One is supposed to be impressed by the rather over-the-top entry and reception area which probably is used to receive dignatries visiting the government and parliament buildings nearby. Our room was large, rather over furnished but comfortable and quiet. The breakfast room was large, and the buffet offering one of the we have had in the Caucasus. We had an enjoyable light evening meal in the adjacent cafe restaurant also. Being on Rustaveli Ave, the museum and parliamentary precinct are close by, and the old town ten minutes walk away.
Well, we had booked the Courtyard by Marriott but we’re loved to Marriott Tbilisi as Courtyard was overbooked. We booked the Courtyard for its fantastic location and hence were disappointed to start with. But one look at the room and the location of the Marriott Tbilisi and we were extremely happy with the move. It’s on the Rustaveli Avenue (which is where you want to be in Tbilisi). Great location right in the middle of the Freedom Square and Rose Revolution Square. Every place of interest in Tbilisi is with a 2 km radius walking distance. The staff are a delight. Very cordial and welcoming. The rooms are fantastic and the service is absolutely prompt. Highly recommend the hotel. Thank you for making our trip memorable.
The Marriott in Tbilisi is a very good hotel in a great location. It is on Freedom (also known as Liberty) Square on the edge of the old town. The rooms are what you expect from a Marriott and the staff here is extremely friendly, polite and knowledgeable.
We were here for a wedding weekend, many couples stayed here and not one complaint, least of all from me. I very much liked the location, it is about a kilometer either to Rike Park (for the Peace Bridge, and the cable cars to Narikala Fortress) and a stone’s throwaway to Liberty Square and the big Mall. Rustavali Ave, the main road to everything really, you cannot cross, you’ll need to find a tunnel to the otherside. This is located infront of the small church 200metres away. I walked to Liberty Square looking for a tunnel.... when i had one right under my nose. Reception are on the ball and always available. We used them a lot, organising private cars etc for the wedding. Excellent room service menu and good quality dishes. Breakfast was superb. Room was spacious and a lovely bathroom.... if i were to nitpick it would be to ditch the shower curtain for a glass one. That’s the only thing I didn’t like. I needed a car to sightsee out of the city and they organised it quick without fuss. Loved this hotel and adored Tbilisi!
Nice historic building. Staff were attentive. Room was a bit small. Buffet breakfast was really good. Ii you are sharing your room - be aware that the water temperature of the shower isn't constant. At least it wasn't in my room. If you are having a shower and the other person turns on the tap or flushes the toilet - be prepared for cold water to come through the shower druring the duration the alternative source of water is being used! It was ok during the summer but I won't be a happy with the cold blast of water during winter. The hotel is within walking distance of quite a number of tourist attractions. Very nice of the hotel to leave a complimentary cake in my room on the eve of my birthday even though I was checking out on my birthday.
The location is excellent Check in was fast efficient & well done, was upgraded to a suite With access to the executive lounge. Yana from house keeping is highly recommended The executive lounge has great staff, always accommodating One just need to ask for his needs & they are met They need a person to be present during the off hours No breakfast or happy hour. The canopies offered with the wine after 5:30 could use improvement The GM cocktail party was most desirable, very generous Offering of food and drinks, & it can go on for as long as the guests are interested. The staff is very helpful, proud of their city, their food And specially the local wine Overall, it is a repeat for many reasons the city history The safety security the reasonable prices The one thing I worn guests about are the casinos Super bad quality in every sense Glad the Marriott has no casino
I arrived at 6am after a very long day of travel and the smiling staff at the front desk welcomed me with open arms. The stay at the Tbilisi Marriott only went uphill from there. It is a beautifully restored historic property, significant in many ways, one of which is that John Steinbeck stayed there. My room was huge, spotless, well designed and had one of the best showers ever. I also had access to the executive lounge, which serves a delicious breakfast everyday. I missed their dinners, though. Again, the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The location could not be more perfect, right in the center between Freedom Square/Old Town in one direction and all of the cool bars and shopping in the other. And the best bar in the city is right around the corner. I ate at the restaurant three times, all great food with a varied menu. And the hotel gym was actually extensive enough to do a decent workout, plus it had a private men’s spa. This is one of the best Marriott properties, one they can be very proud of. Again, I cannot day enough positive things about every staff member I encountered.
The hotel is at the center. Situated in the heart of the city - near public bus stops and walking distance around the Old Tbilisi. From the airport, look for bus 37 and pay 50 cents lira. After crossing the river, count 2 stops then from Freedom Square stop walk to the hotel. You can book a lot of attractions and tours from this area. You will definitely enjoy the hotel at night. Very good service and hospitality.
First time visiting Tbilisi. I stayed at this hotel. It’s very nice. The location is also excellent, on a main street and walking distance to several museums. The courtyard inside the hotel is also great for morning or afternoon coffee. The Executive lounge staff are superb.
Stylish, a bit old-fashioned (as we love). Beautiful lobby and very helpful staff. We stayed at Exec Lounge, room is very large. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is large with nice amenities (but no separate lavatory). Internet works very well. Room is clean and decoration is old-style but males you feel cosy. Had bkfst and dinner at Lounge, which is rather small but connvenient, food very much OK for lounge. Staff very nice. Unfortunately no swimming pool at this hotel.
