The room was very small and the bathroom had no storage or shelves for wash kits, so had to put everything on the floor. The staff was friendly, but a complaint over the lack of ventilation in the bathroom was not resolved. At the beach club, a staff member followed us to our room, claiming we had not paid the bill, even though we had paid cash. There was a train track running just behind our room, train noise was annoying. Lovely views and good access to beach.

La Plage has magnificent views of the sea and the iconic Isola Bella. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the staff are friendly and attentive. Be aware that the beach is rocky and hard to walk on and it’s difficult to enter and exit the sea for a swim. It’s easy to get up to Taormina via the funivia (cable car) for a 10€ round trip.

Overall experience is not too Bad, for 3 stars hotel. Noway hotel is close to 5 or 4 stars, The rooms are very small, bathroom is extremely small and very bad technical condition, in need in total refurbishment! Breakfast par to Pension quality, Restaurant, wouldn’t dare to try, but looks very degrading! All furniture old, overused. Staff, being good people, but luck even minimum good hotels or restaurants experience. Front desk really need basic training. Management not visible at all

TOP NOTCH beach resort at Isola Bella

I can’t say enough about this resort. Incredible location and wonderful hospitality with impeccable service from every level of contact. The the private bungalow was clean and had a comfortable bed. Our bungalow has it’s own private patio with jacuzzi that overlooked the sea. Just incredible. Very relaxing and enjoyable to experience the uniqueness of that with the moon over the bay of Isola Bella as our companion. While the day is lively with energy and guests enjoying the beach, the evenings are quiet and peaceful there where you can hear the lapping of sea on the shore. The beach is like a dream. You never tire of admiring the view of Isola Bella. The water is so clear. Bring your water shoes for the stone beach. The beach attendants and servers were so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious from the variety and quality at breakfast to the beach club to the restaurants. We enjoyed lunches and dinners there several times and the fresh fish and high quality was truly impressive. We were there for our anniversary and it could not be more romantic and special place to celebrate. The event space they have to host weddings and parties is so beautiful and we were there to see a few a wedding, a baptism and birthday- each unique and beautiful. Amazing location. We have been to Taormina many times and there are many wonderful places to stay however this beach location, the high level service at every point of contact make the La Plage resort one you should not miss!

From the moment we arrived at La Plage Resort, we were swept away by the beauty, charm, and warmth of this incredible destination. Nestled right by the iconic Isola Bella, (which certainly lives up to its name) the views from the resort are nothing short of spectacular—crystal-clear waters, lush greenery, and sunsets that take your breath away. What truly made our experience unforgettable, though, was the outstanding service provided by the incredible team. Alessia greeted us with the warmest welcome, making us feel instantly at home. Pasquale was the definition of professionalism and friendliness—always ready with a smile and a great local recommendation. Diego’s attention to detail and dedication to making every moment perfect didn’t go unnoticed. And Lorenzo went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth, relaxed, and filled with joy. I must give a shoutout to the housekeeping staff who kept our room immaculate and cleaned twice a day. While the view is nothing short of magic, what makes La Plage the place to be is the people. Just what we were looking for...

Our experience as a couple staying for 8 nights in a room with a hot-tub on our terrace was amazing. We wanted to relax and unwind and La Plage made it happen. The location was ideal on the beautiful beach and just a short walk to the funivia to go up to the town. Our room was very comfortable with views out to the bay and the island. We enjoyed using our reserved beach setting each day. Breakfast was delicious each morning with variety in the pastries and fresh fruit on offer in addition to the hot food. The beach bar was great for cocktails and great music. The restaurant provided wonderful service in a relaxed atmosphere, and the food was fabulous!! They catered for food intolerance with wonderful grace and were proud to create a special sauce that was absolutely delicious!! Special thanks to the restaurant staff, to Alessandro Sebastiano and Sara who made breakfast such a pleasure each day, and to Roberta who was the first person to greet us and went out of her way to ensure our stay was superb! We had a very relaxing stay in a very beautiful setting supported by staff who were professional as well as friendly.

Lovely staff, amazing view from the restaurant, excellent location. Only stayed for the night in one of the small ‘cottages’ on-site so can’t speak for the facilities (apart from breakfast, which was decent). The room was very claustrophobic, incredibly cramped, with a window that looked out onto a dirty and peeling plaster wall and admitted hardly any daylight. The cottage was dingy and unloved, the small ‘garden’ unswept and grubby and pretty unpleasant. I dropped my towel on the bathroom floor and it came up filthy. Relieved we only stayed briefly for the one night tbh. Advertised (and charged) as five star, would say low four star at best. With the location and staff, could be wonderful with some $$ investment and a complete overhaul - but as it stands, difficult to recommend.
