great position just 500 mts from the train station . small hotel with great friendly staff. rooms are large by Japan standards . very clean , breakfast is western style basic but ok. perfect hotel to stay for a couple of nights in this lovely little town .

Very well located near all sorts of eating places, shops and the station, in a very unassuming side street, there is nothing obvious to criticise in this modern western-style hotel. Rooms were adequate in size, the bed very comfortable and everything worked. The breakfast had all they options we'd ever need or want.

Great location about 2 mins from station. Take the east exit, walk straight across the road, up a block then left...you can't miss it! Nice hotel, clean and certainly big enough for our family of 3! Breakfast was ok, it filled us up for the morning, I think something you have to remember is you are in an Asian country so don't expect fried eggs on toast with bacon, beans etc... Staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband had a spa later in the evening (even with the dreaded ink on his arm), no one was around so he didn't get kicked out. He also had a foot massage which he enjoyed. Overall a really nice hotel in a great location, would definitely stay here again!

Another one night stop on a rail journey. Room a little bigger than others but were clean and tidy and you could open the window. Good breakfast. $5.00 beer and wine pre dinner drinks were on offer to us that night.

Basically this is a good hotel, centrally located, good size bedroom, bathroom on the small to cannot swing a cat size, but certainly adequate for a couple of nights. Where this hotel misses the boat is on two small things that could be easily fixed, I assume their management do not read Trip Advisor reviews! 1. The pillow is small and very hard, so my advice if you are staying is ask for an additional soft pillow when checking in. 2. The dining room for breakfast is a pleasant environment however, we were first through the door at 7.0am and all the food that should be hot, chips, bacon, eggs etc was cold! Not a good look. They need heaters under them. Tip I learnt from a fellow traveler- you do not need your room access card to turn on the lights, any type of card will do the trick!

On walking distance from the railroad station and village centre. Nice clean hotel, with friendly staff. Only one night the alarm of the building went "on", and there was an announcement, but only in Japanese...........We went downstairs, fortunateliy it was a false alarm. So the announcement for the alarm, needs improvement for the international tourists

The positives: well located just 2 minutes from the station and 5 minutes from the Old Town. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The service is pleasant. The negatives: on arrival at 2.20pm, we were advised we would not get access till 2.30pm (the room was not being prepared at the time). Strange. I have them my credit card as per standard and they proceeded to charge me in advance. We cannot recall this happening at ANY accommodation before. Strange. The breakfast is awful. We arrived at 7am when the dining room opened as we had an early rail to catch. Cold eggs (poached or scrambled), poor choice of fruit juices, cold bacon, etc. At ¥15 per head, even Best Western can do better. Due to a late lunch, we tried their Happy Hour offering. The wine (red and white) - very ordinary. Fried chicken - horrible. Avoid this. Their Japanese restaurant was closed.

This comfortable hotel is close to the city center and railway station. Rooms are spacious and comfortable even if slightly outdated. Cleanliness and service in the rooms are good. Basic but reasonable breakfast, a Nespresso coffee machine in the room is a pleasant addition. Overall the hotel is comfortable and cozy.

Although our room was a decent size and boasted a mini-bar, unfortunately this was empty, even of complimentary water. This is disappointing in a well-known hotel chain, and does not match up to lesser known establishments who do provide such basics. Also the bathroom had seen better days and was looking tired but it was very clean. The staff, too, were friendly and polite so altogether a reasonable stay.

I'd rate this 7/10 if I could. Plus points are good beds, nice included in price spa with mistsauna and jacuzzi baths, friendly English speaking staff and excellent location easy walk from train station and bus terminal and not too far from old town by foot either. Minuses, included buffet breakfast not much more on offer than a good Toyoko Inn and often been hanging around much longer! Inadequate toaster! Odd hours for own cafe i.e.Shut Sunday evening. No porter, and whilst the beds were good the twin standard room has large beds that aren't far enough away from the walls to walk straight alongside. I have better bedside access in a Toyoko Inn! Also standard rooms have no safe and although there is a wardrobe for hanging, no drawers for other stuff...might as well have been in a Toyoko Inn except for nicer beds by far and the spa. I'd stay again but like this time would want a good deal!
