Friendly staff, great location, but the place seems to cater to guests who like to come in / go out late late at night or early early morning, often in a less than sober condition, making noise in the hallway, waking you up over and over. Some drunk fools rammed their luggage into my door, unfortunately located next to the elevator, at 5 a.m. and woke me up on my most recent stay. The hotel is very very close to the National Theater and Concert Hall, so it's a good place to stay if you're in town for a performance, but don't expect to get a good night's sleep because of the uncivilized louts who are also staying there. Young couples who are partying at one of the smoky underground nightclubs nearby, or old people who yell into their cell phones at 5 a.m. while waiting for the elevator right outside your door. They apparently speak Chinese but cannot read the signs in Chinese reminding them to be quiet in the hallway.
Great location, small and unassuming, clean place with friendly staff
The breakfast is excellent, must eat. Convenient location, near the MRT, banks, post office, nice but not pricy restaurants. Staff are 24 hours, hospitality. There are two wash machines and dryers, 24 hours, for free. They even provide detergent, laundry nets and baskets at no charge. Next time I would pack less because of those wonderful facilities. I highly recommend this hotel and definitely would come back again.
The elite twin room was rather compact for two adults, but the hotel itself was very clean. Having breakfast included was a nice touch, and the staff almost never failed to greet you with a friendly smile.
Even though the room was compact, the hotel was impeccably clean and the bed very comfortable. All the hotel staff I met were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was quite nice for a hotel of this size. This is definitely a hotel to come back to for this price range.
This a very good hotel located next to the Dongmen subway station. We had only positive feelings - attentive staff, nice decor, room could have been bit bigger but generally it was good as it provided everything a guest needs, bathroom was also OK with great cosmetics. Special mention to breakfasts as those were very tasty, varied with lots of choice every morning. You can also have a free coffee in the hotel lobby. Location is also a big advantage - just on the subway's red line so it's very easy to get to CKS Memorial Hall, Taipei 101, Main Station, Beitou or even Tamsui.
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Very nice place to stay in Taipei

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Very nice place to stay in Taipei
Dear Valued Guests, Thank you for choosing to stay at Hotel 73 for your visit to Taipei and bringing the matter to our attention. We are glad to learn that you were satisfied with the hotel location and service. Being a team that aims to provide a pleasant and comfortable place for our guests, we wish to make an apology as your experience in our hotel did not meet your expectations. We are sorry to admit that the improvement in soundproof is not likely to take place since our hotel is a remodeled building with limited spaces. This fact is like an inherent defect though we are pursuing perfection in all the other aspects. Thanking you for your valuable comment and we very much look forward to your next visit. Andrew Yu / Supervisor Hotel 73
