Delightful villa in the Eastern Algarve set in it's own garden, with private salt water pool (no chlorine in the water), just a few minutes' walk from the beach and the village of Cabanas. Six splendid golf courses are also just a few kilometres away .

In the village of Cabanas you can find excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets and all you might need.

The villa is fully equipped and very comfortable. The ground floor comprises a large living-dining room which leads via two large patio doors to two large terraces one of which overlooks the private swimming pool set in a lawn garden with a BBQ. The terraces have sofas and dining furniture, perfect for al fresco dining on the warm Algarve evenings. Also on the ground floor there are two large twin bedrooms, one bathroom and a completely equipped kitchen.

Upstairs there is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a terrace/solarium overlooking the garden and pool.

The Eastern Algarve is considered to be the most picturesque part in the Algarve. The Ria Formosa Natural Park is host to a large migratory bird population and is just a few minutes walk from the villa. The Portuguese town of Tavira only about ten minutes by car is known as the most beautiful town in the Algarve and recommended for its historical past, Castle, Roman architecture and 37 churches. Throughout the year there are music events and festivals and many more activities across the whole Summer. Tavira also has a fabulous daily market where you can buy fish straight off the boats and meat, fruit and vegetables from the local farmers.

Tavira's coast is integrated in the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, a protected area which is characterized by having a high biological productivity and diversity of habitats. Tavira has a coastline measuring over 18 km long, comprising the islands of Tavira and Cabanas, which are part of the Ria Formosa barrier islands' system. Cabanas' island is the smallest of the islands within the Ria Formosa Natural Park. It is 70 meters wide and 7 km long (variable figures). This golden beach, full of shells and a warm turquoise sea is located in front of Cabanas' village, land of fishermen. Cabanas beach has been distinguished with the Blue Flag Award since 1989 and it has equipment and infrastructure services available to visitors. To get there you take a fishermen's boat across the Ria Formosa for a few minutes. There are other magnificent beaches nearby, all easily accessible by car.

Cabanas is 30 minutes drive from Faro airport and only 30 minutes drive to the Spanish border. So, if you wish you may easily take a day trip to Spain whilst you are there. In Cabanas you will experience a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings in an authentic Portugal!. An ideal place for sun, beach, golf and fish lovers!

Excellent communication from the owner, who made sure we knew where everything was and how to enter the property as we were arriving after 10pm. The Villa was very clean with modern furniture and appliances. The pool was big just for the two of us, but we managed! The pool area and gardens were well kept by the daily gardener and weekly pool attendant. Excellent check in by Margarida, who advised on places to visit and restaurants. There are many bars and good restaurants in Cabanas to choose from. We visited the Racing Pigeon Club, Columbifilio, where we were made welcome by the locals.

Amazing Family holiday

We stayed at Coco Loco for 2 weeks and loved every minute. I asked lots of questions before our stay and Teresa always answered promptly. On the day of check in everything was really straightforward. The villa itself is perfectly equipped for a family with a large living space, plenty of outdoor shade and everything you need in the kitchen if you do decide to eat in (great bbq as well). The pool is fantastic getting sun on it most of the day and our little had a great time playing. The bars, restaurant and boat for the beach are less than 5 minute walk away. Everything you need for a family get away. Thanks Teresa and co :-)

Fabulous villa in a great location

We liked everything about this spacious villa but especially the large pool, well equipped outside area and that it is located in a quiet area a few minutes walk from Cabanas village. The villa and grounds are very clean, well maintained and both the kitchen and lounge areas have everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. For a small area Cabanas has a surprisingly high number of restaurants and bars to try, our favourites were Monteiro, Sabores Asiaticos and Coral although all the others we visited were also good. Murphy's bar is a must for anyone wanting to watch sport on tv. A hire car enabled us to visit some of the surrounding towns including Tavira, VRS Antonio & Castro Marim as well as some of the nearby beaches, all worthwhile experiences. Thanks Margarida and Teresa for helping to provide a well organised, stress free, relaxing holiday.

Lovely relaxing holiday

We had a wonderful peaceful stay at this lovely well equipped villa which is set in large mature gardens. Perfect for our needs and just a 5 minute stroll from Cabanas water front and restaurants, bars and local Spar. Good communication with the owner Teresa and Margarida who meets and greets was lovely. Would definitely recommend staying at this villa and look forward to returning next year.

Lovely villa in the Algarve

We spent 2 weeks at this lovely villa in February. The villa was everything we had hoped for. It was situated in a quiet street within walking distance of the seafront, restaurants and bars in a small town near Tavira. It was a great location from which to explore the eastern end of the Algarve, and gave us easy access to several golf courses. The villa itself was very comfortable with nice areas to relax both inside and out. Communications with both the owner and the local agent were excellent, making our stay free of any undue stress. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa as a great destination for a relaxing holiday.

