Herods Hotel Tel Aviv by the Beach0.0 out of 5.0

Herods operate like the "all inclusive" compounds in Antalya or Rhodos catering for herds of tourists. No class or atmosphere. However great location. right on the Marina, friendly and helpful staff, Rrich buffet - morning and dinner. (Don't expect restaurant service at dinner...) Weekend crowded and waiting lines at the dining room. The place suffers from a poorly done renovation in the past, Bottom line - adjust expectations and the place is quite enjoyable.
We stayed in Herods for a weekend for a medical meeting and for pleasure. The hotel is located on Hyarkon St.-Tel aviv's 5* hotels st. near the sea.The hotel changed ownership and is runned now by the Fattal hotel chain.Herods suppose to be their best.We suppose to get the room at 1:00 PM on Friday but the room was not ready.when we came back from lunch we recieved the room and we were dissappointed:The room was small not modern and with old equipment on the Bathroom. We didn't have Dinner but Breakfast was rich in Choice but with very mediocre culinar quality. We paid about 425$ for our weekend "vacation".There are many 5* hotels in the neighbourhood and a great competition. We will not return to Herods.
The location is good and is located right at the beach. But the hotel it self is very torn and outdated. the staff is nice and helpful though. the gym is alright, The Dinner and breakfast was good with decent prices.
From the moment we arrived we were treated to the most outstanding customer service I have experienced in Israel true service and the first hotel in Israel you get what you pay for. . The front desk welcome exceptional. The hotel is located on the beachfront in Tel Aviv and close to the city. Beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea with magical sunsets. The first impression as you walk in the door is great with views of the sea. The staff amazing, the restaurant buffet dinner & Breakfast superb, the dining room staff simply outstanding. I think this hotel is close to perfect as far as service is concerned. Clean, outstanding service, perfect location, I could rave forever about this hotel. The only hotel in Israel I have been able to say the price matched the service. Simply the best.
We just returned from a wonderful stay at Herods. We stayed with a group who all loved the hotel and then extended our stay afterwards. The hotel has a beautiful new lobby area that is highlighted by floor to ceiling windows with views of the Mediterranean. Just spectacular! The rooms are spacious and the beds super comfortable for an excellent night's sleep. The service in the rooms and in the dining room was outstanding. Servers constantly come to you at breakfast and ask if you need coffee or different kinds of fresh juice. The food is really outstanding--the display, the variety, the freshness, the taste! Roslan the dining room manager keeps everything tip top. Raz who managers in the evening is also very caring of his dinner guests. Danit, the guest relations manager, is always there to assist guests with questions. Denis, bellboy manager, was also always eager to help. Yafit, front desk manager, with the help of Sandra made a great team. We enjoyed the updated lounge on the 17th floor. Worth the extra upgrade to have this convenience. Alex and Emanuel keep everything in order there and are always cleaning and arranging. They also make great sangria! The lounge chef creates delicious dishes daily. You can tell that there is great leadership from the top at this hotel because the general Manager Koby is always visible and accessible. We can't wait to come back to our home away from home at this fabulous property.
I decided to celebrate my birthday in Israel and reviewed many hotels. I decided to choose Herods . At check-in they offered me and my friend champagne and upgraded our room to a upper level suite ! Long story short it was a Great stay , the staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodated all my needs . Great location for shops and a 2 min walk to the beach , the view was beautiful , the complimentary breakfast was great ! . They helped me with booking all my tours and how to get around the city . We even traveled to Eilat and they were very helpful in helping me book my bus trip back and forth. And last i wanted my room decorated with balloons for my birthday and they told me where i can get my balloons and the staff set up my room for me so beautifully . I would like to give a special thanks to Mikela , Denis, Moshe, Kobi ,Dar and Arnoyld !!! Thanks for the wonderful experience !
The average standard of hotels in Tel Aviv is a big drama. Overrated and far outdated. In Herods one gets for what he paid for. Rooms are good, breakfast is excellent and staff very professional. We stayed in executive room and upgraded for usage of the business lounge. Spectacular view on 17th floor and all facilities are present. We had quite a few meetings in the business lounge and our guests have been treated with the highest courtesy. Thank you Herods for being a vital factor for that. For business absolutely a perfect place to stay.
We stayed here as a part of a tour group visiting Israel. This was the best hotel of the ones we stayed it. It is just steps from the Mediterranean Sea and has nice views from the lobby and rooms. The dinner and breakfast was also very tasty and fresh. The rooms are not lavish and totally updated but are very comfortable. The bathroom was nice as well. Overall it had everything we needed for our one night stay.
We return over and over as the hotel improves year on year both in design and quality of service. The Hotel feels fresh and kept up to date from the moment you step in. The location and facilities are second to none as well as the staff's efforts into making your stay pleasurable. We were treated as VIP's with instant access to all executive facilities, all with a smile.
Just like its sister hotel Leonardo Plaza in Jerusalem the hotel is run down and dirty. The shower is full of mold. The tile floor grout is black and disgusting. The hall and stairway carpets are dirty and worn. The hotel is in need of a total renovation. There is no way it should be rated anything higher than a 1 star hotel.
