GF Noelia is a nice, clean hotel with a good pool area, the staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly. However we were really disappointed with the food, the cooked breakfast was oily and hardly palatable and the cold breakfast very limited. The evening meals were overcooked, bland and also oily, in my opinion the hotel tried to offer too much choice for the guests and the food would have been better with less choice and cooked correctly. The saving grace was the freshly grilled meat and fish, although they again used too much oil for my taste, and the salads. It was always our intention to eat out occasionally but because of the poor quality/choice of food we ended up eating out 8 of the 14 days that we were there. I would stay at the Noelia again but probably room only and not half board.
clean hotel but out the way of nightlife , caters more for the spanish , not much choice food wise, tried it but wouldn`t go again ,staff were more helpful to the spanish guest in all areas apart from the maids who were very thorough and polite ,
Just returned from here very disappointed. Wouldn't advise for families. Very Unhelpful staff from the start we arrived we 3 suitcases late at night with two very young children no one offered to help with our cases my husband had to make numerous trips up and down in the lift. Very outdated hotel you can tell it's been 13 years since it was last done! The food was terrible very limited choice only a couple of choices so limited for children hard chicken nuggets rock hard pizza partly covered with cheese plain boiled rice. Fruit was very poor could tell it was not fresh brown mushy banana's and flies around the fruit it was either not fresh or canned fruit poured out into a bowl in syrup. Breakfast was poor and limited also we bought weetabix and took them down with us for 6 of the days! Hotel opposite is very noisy sadly. the restaurant was late opening a couple of times we and other guests was waiting around which wasn't helpful as the meal times wasn't the best anyway lunch was until 1pm and tea was until 7pm which as a young family is too late Again on checking out and leaving no one helped us with our suitcases my husband did three trips back up and the male receptionist watched me waiting for him to come up and back down with our cases Not for families
This is a three star hotel and worth every one of them. The hotel is spotless, the staff are friendly and helpful, too many good ones to name them all, but two in particular are Antonio on reception and Pilar our room cleaner. The only negative at all is outside their control, and that is the outrageously loud music from Be Live Tenerife next-door on the weekend. Please take advantage of the local buses which are excellent, and explore the island. If I were to return to Tenerife, then it would be the Noelia.
we stayed for 10 nights as a couple and found it very good value for money. We were half board and found the food good with lots of selection for breakfast and dinner. The rooms are big with a handy kitchenette, TV (with ITV and BBC), hairdryer, balcony with table and chairs. It's very clean and cleaned daily and towels changed. The staff are a credit to this hotel, they are great, always ready to help, polite, have a good sense of humour and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We enjoyed the music entertainment Canarian style in the hotel bar. The hotel is central, a five minute walk to the bus station (get familiar with the buses we travelled all over the island for about 8 euros on average per trip. The bus drivers are helpful and speak good English!) a 10 minute walk will take you into the centre of Puerto which is delightful especially the beaches and square. It's very busy on a night with a good atmosphere. There is also a supermarket about 5 mins away too which is very reasonable. We visited Mount Teide on a tour arranged with the hotel, this is a must we were picked up at the hotel at 8am and got back at 4pm. The whole trip was amazing with an excellent tour guide. We went up on a cable car and the views were just incredible literally taking our breath away!!! We also visited Loro Parc which again is a must, we walked from the hotel which took about 15 mins. If you re at the back of the hotel the view is better, even though you overlook the hotel opposite which can get a bit noisy but this does not detract from the general ambience of this hotel. The hotel could do with a little updating but still a little gem of a hotel. a few suggestions ..... Have an extra coffee machine in the dining room at the opposite end as it get congested when it is busy. WIFI in the rooms , it can get busy in reception where the WIFI is especially with children. bar staff are brilliant but always busy having to other jobs so sometimes hard to get served . one lot of tea and coffee making sachets in the room for your arrival. (we arrived late and could nt have drink until the next morning) Thank you very much for our lovely stay.
For the price we paid for 4 nights we found this hotel a good value for money. Rooms are clean, comfy beds, air con does its job, hotel staff always smiled and helpful. We went half board and the food was good quality. Canarian night was the best (we love to try local food). My only criticism is not great desert selection and not tasty juice for breakfast. Location is fantastic:with a walking distance to Loro Park, Martianez and playa Jardin. We had a really nice stay in Noelia playa!
