We have stayed here several times as timeshare members. We enjoy its location only 15 minutes from the airport and right on the sea front with view from all the apartments. This time we stayed in a two bedroom unit which had been refurbished to a high standard. My wife complained that the hair dryer was too far from the mirror, but when that's is the only negative that readily comes to mind, you realise that the apartment was very good. Large balcony with view over the sea and morning sun, stylish comfortable interior and load of space. Two couples would prefer two bathrooms - those apartments are available. It a big resort and everyone gets a bit lost from time to time, but in a way that is part of its charm. No floor is the same and the rooms appear to be slightly different. We have never found too much trouble finding a sun bed if needed, but tens to avoid the high season. We hire a car and have paid a small amount extra to use the underground car park which is useful. There are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance, but there is a restaurant and pool bar and a roof terrace bar on site. We will be returning.
We come here every year for some winter sunshine as Diamond Resort members. VIP arrival and highly delighted with our fabulous apartment. Couldn`t fault anything. Immaculate and well fitted kitchen with comfortable lounge and dining area. Huge and comfortable bed with firm but soft pillows. Soooo comfortable. Stunning en suite was a pleasure to use. Spent most of our holiday on the large sunny balcony facing the ocean. Had a swim every day in the heated pool and enjoyed Happy Hour 5pm - 6pm on the Breeze Terrace where we were delighted to meet up with friends from previous visits. Thanks to all staff, from reception to housekeeping, for making this such a relaxing experience
Very attractive resort well kept and very clean. Apartments well equipped and comfortable. Lovely swimming pool and plenty of space for sun bathing. The restaurant was large and well decorated but the food was just ok
We had a great experience, Miguel, Cristina from The reception are the symbol of the care you find in this resort! The swimming pool is very clean and the common areas are all children friendly! Rooms are fully equipped ( peeler, grater etc...) and the cleaning ladies are nice and helpful! We will come back for sure! Thank you :-))) Oh... and be nice!!! We saw customers very rude with the staff, for no reeason ... so if you are angry ... go elsewhere :-) this seemed to us a place that deserves happy customers and smiles :-))
The hotel is in several blocks with a variety of lifts and levels. It takes a while to work out where you are. Our one bed apartment was excellent and got the sun in the morning. Spa was rather lame, only two two people hot tubs. Pool area was ok, staff were friendly and generally helpful. Our all you can eat barbecue was a set plate of meat, no options or extras. Menu was main plus desert, no option to change, take the desert or leave it. We asked for a garlic bread starter instead of the desert, was told that was ok, then got charged for it. We didn’t eat in the hotel again after that. Several moderate restaurants nearby, but avoid the Irish pub, looked like drug dealing in the toilets.
Myself, my partner and our 2 half year old went to the santa barbara hotel in Tenerife by Diamond resorts. We have been to Tenerife many many times before but stayed at the Costa Adeje end whigh we like. So when we booked this hotel we just thought and hoped it was OK! It is approx 20 mins awayou from airport, in direction of but before you get to Los Christianos. It is sat right on the ocean front. I requested a room with sea view which is what we got, we had a 1 bedroom apartment (707) and the view was just wonderful of the sea. The room itself was clean tidy well maintained and comfortable. The hotel has many lifts so easy to get to room with toddler. The hotel restaurant was nice food and great staff. The swimming pools were nice and heated. There are places to eat nearby such as the nautical cafe and then the harbour at Los abrigos which is amazing. All in all we will return again, it was a relaxing break with our toddler away from the hustle and bustle. Nice clean, well maintained hotel with helpful staff.
Although a lovely hotel with great staff and service we were very disappointed at this hotel being offered as a part of the diamond resorts membership. We were given a large 2 bedroom room with big balcony however there was only 1 bathroom and the room needed a revamp. the room was cleaned 3 times during our stay but only clean towels twice. We also didn't receive the usual welcome amenities such as basic bread tea coffee and didn't feel this resort was a part of the diamond as most guests were non members and there's no longer a concierge service! pool towels, internet and spa/gym are all included at this hotel. there are always plenty of sun longers and the pool was heated. hotel and grounds very clean, staff very friendly and excellent value and food at the pool bar. €15 and 15 mins from airport. some local bars and restaurants in walking distance but not many shops. the Chinese restaurant and sushi restaurant are very nice and also offer a great vegetarian selection. €5 in taxi or short walk to San Blas where there's a larger range of bars, restaurants and some English restaurants too also a supermarket and a few shops. the area is very quiet so we wouldn't recommend if you like to stay out and eat later than 9pm. the Irish bar across the street is about the busiest and offers entertainment every night. €20 in taxi to Los cristianos and €25 to Las americas where we played crazy golf and a 60 min escape room!
This hotel exceeded all expectations, and helped to make a wonderful holiday. Decor and facilities were lovely, and there was always something to do if you wanted it; free Spanish lessons, paella demo, aquafit etc etc. The room was spacious and well equipped - the kitchen even had a dishwasher and microwave if you wanted to fully self-cater - and little things such as a torch if you found the footpaths too dark at night. We were lucky to have a West-facing balcony overlooking the marina, which meant evening sun, and shelter from the cool Easterly breezes (which brought the smell of sewage and dust from the major building work with them). The icing on the cake though is the staff. Every single one from the top to the bottom was very polite and helpful, but special mention must go to Viktoria in Reception, Sylvie in the pool Bar and Claudio DJ who braved those cool evening breezes to deliver some amazing sounds. Another surprise was the great value at the Pool Bar (Tuna Jacket 3.75 Euros) and prices in the on-site supermarket. All in all highly recommended, and if we can get a decent price for the whole of January 2019 we will definitely be back!
When most talk about Tenerife is about the north of the island, it is nice to share a hotel with great service in the south. The staff are fabulous at this hotel, probably because it has a home ownership part. The facilities are kept lovely and clean. Room size generous. So if you are staying south I would give this resort hotel consideration.
The resort was nice, although not really our style (we prefer private homes or villas). The front desk was not operating as a resort of this level should. We were checking in late (1030 pm) and as usual, very hungry. The front desk clerk started checking us in and then got distracted by another clerk. They tried to solve some problem, and left us waiting for at least 20 minutes. By the time we got to our room, which was much bigger than the booked studio, all restaurants in the area and the hotel were closed. We had to take a taxi and start hunting for food, which we eventually found. No thanks to the hotel personnel. The resort was clean and nice, but not suitable for my kind of a traveler. Also, there's a waste water treating facility nearby which brings in occasional odor of human waste in certain areas of the resort.
