Our stay at Panorama Lodge was above and beyond what we could have ever hoped for. We stayed for three nights and for a family with kids ranging from 5-13, I feel that the length of stay was perfect. We loved everything about the property, the cleanliness, the attention to details, the views, the location, being able to unplug from the world but still having WiFi if needed, the communication with the owner, and my list can go on and on. I do recommend you stop at a grocery store or Walmart on the way in for any food items, there is a small general store which is nice for last minute things, but the prices are a bit high and the variety is scarce. We stopped at the Walmart in Fort Stockton on the way in and got everything we needed. We visited the Terlingua Ghost Town and ate at Taqueria El Milagro and Espresso y Poco Más and highly recommend both locations. We also visited the Terlingua Trading Company for souvenirs and had fun exploring all the trinkets and learning about the history of the building. We went to Big Bend National Park and hiked two easy trail since we had kids. We explored Tuff Canyon and Lower Burro Mesa trails. Overall I give Panorama Lodge 5 stars, and ever since we left my husband and I have been talking about our stay there and trying to figure out when we will be back.