The positives first. Very clean, well presented with friendly helpful staff. Arrived late on a Sunday evening and there were platters of cold meats and salad in our room fridge for us. Breakfast next morning was quite good and evening meal of pork chops was also good. However the next night was also pork and the next and the next! In fact out of fourteen nights stay twelve of them had pork for the evening meal and two of them raw (well ok undercooked) chicken. In fact the food became so bad so repetitive that despite being half board we ended up eating out every night. The swimming pool is nice (if a little freezing!) With plenty of sunbeds around it. The pool though could be made so much better. A bar would be a welcome addition, as would some music (currently supplied courtesy of the next door hotel!). Also the pool does not cater well to small children as it is quite deep and has no shallow end. It would be so easy and inexpensive for the hotel to raise the bottom of the pool at one end to make it shallow. Food and drink is not allowed out of the restaurant but the manager was very accommodating when I asked to celebrate a wedding anniversary with breakfast in my room and tasked the waiters with helping me carry trays of food to our sixth floor balcony. We were disappointed with the surrounding area. The beaches were rough and stoney. My daughter had a harsh scratch on her leg from rocks and stones being lashed around by the violent waves. The weather is disappointing as well as the sun will not appear for several days at a time due to a constant mist.
Stayed with family for 7 nights. Lovely friendly staff always willing to help. Clean rooms with a handy kitchenette including small cooker. 10 min walk to rocky beach or 15-20min walk to sandy beach. Convenient supermarket and local eateries nearby. If you walk 20 mins to the centre a lot more shops. Rooftop pool was clean with a lifeguard on duty. We used it a lot in the mornings before heading to the beach and found it usually empty. It's a shame they don't play any music or have a small cafe (even though they have space to do so). If they had snacks and drinks we would have spent a lot longer in the pool area. Had two complaints which let the place down and why it didn't get 4 stars. One was the food. We were half board and whilst I had no complaints with breakfast, the dinner was tasteless and boring. The chef really lets this place down. On a few occasions we chose to eat out rather than at the hotel. Lots of what appears to be fresh ingredients (pork and fish every day) but no flavour whatsoever. Rice available but served in a pool of water!?! Children survived on the chips and nuggets that was usually on offer. Other issue was air con. This is advertised but really not very good. When we arrived it was broken but when fixed it was very low in the rooms. Hardly any air con in the communal areas and in the restaurant they appear to deliberately keep it warm. They'd put it on if asked but on a couple of occasions would get switched off whilst we were still eating. That's just plain stingy!! Free wifi in the lobby was helpful. The bar had the usual variety of drinks and was very reasonable. Spanish live music every evening just wasn't to our taste. The hotel bar/disco next door was a better attraction so we spent our evenings there or in the town. Hotel arranged the trip to Siam park. Coach for €13.50. Just one Euro more than public transport which was great. Overall a nice experience.
We found the hotel clean and well equipped and staff very helpful. The location is good for all the facilities and the pool area felt safe a well supervised. I do have some minor suggestions for improvement; the bar area was lovely but the entertainment poor therefore meaning we only spent one night in the bar out of two week holiday! A more varied offer would keep holiday makers at the hotel. The food was okay but there needed to be a more varied dessert selection. Also the toaster and coffee machines are placed at the entrance to the restaurant which causes congestion. The voucher scheme for drinks in the restaurant was good value and saved awkward money exchanges at the table. Meal timings are very long and therefore offer guests plenty of flexibility! Considering the evening meal starts at 7pm though the pool needs to be open later than 6pm. We felt this shut far too early. All staff are helpful, polite and make you feel Welcome .
The hotel was very nice, and well kept, free wifi downstairs, rooms were cleaned everyday, and staff were tremendous! Food was as good as it gets with only one chef at the restaurant working pancakes, bacon, eggs, and others for breakfast and more at dinner time and they ran out of crockery, (cups, bowls...) often but overall I really enjoyed my stay, there could have been more entertainment as we were doing the same thing all week and (as a vegetarian) there could have been more food options for me to understand as there were not I was eating the same thing all week, but none the less I definitely recommend!!
