The Peaks Resort and Spa

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The pros are the location, grounds and views are fantastic. The amenities are nice and most of the staff was very helpful and friendly. Cons... loud! Thin walls and car/truck noise was very annoying! Parking fee ($24 a day) is ridiculous and should be included in the daily resort fee. It's expensive enough and should be included.

Hotel had nice amenities. Prices for everything are a bit high but you expect that in a mt town. Such beautiful scenery and great walking hiking trails.

The hotel has beautiful views and very nice facilities- it was recently renovated and the renovations are great!

Great hotel common areas and spa. Pool is great. Hotel is fairly convenient to the common areas in mountain village. None of the hotel rooms have air conditioning. Windows are adequate to keep the room cool with fans. Make sure to notify the staff to open the windows in your room before you arrive.

The peaks hotel looked very nice at face value, but once we were in our room it became a big overpriced disappointment. It was a very hot day and they have no air conditioning only fans, it made sleeping very difficult. I sleep with a CPAP machine and they only had one working electrical outlet, so we had to unplug lights just so we could use my CPAP and a portable fan we found in the closet. The bed was so uncomfortable I ended up sleep on the small couch. I guess I just expected more from a $200 hotel visit.

The room was very nice. The staff were very friendly. They allowed us to check in 2 hours before the check-in time. I didn't like that breakfast and parking were not included in the nightly rate. The restaurant was a little slow and the food was ok, not great. The room didn't have cable TV. I liked the pools and the sauna. Very clean and nice. The game room was also fun.

beautiful hotel and excellent location. Only complaint is that fitness area is only open when spa is open and closes at 8:30.

Super close to restaurants and shops, beautiful views

Best for ski in ski out. The room was supposed to have a king bed and table, and didn't have either. I had to complain twice about the dogs down the hall. It sounded like a kennel on our hallway. The staff was very friendly. My family liked it because of the ski valets. They took care of everything for them.

The view from out room was amazing, but that was about the only thing to write home about. I would describe the condition of the room as 'worn'. The grout of the tile in the shower was stained and the walls had taken a beating. One of the towel bars in the bathroom had been ripped off the wall and the repair job was lacking. In addition there was some sort of clearing of dirt taking place for future construction I assume and the continued beeping of them backing up was annoying. Closing the sliding glass door to the balcony was not an option because there is no A/C. I mainly booked the room at this hotel because it had an indoor/outdoor pool, but I was extremely disappointed to find out the first night that we arrived that the pool closed at 8pm each night. They had no problem letting the music of a wedding go past 10pm, but the noise from the pool after 8 is unacceptable. Pfft...

It was a quick last minute stay that was just perfect.

Great hotel with great location. Walls can be a little thin though with the hallways.

We were there for a wedding and the hotel was perfect for the occasion in terms of location and service. The value would have been higher if the hotel disclosed additional fees before booking such as parking. All in all it was a good experience.

It was nice but I did't expect it to have everything closed. I called before we booked and was told everythig would still be open. We had to go to the grocery store to get something to eat or drive the 6 miles to town. The gondolla wasn't working and everthing was closed there except for pizza, which tasted like shoe leather. I'm sure nicer in ski season. But we were told everything would still be open. The pool and spa were pretty much cold. I guess they didn't want to pay to heat when they weren't full. The price wasn't even worth it since nothing was open. Yes,they do charge everyone $18.00 extra for parking on top of they $25.00 fee to use spa. It would have been nice to know about the parking fee. It also would have really nice to not be charged the $25.00 fee Since everthing was closed!

Free Gondola ride is great. Did not like having to use bellstaff for ice. Could have use a couple of vending machines. Room is nice but you can hear guests in the rooms through connecting door and in hall way. Staff courteous and professional. Did not like having to use valet parking service, although this does seem to be normal for Telluride.

The hotel was nice and conveniently located. The service was very good and the staff was friendly and attentive. The spa and fitness center are great. The rooms, while a good size - have thin walls. This presents a problem when the people next door are talking and laughing until 3 in the morning. Upon checking out - you will be informed of a delightful resort fee that they didn't inform you of when checking in. I normally don't mind paying for these if I know about them in advance - pretty cheezy behavior and totally not necessary.

Amazing views from our room, great for taking the changing leaves. Everything in the room was clean and comfortable. Staff was attentive and amenities were available, even in the "off season." Can't wait to go back!

Nice, organized staff. Incredible views everywhere.

The resort is located very close from the Gondola (free that you can take to go to Telluride), downtown mountain village and on one of the most beautiful golf course I have ever seen and enjoyed. The pools are great with the small one just for the kid. Overall this place was a fantastic value for money and located in one of the nicest area we have ever seen in the mountain.

Check in was the breeze, the hotel is beautiful with amazing views! A great place to experience a telluride summer/spring and probably amazing in winter too!
