good with an excellent choice. The bar coped exceptionally well with our group!
Teruel, "la ciudad de los amantes" is a worthwhile Location full of fascinating sights and good shops and bars. We liked staying in the Parador because of the tranquility which surrounds it. The hectic of the service in the restaurant and in contrast to that the slowness in the breakfast room were a bit annoying. A coffee-machine would be highly appreciated.
