Someone left their dog in their room when the were getting breakfast. The dog was barking and scratching to door preventing me from going back to sleep. I got in late and was hoping to rest.

The hotel is in a good location and the staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and kind. However, there are problems. We reserved a pet friendly room and paid the additional $23 to get one of the pet-specific rooms, which seems like a good idea, but the reality is that our room absolutely reeked of stale cigarette/cigar smoke, so reserving a "special" room didn't seem to protect us from that. Also, the air conditioner in the room did not work properly - the fan only ran occasionally (and we tried all of the settings - Auto, High, and Low) and the room never cooled down so sleeping was miserable. And finally, the fan in the bathroom rattles so much that I did not use the fan when I showered because I was certain it was loud enough to wake the neighbors. I was also told my Choice Privileges member number would automatically be added to my reservation, but when I received my final receipt for the $23 for the pet fee, it said that was not enough money spent for my stay to be counted. I assume that since I booked it through Expedia, I will need to go back to manually enter it later. For a one night stay, this property was fine. But since we didn't feel we could be moved since there is a limited number of pet-friendly rooms, we were miserable sleeping in the heat of the room, even though the temperature overnight outside was not that hot, but we couldn't open the windows.

1) Shower lever valve needs replacing in our room 2) 2 stories, stairs only 3) General mildly poor smell in hallway (2nd floor) 4) Desk person couldn’t reach manager to figure out how to change our room from 2nd floor to1st 6) Kitchen juice despensers out of operation 7) price with all of that was reasonable on the other hand. Therefore with certain convincing of wife, we’d stay there again.

We went to this hotel because it was convenient for my husbands high school reunion. We had a great stay and there are several nice restaurants in the area to get breakfast and dinner. Everyone that worked there was very helpful with anything that we needed. We will stay there again.

place was clean, but..... - there were huge cracks in the ceiling above each bed. we weren't comfortable with this, but they wouldn't change our room. Said they were out of rooms, but it didn't seem that crowded. - closest restaurant was Burger King. Others 5 min away all closed at 9, except what appeared to be a biker bar. there's a gas station/food mart next door. - overall, the area wasn't that nice. not unsafe, but just not nice. for a much lower rate, I'd probably stay there again. my wife? not a chance!

This is very decent hotel for 3 star rating. The staff is nice and breakfast was good. We felt some smoking smell in the room while entering, so hotel needs to enforce no smoking policy more strictly. Another suggestion is to include non-egg version of items in the breakfast to cater to vegan and people with allergy sensitive. Overall, definitely recommended to stay.

We have family that live in the area so we have stayed here before. It has slowly been declining over the years. This past weekend will be the last time we stay there. It’s run down and needs a major overhaul. I didn’t want to touch the shower curtain especially. The breakfast wasn’t good so we left and ate somewhere else. Safety was a concern since the back door key card wasn’t working and the door was unlocked the whole time.

Would not stay at this establishment, it smelled musty,staff rude and i didn't relize they had bed bugs a year ago ,so when that was brought to my attention we left right after the concert. When asked why we were leaving i told her because i wasn't staying in a place that might have bed bugs or not i couldn't take that risk .i did not get a refund because i paid on line so that pissed me off even more the night clerk was very rude to me.So do what you want with this review, if it looks iffy trust your gut
