Great location, good room

We stayed here for one night when visiting Milford Sound. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room itself was a bit dated, which is fine. Overall, our stay here was good. It’s beautifully located on a corner on the lake front, a short walk from the Main Street.

Convenient location for our day trip to Milford Sound, located within walking distance to the town centre. Parking available on-site, right outside your doorstep. Room was spacious and equipped with decent heating. The property itself is a little tired looking and could use some sheer curtains across the main windows to allow some light in while maintaining a level of privacy.

Rooms were large with plenty of room to stretch out. Staff were friendly and made recommendations for dining in the area. Tables outside each room is great for arvo drink looking towards lake. Facilities in rooms were very comfortable

Lakefront Lodge was the perfect place to stay for our stopover before heading to Milford Sound. The room was well equipped and clean. Loved the picnic tables provided by each room as well…perfect for morning tea or evening takeaway! The location was great as well with easy access to the lakefront walking/biking path and town. Would stay here again when stopping over in Te Anau!

Family of 4 with 2 small children. We enjoyed the large jet tub and separate bedroom/door so that we could sleep in two different areas. Only complaint is the room is hot in the summer months (you have to leave windows open and get bugs, or use two very small fans to cool the rooms). Otherwise, it's within easy walking distance to the center of town/food and just feet away from the lake. Would definitely stay again.
