Tbilisi Marriott Hotel5.0 out of 5.0

Centrally located hotel with friendly staff and good accommodation. I'd gone there for a conference and I went to Georgia with many preconceptions about a former Soviet republic. Although Georgia is a developing nation with much need investment a real plus point was staying at the Marriott. It's well located and with very friendly staff who were both professional and attentive. That is what stood out the most about my trip to Georgia.
Marriotts are so uniformly reliable that I rarely bother to review them, but the JW Marriott Tbilisi was exceptional. Not just the classic old building, part of Tbilisi's history, or the customary comfortable well equipped rooms, but what made our visit so special was the above standard hospitality and professionalism of the staff. They went out of their way to be helpful, and the third floor lounge was especially good - a full range of food and drinks available all day, first time I've seen that in a Marriott. They even forwarded on to another hotel a small gift I had left in the room for the maid, assuming it was something I had forgotten. I was more than happy to go back to the Marriott to return it, so satisfied had we been with our stay there. Ideal, central location, highly recommended, would definitely return.
A beautiful hotel , even luxurious. Very friendly Staff and Concierge who put himself forward to any help . The room is perfect and location marvelous ( Rustavalli , the most important) . You may use the very location of the Hotel to get to know the city . Wifi very good , but free for only 30 minutes afterword you have a price table .See photos
It's a central located 5 star hotel on the main boulevard of the Georgian capital, within a walking distance to most of the attractions of that beautiful city. Staff is friendly, rooms well equipped, good value for money!!
I just spent six days there and I was very happy with the location and service. The hotel is very clean. Breakfast extremely good. if i travel to tibilisi certainly come back to this hotel. Thank you!!
When we entered the room we were shocked by how small the room was which was also facing a small enclosed courtyard overlooking other rooms with no privacy. There was only one window and we would not open the curtain for privacy reason. This was certainly not a 5 stars Marriott room. When we ordered room service at the evening, we struggled to fit the room service trolley in the room and I had to sit in a contorted position to have my meal! Half of the staff was nice but a couple of staff seemed to provide a Soviet Union style service. The location was central and the breakfast was OK. Certainly not a 5 star experience, more like 3.5 stars.
I went to Tbilisi on a trip that was half for business, half for leisure and had a very good stay. The front desk staff (in particular Mariam from reception and Mischa and Guram from conciergerie) have been amazing and really makes you feel welcome. They have been very helpful in arranging trips in the short time I had available (3 days) for visiting the country and in providing practical information about Tbilisi. The building is beautiful, beds comfortable and rooms quite. Very nice breakfast buffet. Perfect for a business trip. For leisure only I might also consider to stay in the old town - but it can be reached from the Marriot in 15-20 minutes walk, which is ok. My only suggestion would be to limit noise (music, phone calls) in the business center.
I just spent five days there and I was very happy with the location and service. Lifts are terrible, dont go without keys, and the problem is there are no stairs so you have to take a lift. Otherwise, the most helpful and pleasant staff I have ever had in any hotels.
have stayed in this location several times through our travels in beautiful Tbilisi . It is refreshing to see the level of service has maintained in high levels since our priest trip in 2015. we won't stay anywhere else!
This is a superb hotel for regular business visitors to Georgia. 24/7 welcome and full service. Superb staff. It's always clean. Great lounge. My room had a noisy a/c and this was fixed immediately I mentioned the issue.
