We stayed for 7 nights, the location is excellent the staff can't get more helpful. The room was good, breakfast had it all and more. Two sweaming pools one of which with salty water and a perfect view.

Excellent hotel with a great welcome, extensive facilities, and very nice touches such as live musical entertainment at breakfast (violin, piano, flute) and in the evening (live singing and dancing). Great location and lovely sea views. Very comfy sun loungers with mattresses and nice towels. Room was well equipped with lots of wooden hangers in the wardrobe, wine & champagne glasses and real carnations in the bathroom. Renovation works were not disturbing as we were not in our room from 11 to 5 each day.

Location, facilities and staff excellent! We didn't hear the noice of the building work since we didn't stay in the hotel during days. We stayed at the hotel (room 108) from 23/12/2017 untill 29/12/2017 and if we go back to Tenerife, it may be in Jardin Tropical because we have no complaints at all...

If you value your money even a tad bit and don't want to ruin your family's vacation, stay away from this hotel. We were a family of 4 having the misfortune of staying here for 3 nights over the festive period of Christmas and New year. Having paid a lot of money for these dates, we were expecting there to be reasonable customer service. Right from our check in experience, the horror started. The guy receiving us at the entrance was extremely unhelpful in advising us on parking spots nearby or helping with luggage. We were then given two rooms on level 1 which had multiple problems. - Telephones not working (the layout of the hotel is strange with different stairs for different parts and without a telephone in your room it is a 10min walk to the reception every time) - No kettle in both rooms for tea and coffee - Lights not working in one room - Toilet seat cover broken in one room - Sofa missing from one room - Wet floor in one room from AC water dripping We were given these rooms despite our check in experience not being great and is telling them we were unhappy. When the management were told of these issues, the attitude did not suggest they were taking it seriously as we were told it will be looked into. A room change was not offered on the first night. The next day we hoped the issues would be fixed but we come back to our room in the evening to find a kettle kept in each room but none of the other issues addressed. We then went to the reception again to point this out and were offered one of the rooms to be changed to another part of the hotel. Given we were a family, we would have liked rooms together or in vicinity. We were told both rooms could not be changed. We understand the hotel was full during these busy dates but at no point were we also offered a refund/ compensation for our bad experience. I would stay away from this property if I were looking for a nice resort with good staff for a relaxing time.

We stayed in room 672 from 27/12/17 to 05/01/18 for a post Christmas break and to celebrate my partner’s New Year birthday. This is the tenth time we’ve stayed at the hotel in recent years. We’ve always thoroughly enjoyed staying here, hence our repeat custom. We will be considering other options going forward as a result of our experience this time. Firstly I would like to compliment the hotel’s location, facilities and its staff who were on the whole friendly and courteous throughout. What a fabulous place to stay - ordinarily! Unfortunately this time major building works were being undertaken at the hotel and whilst this was advised in advance, we did not expect the major building work to be being undertaken literally next door to, above, and below our room throughout the entire duration of our stay. Whilst I understand the need to renovate and modernise, surely this room should have been left empty as a buffer for noise to guests. With the exception of New Year’s Day, the noise began at around 7.30am and continued throughout the day, every day of our holiday - from hammering on the other side of our headboard to chiselling of tiles, sanding floors and the constant, relentless drilling. It has been horrendous and not the relaxing Christmas break we’d looked forward to. We haven’t had a decent night’s sleep since we arrived and returning to the room during daylight hours is not an option. My partner was unwell for 48 hours during our stay and there was simply no respite. The experience has quite simply been unacceptable. We paid a significant amount to stay here at this time of year and did not expect our stay to be so uncomfortable or disrupted. In addition, we commented on arrival that the room did not have a double bed (despite booking a double room) only to be told the hotel doesn’t have them. After 4 nights falling between the gap and some research on Trip Advisor I found out you could make the bed as a double. Following a request at reception, the situation was rectified but I question why was this not offered to us on our first night when we originally asked the question. Or more importantly already done as we did book a double not a twin. We are due to stay with the hotel again for Easter 2018 but are now seriously considering our options in light of such a poor experience this time. No apology was made at any point and though we did request another room which reception agreed to look into, we never heard from them again. On our last night we were offered a free meal apparently to compensate a £4000 holiday? They have now agreed to upgrade our rooms for our March stay at the hotel but won’t say what the upgrade is? The hotel was beautiful inside, a good walking distant about 15 mins, if you went out of back gates to las americas or 5 mins if you turned right to costa adeje. we found some good english pubs, the only thing i did moan about was there was only 2 english channels on the tv paramount,and sky news. we did not hear any noise from the reconstruction at all it must have finished.

Jardin Tropical is very nice hotel and suitable for people who like to walk and enjoy seaside promenades. In the garden of the hotel pool areas and decorations are matching well the charming architectural style of the main building. Our room (club room) was small, the bathroom nice but the washbasin somehow impractical. The price was quite expensive. But the view on the balcony was splendid, over the sea towards the Isle of Gomera. Unforgettable sunsets! The breakfast buffet was good and the evening buffet was ok. The new restaurant Food Market was just opening and we visited it in the very first evening. It feels promising . The hotel was still under the constructions and that was, perhaps, causing minor harm for visitors. Not that much for us. The personal was very friendly and the service worked well. Thank you. We are a couple of 70 plus and we were a second Time visiting Jardin Tropical. We still found several stairs of the hotel area just a good exercise for us, but In coming decades that can be a problem. Hope not in the next year?

Very nicely built and situated hotel where you can relax during the day and enjoy the very good restaurants at night. I would rate this hotel 4 stars. The style of the furniture is a mixture of industrial, design and rural. The area outside the hotel is not my taste. Very cheap restaurants and shops.

On our first morning we woke up to the noises of a reconstruciton, which was next to our door directly! The renovated the hotel, while we tried to rest and spend our honeymoon there. It was awful, the yelling, the noise, the dust, we had to escape out of the room literally. When we complained at the reception they were just smiling, promised everything and didn't do anything. On our second day, the water came out next to the toilet under the floor. They send someone to fix it in the afternoon. We had to wait for him in the room while he was repairing for 2 hours! The same evening when we got back to our room after dinner around midnight, the dirty water came out again!!! They didn't repair it, just did something to it, but it was still broken inside somewhere, so the water came up next to the toilet from the floor. They put some towels for the night and we had to go to the public toilet this night and the next day. They finally repaired it, but everything was dirty from the sewer water... There were also ants in the room, small ones, everywhere. And when we took a shower the water flood under the shower door to the floor, so we had to put towels to the floor every time we used the shower..When we asked refud (because we paid in advance), they gave us a free dinner as a compensation. This is ridiculous, considering tat this is a luxury hotel - or at least they try to classify their hotel this way. We could pay for dinner, we just wanted to enjoy our stay there, or change the room, or get refund as gesture so we could see that they care. But they didn't. Every day 5-6 people stood at the reception and complained to the same things. So they made our stay awful...

The hotel is pleasant. The rooms are adequate with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The pool area is lovely but imagine in the height of summer it would be chaotic. Breakfast had every food choice imaginable that was cooked to a decent standard, I liked the fact there was freshly squeezed orange and cava! The staff were all lovely and very friendly and the lady cleaning our rooms did a brilliant job. The downside was the spa was closed due to the hotel being renovated ( we were told it would have been finished for when we were there ) and the location. The hotel is in the rough end of Adeje. If you're not bothered by loud pub type places, scruffy shops and being pestered by restaurant staff as you walk past you're ok but if you are I recommend you stay further up near Del Duque.
