Econo Lodge Busch Gardens

It was very nasty, not clean at all!!!!! it was right across the street from Busch Gardens, so that was the only good part about it. But it was very smelly, the bathrooms were not clean, towels were tough and smelly. I would never have stayed here in my life if there were vacancies somewhere else!!! Also, some of my clothes went missing!! sooooo yep, DO NOT STAY HERE! I NEVER waste my time writing reviews on anything, when I do is because things are really GOOD or went downhill real fast, real bad. So, if you stay here, I warned you.

This hotel's best feature is the walking distance to Bush Gardens. We've stayed before and both times there's been a problem with the safe--which they couldn't fix. EconoLodge is the new owner, so maybe with a bit of time they'll get their act together.

Nothing special, decent hotel for a place to sleep.

It is very close to Busch Gardens, but I didn't really like the hotel. It felt a little bit dangerous there.

Was in town for corporate work so only sleeping at facility. Adequent accamondations but outdated.

Aside from the rude lady at the front desk and the extremely loud rap music right outside our room... Very pleasant and relaxing

The room is good with microwave and small frige...the breakfast is good...well treat from all staff...big parking lot..very well located...all of this for a very good price. Very pleased.

The rooms was very clean , they worked with me cause I was two hours late .... But I felt like I was in the middle of the GHETTO !! Oh the pool would be perfect if it was cleaned out !! And they have to do better with the room keys I got locked out the building and my room second day there .

I had made a reservation before I had went to the hotel and when I got there I was talking to the guy he told me the rate was 79$ plus tax well I made a reservation for 59$ plus tax so when I told him I had the reservation he got s major attitude with me didn't want to accept the reservation he finally did he didn't Give me a reciept so I asked him for one and he kinda threw it at me horrible customer service I will not return

My family had a great time. It was a great vacation.

Ice machine didn't work. Cold water didn't work, dirty floors terrible smell, drug dealers putside

Knocks on door at 12, q and 2 am. Poor room security on sliding glass first floor doors. I would not stay even a second night of a scheduled 6 night stay.

This hotel is located right across the street from Busch Gardens FL, which is one of the reasons why we chose it. The other reason was the price. It is true when they say, you get what you paid for! The rooms were by no means clean. The shower in one of the rooms we had was broken! The water did not turn on at all. Luckily, we had another room to use that shower because we had no time to argue with the front desk. Another room had a lovely view of cigarette butts and an empty beer can in the gutter. When my husband and brother-in- law went to pick up food, a staff member was laying on the couch near the check in desk. The continental breakfast was mediocre at best. Not sure what it was that they were passing off as eggs. The entire experience was just terrible and I would not ever stay in this hotel again let alone recommend it!

The staff was very friendly, the linens were clean (the all smelled of bleach and detergent), the price was amazing, and the location was super (right next door to Busch Gardens and USF). However... the screws on the toilet were broken on one side so that I nearly fell off every time. The tub faucet would never entirely turn off, so that the hot water leaked constantly. The tub drain also had a leak. Even when fully stoppered it leaked constantly. The only way I could fix it was by using the plastic ice bucket liner to completely block the drain. Moreover, the security camera view (as visible from the front desk) was ~50 burnt out, 25 bad and blurry and only 25 clear and visible. Finally, although the room and linens smelled of bleach and detergent, the three spiders that decided to visit me over the 5 days, told me that the room was rarely used. Overall, this could be an amazing place to stay. The staff is very nice, the location is amazing (and the price is cheap) but it seems like the management isn't willing to invest enough to fix the minor elements that could turn the place into a 4 to 5 star hotel.

We arrived at the hotel late Friday night and when we entered the hotel hallway from the back entrance upstairs the door did not need our room key. It was not locked. When we got into our room my husband opened the curtains to the patio and found that there was no handle on the patio door or a lock. We then found that there was no extra security lock on the inside of our regular room door either. When I called the front desk he said we didn't need to worry about it because we were on the second floor. Really???!!!! He also was not able to move us to another room because there were none available. He was able to contact the remodel crew (who was still working late Friday night across the hall from us on another room) and they came and put in 2 security locks. The room was also missing the hairdryer and hangers. When I went to the front desk Saturday morning there was only one lady working and she said she could not help me as she could not leave the desk. She would have maintenance come in 2 hours. That night at 8:00pm I still did not have a blowdryer or hangers. I would NOT recommend this hotel as it is missing the Quality in it's name by a long shot.

Went to Busch gardens. The hotel was OK. nothing too special and the surrounding area didn't look too safe.

The hotel was great for what we needed it for. Close to Busch Gardens and cheap price.

ll the staff members were very polite from check in to check out. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. If you are looking for a deal, and a nice, clean place, we definitely would recommend.

Although the location is great for being right next to Busch Gardens, I would never suggest this hotel to a friend. Overall experience was negative. The area where the hotel is located is very ghetto. Reception is dirty and the only clean area is the hallways. Room was days Inn quality or worse. Worst part is the sound from other rooms and staff.

The hotel may have looked like it's description once, but not now. The breakfast was okay. But, no waffles. There were waffles in the hotel description, there was a sign at the breakfast with a picture of waffles and a picture of waffles on the actual hotel key card. But, no waffles at the actual breakfast. Not even a waffle iron. Where are the waffles?

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel, we will show our department heads this review. I am sorry to hear that the clock was not set right, we are working with our housekeepers to make sure they set each clock to the correct time, we have also been looking in to the safes and make sure they are working correctly.
