Currently staying in Hotel/Apartment Andorra. After viewing the feedback and seeing all the excellent advertising photos we thought that we had found the perfect spot to come to year after year but unfortunately the treatment of us so far is poor. We requested a pool view and asked again the desk on arrival if we were getting a pool view. The receptionist assured us that we had a pool view. No pool view. They put us in an apartment overlooking the bins at the side. Definitely not a pool view. The noise at from the bin lorries from 6:30 to 7:30 is by far the worst interruption we have had in the last 15 years. When asked if gluten free options are available for my wife we were assured that there are plenty of options available by the same man at reception. That’s ok if you like lettuce and carrots. Last night my wife had soup and we left. The contempt they showed by blatantly lying to us is at reception very unsatisfactory. As for breakfast we didn’t use them today because we can’t trust getting the gluten free bread or service. I doubt we will be back in the restaurant. This is extremely disappointing as we had paid extra for half board and a pool view, now we have to eat out. I am of the opinion that the excellent reviews come mainly from the people who stay in the hotel not the apartments, which don’t have direct access to the pool area. You would have to leave the building and go along the main road for entry. Not a great imposition but I wouldn’t have chosen this apartment if I had known. Needless to say I won’t be returning.
Friendly and helpful staff, bright and spacious apartments even if they were little worn. Hotwater supply were a bit too limited in the apartment where we stayed. Good and priceworthy breakfast. The poolarea was clean and tidy and the water was very good. Very close to beaches and amenities. Will we return? Of course!
Stayed here a couple of times and the rooms in the main building are excellent. The pool area is clean with plenty sunbeds, breakfast was a bit limited but there are so many places to get breakfast in the area it isn't an issue. Great location.
stayed here 1 week room 318 facing road no noise from road sunny all morning till 1pm room new ish nice big beds tv English channels on it bathroom needs attention to match the rest of apartment fridge and other hobs if needed food ok got better as week went on leaving could not keep room for a bit longer no where to shower when leaving either great location for shops ,bars, beach
Lots of ramps throughout hotel, lots of grab bars in bathroom, high first floor superior apartments recently renovated and adapted to persons with mobility issues. Best of all, electric contacts for charging a rented electric mobility scooter just 20 feet from the main entrance/reception area and about 50 feet from your apartment door. Mobility scooters can easily be rented through the reception/ delivered to door - lots of options even 2-person scooters. Air-con temp. can be regulated down to 19'C; good breeze through balcony door and bedroom window (Jan.). No ceiling fan. Very clean facility. Beautiful handicap accessible toilet facilities in reception. Good Wifi connections. Mattresses typically firm as is usual in this area. Must give the staff top marks too - I was a fairly demanding customer due to my mobility issues, but was met with open-minded, solution oriented folks. So appreciated that! Best cup of coffee I ever had in my life at the breakfast bar. I was told that the pool is heated to about 22-24'C in the winter. This town deserves high marks for its super easy accessibility - wide, wide mostly marble-lined sidewalks, no high curbs, just smooth sailing. Public beaches at Playa de las Vistas have wooden boardwalks for wheelchairs right down to the water. Not very crowded in January. (little grocery markets are not accessible by electric scooter though) This hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood, yet still in the midst of "it all" so only completely quiet between about 11pm and 7 am. (some kind of entertainment going on most nights somewhere nearby between 8-10pm) Loved the nearest beach - lovely walk along Paseo Francisco Andrade Fumero, which is partially tree lined. There are luxury hotels along this beautiful walkway - about a 10 min. walk from hotel. Not as commercial as further west. Beautiful sunset from this beach too. We took a day trip to the zoo in the north! Make sure you book an electric wheelchair in advance. VERY hilly.
Stayed here in an apartment on the ground floor and it was a great find!! Situated a stones throw from all the restaurants, night life and beach. But not too close that you could hear any noise. Great furnished room and well equipped kitchen. I even cooked some meals when i didnt want to eat out. The pool area was great. Lots of sun loungers and a great bar. Staff were always polite and helpful with local information. I'd stay here again with no doubt!
We stayed in 2nd floor studio room located in the annex, there was no lift and was reached by outdoor staircase, no problem for people without mobility issues. We loved the large sunny balcony overlooking the pool area. The kitchenette was useful size with fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster and cooker. Breakfast in the hotel dining room was good value. To reach the heated pool (well maintained) and hotel lobby we had to walk along the pavement about 20 metres. TV had 5 UK channels, including BBC 1&2, ITV, C4 + C5. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable, staff helpful. Rooms had no aircon or heating, not a problem for us in January. Bus stop close with route 450 direct to airport. Overall excellent visit would recommend.
Nice hotel very clean staff very helpful and friendly. Beds are very comfortable. Great Location of hotel very close to restaurants and bars. Lots of different shops around. Two supermarkets within a few mins walk. The beach is less than 10 mins walk away. The thing I liked most about the area was that it’s all flat walking no hills. Internet very good
My partner and I stayed in the apartments over the new year period. The room was spacious and very clean, if a bit dated. The location of the hotel is ideal and is close to a number of supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The beach is also only a ten minute walk away. We were pleasantly surprised given the reasonable price we paid over the festive period.
Good location, rooms spacious we had a superior room in the main building.Kitchenette a bonus but no kettle. Pool area was too small for us & didn't get the sun until lunchtime. Breakfast & buffet was nice but not a great variety. We enjoyed staying here our room overlooked the road which is a bit noisy but great view of mountains & sea. Safe is free but had to pay 40 euro deposit which is refundable.
