The ocean views are amazing, especially from the lobby where a piano is played as the sun sets. They offer you free champagne when you check in and at the amazing breakfast buffet. The staff we met were super friendly and professional. The bar and wait staff were enjoyable, professional and funny. Sandra at the check in desk was helpful, professional and friendly!
We were at the hotel over the weekend for 2 nights. The entire staff was very helpful, friendly and nice to us. When we had a little technical issue in the room, the administration went above and beyond to resolve it and to compensate us. I warmly recommend!!!
All I can say is waw What a beauty if you have never been in herods tel aviv hotel you have not visited israel yet I mean from the entrance to the rooms dining hall the swimming pool the people around you the staff they are so awesome the inviroment oh my God the view from the hotel to the sea Iam so happy I made a choice of visiting the hotel and iam planning another trip to Israel and herods here I come again I loved staying there it was real good
It is a bad hotel, Start from our arrivel, the reception spoke to me not as a guest of the hotal but more like "lets get over with this I dont have time for you" The hotel is not clean, while we walked to our room there was dirt and trash all over the place including our room's entrance and an empty bottle left at the corridor and 24 hours later it was still there. The toilet in our room was flooded and not working, forcing us to call and wait for the maintanence guy. the hotel mention in the web sites that rooms are facing to the sea but in our case our room was facing to the taxis station and a strip club .... The swimming pool is small and heavily crouded at this time of the year. the only advantge of this hotel is the proximity to the beach, not worth the fares rates especially when other options are availble.
We came back to spend a weekend. Food excellent as usual (book a club room with access to the lounge). Service in the dining room is outstanding, however room service is lousy ( housekeeping cleaned our room in the late afternoon). Rooms are not too small and not too spacoius, and sometimes not too clean.....Parking facilities limited, use the nearby parking lot (sometimes a true nightmare) Nevertheless: compared to other hotels in the area good value for your money
Whilst in Tel-Aviv on business, I wanted a hotel with easy access to the City. The Herods Hotel was recommended as it is about 30 minutes by taxi from the airport and is situated on the coastline surrounded by a number of other chain hotels. The cost for 4 nights was priced in my receipt as 1000 US$ with one Evening meal at 50 US$ included in that price together with breakfast. On entering the hotel, there are four lifts located behind you from the Reception area, which helps when heading for your room with luggage. As my room was booked on an Executive rate, I checked-in on the 17th Floor Executive Lounge. The process was efficient with clear information on the opening times of the Lounge, the Hotel Restaurant, the facilities and the Wi-Fi code. My room was situated on the 14th floor with a great view of the shoreline. The hotel is basic without feeling too much like a chain hotel. The room has air-conditioning a large LCD TV and fridge with coffee making facilities. There were two bathrobes, an ironing board and iron as well as a safe in the wardrobe. My bathroom had a bath with two shower attachments and a wash basin together with a dual-flush toilet. The shower was partly-enclosed screen design, so it stops the excess water leaving the shower pan but some water does escape, so use the shower towel provided. There is a large mirror and separate shaving / make-up mirror. The toiletries are OK and I used the shampoo and Shower Gel, which had an acceptance perfume. The free Wi-Fi was a little flaky as it slowed appreciably during the evening and the best speedtest.net reading was 3.4MB download, 1.2MB upload and 17ms ping. At a good time, it was fast enough for me to use my Amazon Prime account and watch a clear picture with no stuttering but other times even simple web-browsing was very difficult / impossible. The Executive Lounge on the 17th Floor is good with a wide selection of food and alcoholic (beer and wine) and soft drinks. The Lounge plays light music during the day, which is distracting for conversation or working. There was a TV with CNN on mute for anyone who wanted to catch-up on the news. I had both, an evening meal and several breakfasts and found the restaurant on the R Floor to have a wide selection of foods in buffet style, such as cereals, bread, cakes and pastries, pizza, local specialities, salad, cheese etc. I am sure that you will find something that you will enjoy from this wide selection. The breakfast was included in my room rate and the Evening Meal was 50 US$. In other areas of the hotel, some of the furniture in the Lounge and Reception (Lobby) areas could do with replacement as they represent 1970's style furniture and are worn / dirty. Overall, I recommend the Herods Hotel as it is a good mid-budget hotel by Israeli standards. It is situated directly on the coastline and within comfortable walking distance of Tel-Aviv.Its facilities especially the Executive Lounge and Restaurant are of a high standard for the category of hotel. Some of the other hotel areas could do with improvement especially the furniture in the Reception / Lobby and Executive Lounge.
The food at this hotel was AMAZING! I was in food heaven. The buffet is a great way to sample a lot of different kinds of Israeli food. Breakfast had a whole honeycomb....so cool! Location was great too. Rooms were nice. This was the first place we stayed in Israel and were only there one night, but I'd stay again.
Stayed in a renovated room on the 6th floor. Location is central, a beach close by and the Tel Aviv promenade. Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great, Dinner was a bit below expectations yet many can find it satisfying and better. Service is great, rooms kept in order and clean each day.
Prime location, very good food, specially for shabat meals, and nice service. Front desk´s Sandra helped me a lot with everything i needed. i strongly recommend to stay there if you are going to tel-aviv
There's no reason for the chairs and floors in the lobby to be so dirty. It looks like the hotel hasn't been touched since the 70s. It's so sad. This is just a horrible place. The pool is small, cramped and dirty. This place needs a massive refurbishment or just to be closed down.
