The were very helpful and friendly, room was clean, plus it was pet friendly. Made it easy to take our fur baby, sh3 is very timid and doesn’t stay well with others.

This hotel is in a beautiful spot. Across the street from Lake Huron, and with woods behind us, we had deer out our window in the evening. Our room was clean and spacious, and they’re pet friendly. The staff is friendly, and a nice breakfast is served. There’s nice parks on the lakeshore, and plenty of shopping in town. We definitely would love to come back.

The lady working when we checked in late at night was friendly and helpful. The men who work behind the desk seemed very much less so. While the staff is overall invisible it's not so in a bad way. They just didn't pester us, which was nice, because we were in town for a funeral and it was a tough weekend. However, there were some issues. Up late at night after the funeral, we were outside at the picnic tables when they turned on the sprinklers, pointed directly at us, and this ruined my husband's phone. This brought three stars down to two. Had they wanted us to go in, they just could have asked. They have every inch of the place on video- it's not like they don't know this is an issue. We're just an older couple struggling with a loss. It wasn't like we were whooping it up. There is a collection aged, broken down equipment stacked in the hallways and steps, which is really kind of itchy. I mean, a LOT of it. Nearly every corner of the building has something broken down sitting in a corner. There are literally no safeguards at the second floor windows (don't put your children on that floor). This was a pet room - don't put your pets there, either. Beds are okay, bring your own pillows. Seriously. Woke to find stains of an unmentionable nature on the walls in the reflection of the sunlight. That grossed me out for the rest of the stay. Wear shoes. For all of this, they are way overpriced on weekend, off season rates. Not even a view. Just a nope. Never again.

The facility and staff more than satisfactorily met my expectations. However as a handicapped person I experience things that pass by the average customer. Due to the floor of the bathtub not having the proper grip, I was forced to grab the curtain rod and improve my balance by gripping the top of the tiles that rim the shower stall.

Hotel rooms/accomodations are enough for a 1 or 2 night stay tops. Beds & pillows were comfy and it was clean. I found it very disappointing that the hotel doesn't provide or offer conditioner. They have shampoo and body wash. Small complaint but for some, it's a deal. The pool & hot tub area is great, in fact the highlight of our stay! The breakfast was decent, meat & eggs, breads, yogurt and fruit, waffles, juice. My only complaint on this stay was the front desk staff. It was always the gentleman...he wasn't that rude, but would not go out of his way not for one minute to address the concern and question I had and I called on two separate occasions. The lady at the front desk though was fantastic, she works well under pressure! The fitness room was a huge disappointment, it's not a room. It's a closet and that is not an exaggeration. At least it's something though.

Typically there is at least one thing I can write about a property that could improve upon or that wasn't as good as I would have hoped. This place though checked all the good boxes. It was clean and quiet, check in was simple and friendly (very personable lady working the counter. She gave great recommendations for dining and had a solid sense of humor.) the pool and hot tub was also clean and was a nice treat after a long day. I would definitely stay here in the future.
