The hotel is in a good position but there is a rubbish dump just outside it (it should not be ideal in summer month), Our room was very small and with a column on one side of the queen bed (so one of us cannot use the side). The shower box leaked in the bathroom. The furnishing probably dates from the 1950s, and the hotel is carpeted everywhere - a bit surprising in Tel Aviv hot weather. The staff was very kind and helpful, and offered a change of room.

The Sun City's building is far from new and the photos flatter the hotel's charms but it is relatively cheap in a city where lower budget bargains are few and far between. Most of the rooms are small with cramped bathrooms but there are some better ones in the hotel. Provision is basic: no hair dryers or tea/coffee/kettle in the rooms and a poor, limited and unreliable TV provision but the towels are changed every day and the cleaning is efficient and correct, not to mention the small fridge in every room. One plus factor worth mentioning is the excellent Wi-fi connection at Sun City. One warning: the noise from a nearby club can prove a very real disturbance well into the early hours, particularly in some rooms and particularly at the Israeli weekend. Very much in Sun City's favour is the staff. They are great, very helpful and full of good ideas. Another big plus is location, handy for buses, near the beach and plenty of bars, restaurants and market nearby. If you are a city walker nowhere is that far away. I also appreciated the free coffee and kitchen downstairs next to reception. If you are coming to Tel Aviv for a night or a few days and your hotel budget is limited the Sun City may be the hotel for you.

We stayed one night on a world tour for our honeymoon. Photos are much better than actual hotel. It was passable and relatively clean but the rooms don’t look *as* decent as the photos. Furniture was old and room was small. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Asked especially for a quiet room. There was a bit of street noise (nothing major),but absolutely no noise from bars/discos etc. Room was small but very clean, housekeeping cleaned and changed towels daily. Very good location and very helpful staff.

I came to Tel Aviv for 2 weeks on vacation. I was planing to stay in one place and from there to travel all over the Israel. Now, I think it was a mistake. It would be chipper to stay in different places that I wanted to see for 2-3 days and move further. But for now I'm in the sun city hotel in Tel Aviv. Location is very good close to the beaches and to the center of Tel Aviv, close to restaurants and markets. I was walking everywhere and didn't use any transportation. Personal of this hotel is very nice, friendly and helpful. But itself hotel is old, bathroom is very tiny, bed is not very comfortable and room is noisy. I think it's too expensive. But not many hours I spent in the room and thanks to personal I was recommended very good places to eat and were cheaper.

Centrally located in Tel Aviv at a decent rate. However, there is a nightclub next door that blasts LOUD music Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Unless you bring ear plugs, you will not get any sleep at this hotel.

We pre-booked this hotel for 3 nights when going on our Israel-vacation. The location of the hotel is ok, but the rest of the experience was not good. The male receptionist who met us was unfriendly and not service-minded. Could not get any sleep as the disco next door might as well be inside our room. Regretted our pre-booking.

Everything was very nice and clean. The male receptionist was very helpful in showing me on map where the place I needed to go to was. :) The location superb, a few minutes walk to all the important places. The room was a bit small and noisy, but I didn't really mind. The only bad thing was the room temperature. I had to wake up a couple of times to turn on/off the a/c. It would change temperature by itself. Really weird.

The room is spartan, with very little in the way of amenities. The shower is old. The heating didnt work very well. Most disappointing was that we had what was once an adjoining room where the door had been sealed off. One afternoon we could hear a couple next door having sex. That night, it was another couple that went on ALL night (twice!) until we called and asked them to be quiet. It didn't help much. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep either. The location was okay, but I'd never set foot in this place again.

My friend and I stayed 1 night at the Suncity hotel. We're both students so we we're looking for a clean room in a good location! The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms we're clean, reception was helpful and we even had a small balcony looking over allenby street. Recommended for budget travelers and students!
