OMG! This hotel only pushes 2 beds together! The most uncomfortable hotel in the world!!!. The best thing about this place is the staff. They all were really nice. We were in room 176 which has an adjoining door which was slatted and so was the other side. So you can hear every single noise from your Nieghbour. Even them opening a carrier bag! Absolutely disgusting really as you have no privacy whatsoever! Was here for 4 nights, we don’t like to complain, but on the 3rd night the Nieghbour opened his side of the adjoining door and we could see him through the slats. We complained and they did move us to a junior suite and told us that did have a proper double bed, but it didn’t. So I fell through the gap again trying to have a cuddle! They have obviously tried to save money as they are the cheapest most horrible beds I have EVER! encountered! Disgusting guys. Whoever is responsible for all the single beds should be sacked!! My advice is don’t stay here if you want to feel comfortable! It’s probably fine for couples that no longer want affection.
Absolutely stunning hotel, our chosen venue for marriage next year. Highly recommended. We will be returning. Rooms very clean all staff very friendly from arriving to checking out. Pools are spectacular plenty of beds absolutely amazing views.
Bit of a let down, rooms look great on website but closer inspection bathrooms need updating. Good not great, ate out most days and that’s a first for us. Nice area and pool but don’t look for bbq night because it doesn’t exist.
We payed good amount of money to have a different experience, we had different experience but not in a good way. Very first day we had problems with technical issues and also there was no hot water, lovely lady manager of that day kindly she changed our room to the other side but still there are some other issues, we could not use beds in sunset deck we had to pay, we couldn't use beds down satirs by the ocean we had to pay 40£. Every body running their own business . The breakfast was the basic breakfast I ever had in my life. The building job when you have breakfast was nightmare. In total was good but not as a 4 star hotel it was good for 3 star or bed and breakfast and much cheaper than what we payed. Not recommended at all.
Just a review to say we had a fantastic family holiday recently at Jardin Tropical and would definitely love to go back again soon. Yes there are renovations- but don’t worry - they were well managed and did not interfere with our holiday at all. The staff were so friendly, helpful and pleasant. Fantastic lifeguards- and photographer. The highlight for us was the location, the atmosphere and the food! All theatrically prepared by the most skilled chefs...”. Just Superb. We simply can’t think of anything negative about our stay. Thanks to all the staff.
Lovely hotel very different from all the others close by as the architecture is stunning and really feels like a tropical garden. Refurbishment was ongoing whilst we were there but was done very well and hardly affected us. Wonderful variety of food and very pleasant staff. We look forward to our next trip!
Despite certain limitations created by building work this was a fantastic stay , the rooms are lovely and newly refurbished , the gardens/pool great, the staff helpful and attentive and finally the food offer was great -both the breakfast and dinner buffets offered the widest choice I have ever experienced . I never revisit holiday destinations as I love new experiences, however, this is a place I would make an exception for
Last week I went with my boyfriend on a holiday to the lovely hotel Jardin Tropical. We were very kindly received and checked in by the reception. We knew there were renovations in the hotel but didn’t bother us at all. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and we will definitely come back to this hotel!!!
Myself and my partner stayed here for her 40th birthday. We arrived and had a free upgrade to a junior suite as a gift from them. What a lovely touch. The room was dressed with balloons and gifts and was beautifully re-furbed. The whole hotel was fantastic even during the alterations which we knew were going on. The works caused us very little disruption. The staff were all amazing, attentive and couldn’t do enough for each and every guest. So, will we return? Definitely yes when the works are complete. From an hotel point of view, now may be a good time to say I have run my own, the only place I could find fault was in the bar prices. I feel if they were lowered to bring them in line with lots of other bars near by, then more people would stay on site and enjoy the facilities even more. I appreciate that they may not want to lower the clientele but as a hotel guest only bar, with cards to gain access then you know the people who would be using the bars more. I appreciate staffing costs but again. Maybe the likes of the beautiful sunset bar could stay open later. In saying this, we will definitely be returning early next year. A fantastic hotel in the best setting with superb professional staff. Many many thanks.
Having visited Tenerife on 5 other occasions we decided to try the Jardin Tropical for a weeks holiday. When we booked the holiday we were advised that there would be renovation work happening at the hotel but that they would try to keep the disruption to a minimum. On arrival, the Hotel looked lovely, rooms were fine, plenty of cupboard space, bathrooms spacious. We had a wander around the outside of the hotel and all looked lovely, but it was dark as we had arrived early evening. The first morning we were woken at 7.45 by the sound of someone scraping a wall in a room close by. This also happened on the second morning. I know you don't want to lie in all day on holiday but this was a bit too early for building work to start. On the first day around the pool area, it became apparent of how much building work was going on. The whole block behind where we were sitting was being refurbished and we had the constant sound of drilling and other electrical tools being used. The baby pool was closed due to the refurbishment of the block that was close by. There was also building work being done at the other side of the pool, I think this is going to be a new restaurant. The pool bar was closed and being refurbished. Half of the dining room was closed off and there was constant noise and drilling while you were trying to eat breakfast. One of the terraces was also closed. We had read that work would not be done on the Saturday but there was still noise. Although we knew when booking that there would be some disruption I feel very let down that a lot of the hotel was closed due to repairs. We we're able to buy an ice cream at the hotel, so had to go outside to a mini market to get the kids one to eat. On the last day we had a room to change in because we had a late pick up. We had showers but the bathroom flooded because the water didn't run away quick enough. It flooded out to the actual room and we had to use the towels to mop up. This was a newly refurbished room, so be careful! The hotel will be lovely when everything is done, food is nice and the two men that cook the fresh meat and fish were very entertaining. Breakfast was nice. Location is great and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. We did have a nice holiday but unfortunately I feel that the hotel was not worth what we paid to stay there. Won't go back, will try somewhere else close by.