Wonderful villa

We have just returned from yet another fantastic stay at Coco Loco. The villa is really spacious, well maintained and just a joy to stay in. Both the internal and the large pool and gardens are extremely well maintained. Margarida, who is the contact locally is wonderful. The outside maintenance is early morning and discreet. The villa is only a short walk into Cabanas with restaurants,shops etc. Also, a short water taxi takes you over to the island which has a beautiful beach. Nearby Tavira is well worth a visit. This was our 3rd visit to Coco Loco and will certainly return. Teresa, the owner, is so easy to get in touch with and has always been very helpful. The only disappointment we have is our preferred dates for next year are unavailable!! Thanks again Teresa Gwen & Derek K

Fantastic property, beautiful location

The villa had everything you would hope for and more. All the arrangement were straightforward and the villa was spotless. The accommodation is well furnished and equipped including a brick BBQ which is perfectly located for the outside eating area under the veranda. The pool was was larger than we expected. It was clean and well maintained during our visit. It was illuminated in the evenings. The villa has 6 sun-beds and lots of outside seating (3 different areas). The garden is well kept and a lovely place to relax. The villa is perfectly located for Cabanas centre (5 minutes walk) where you can catch a small motor boat across the estuary to the beach for 1.5 euros return. It tales less than 10 minutes. The beach was busy but not crowded, the sand was golden and the sea clear blue. The town of Tavira is 10 minutes drive away and is beautiful - well worth a visit. I can not recommend this villa and it's owner highly enough!'

Wonderful stay at Villa Coco-Loco

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Cabanas, staying at the ideally situated villa Coco-Loco. Located in a quiet residential area but just a short walk to the water taxi to the beach, supermarket and a range of restaurants, the villa is spotlessly clean and well equipped. The outdoor spaces and pool are beautifully maintained and offer a perfect alternative to a day at the beach. We would highly recommend villa Coco- Loco to both couples and families alike. We have already booked our next holiday there.

Wonderful Villa

We have just returned from 2 great weeks in this beautiful villa. It is extremely spacious and very clean. The pool and gardens are well maintained. My husband and I had previously stayed in Coco Loco and liked our stay so much we invited family this holiday. They were equally impressed. What's not to like!! A short stroll take you into Cabanas with many restaurant and shops. Teresa, the owner, is most helpful and easy to get in touch with. Hopefully, we will return very soon.

All you could wish for (once again)

Another wonderful stay in Coco Loco. Returned to Coco Loco this year having spent two weeks there last year and had another fantastic holiday. The villa, pool and gardens are immaculately clean. The two downstairs bedrooms have been recently modernised and are now as lovely as the upstairs master ensuite which is just lovely. The large pool with accompanying sun loungers are perfect for a family with children. We mostly had lunch and dinner by the pool which was great. The villa however is just five minutes walk to restaurants, shops and bakery's. This is my idea of a dream villa in a truely fantastic location. I have already booked this villa for next year!!!

Beautiful villa

Elegant villa with loads of space. 3 bedrooms with the master suite being separate and upstairs. Very well equipped kitchen, lots of crockery, pans etc. Dishwasher, although we didn't use it. Washing machine as well. Internet service was very good. Photos on website are accurate. It is in a nice neighbourhood and the property is well-cared for. The weather wasn't great at the beginning which meant we had to use the heating which was a bit expensive, but we were glad there was heating. Cabanas is a lovely town a little less touristy especially in winter. Loads of restaurants to choose from and all excellent. The people in town are so friendly & helpful. Villa in easy walking distance of the whole town. Highly recommend this villa and if we were to go again we would have no qualms about renting it again. We had a day at a "Taste of Algarve" a cooking and eating experience just outside Tavira which we thoroughly recommend.

Tolles, perfekt ausgestattetes und sehr sauberes Haus mit großen und schattigen Terrassenflächen. Schöner Garten mit großem Salzwasser-Pool (nur leicht salzig, dafür ohne Chlor), in dem man aufgrund der Größe sogar schwimmen kann. Strand, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Bars sind fußläufig erreichbar. Sehr nette Gastgeberin und Verwalterin vor Ort. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, vielen Dank, Teresa.

Die Lage ist super - der Ort, die Strandpromenade mit vielen Restaurants und das Boot zum Strand sind zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Schöne Villa in ruhiger Lage

Wir waren eine Woche in Coco-Loco. Wir wurden wärmstens empfangen und haben gute Tipps bekommen über Aktivitäten in der Umgebung.
