This is an awesome suite style lodge. We have a hard time finding affordable, comfortable accommodations where the whole family can stay in one room. Layout was cozy & perfect for us. Love the kitchen and living room area. Great views and atmosphere.
Rooms are very clean, neat and newlooking. Waterpark is great for kids under 10, but the jacuzzis needs some work done. By the time you pay the room, waterpark, food and any other activities you are spending about two grand for a weekend! Way too unaffordable.
Our group had a wonderful experience at Hope Lake Lodge. We were 60 strong and Sean did a great job getting every detail just as we requested. Thanks Faye for going above and beyond the norm. One of our members was not able to attend because of doctors orders and Faye was easy to work with. The food was plentiful and delicious. This was our third conference in three years and I’ve already reserved the date for next year. Thanks for a great stay.
rooms are excellent, clean and affordable.Location to attractions is easy, wine trail is very nice, staff are very pleasant and accomadating, restaurant is nice. wter park is convienent for children.the adjoining pub was really good
We got a package that included the Water park tickets. Actual lodge is really nicely decorated and clean....very cozy. Rooms well appointed and comfortable. The water park was fun for the kids, along with the pool and Jacuzzi. Something really nice about being in a super warm pool when the air outside was a little chilly. Impressed with the lifeguards, their attentiveness and the system they have in place are reassuring with so many people in the park - Feel safe. Had breakfast at acorn grill...it was only ok. Overall experience was great and well worth it!!
My friend, Mary, had been telling me about Hope Lake Lodge for months. We both have daughters that go to school in Ithaca and she raved about staying at this place when she visits Ithaca. I have to say HOPE LAKE LODGE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! What a Beautiful place! We stayed in the Rolling Waters Suite with a balcony. From the minute I drove up to the door, I was taken aback by the beauty and the detail. My suite was not different. The suite has a kitchen with stove , microwave and refrigerator. not to mention the dishes, pots and pans, glasses and cups, coffee maker, snacks (you have to pay for them) and the beautiful wine glasses and 2 bottles of wine( you have to pay if you open the wine but what an AMAZING touch because when you see the view from your balcony, you are going to want to sit there with that wine and take it all in) I decided to take a self guided tour of the facility. The cool children's room where they have activities for kids every Friday and Saturday night. You can hike around the lake ( with a guide or on your own with map, I prefer a guide because I KNOW I would get lost...lol.....SHOUT OUT TO STEVE WHO WAS SUPER HELPFUL, VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND VERY FRIENDLY) One of the other reviews talked about how small the water park is. I think its the perfect size! The children I saw there were having a great time. I don't think they noticed the size ...only the fun. There is also a pool outside (although you may not be able to swim when it gets cold, its great to know its there for the summer months in addition to the Waterpark) A fitness center, fire pits lit in the evening for S'mores, a cute bar area and across the street is the Adventure Center when you can do all kinds of stuff, Ziplining, hiking, Snow tubing (winter), etc. Now for the Biggie.......Customer Service........EVERYONE...I MEAN ..EVERYONE I came in contact with....from the front desk, to reservations, to housekeeping......was very pleasant, welcoming, and very helpful. It didn't matter what question I asked ( and I ALWAYS ask questions.smile) they answered with knowledge and a smile. Lastly, I want to put your fears to rest if you are thinking.......UGHHHH SO FAR FROM ITHACA.......NOT FAR AT ALL!!!... I was worried because I knew we weren't going to get there until late and I wanted to see my daughter before I checked in. The roads are long , I wont sugarcoat that......but I promise you, by your second day, you will whip yourself down those roads like a pro! and by the second day, It didn't feel far at all......So the next time you are looking for a place to stay when you visit Ithaca....check out the Hope Lake Lodge. I know you will love it as much as I did! (and by the way, I am VERY picky about accommodations...lol)
Hope Lake Lodge is a really nice resort. The guest rooms, of which there are many varieties, are all tastefully decorated in a Lodge theme. They have plenty of room, a gas fireplace, a full small kitchen. They have an on site water park and arcade. Both are small but lots of fun, especially since the waterpark is usually included in the price of the room. They also have an outdoor pool that is open year round. After a day of skiing its awesome to hit the pool and look at the slopes! Also, Greek Peak ski area is right across the street.
Most travelers seek out the name brand chains near the interstate exchange. We choose differently and you should too, especially if your traveling with kids. Greek Peak is a beautiful place in the summer, as well as when its covered in white stuff! Indoor water park, outdoor zip line, lifts, hiking, neart by horseback trails. Rooms are spacious, with many equipped with fireplaces, full kitchens, separate living and sleeping spaces. And, when you look at the cost of a common room in one of those chains, the Lodge is Very Reasonable.
The rooms in this hotel are decorated in a mountain lodge style. They have a kitchenette so this helps with staying on a budget. There is a water park attatched to it which convient and fun. I would definetely stay there again. Faye at the front dest was knowledgable and helpful. There are a couple things that I wish were better. When checking in, I was told we were 2 doors down from the water park entrance. I stated that I hoped it wouldn't be noiesy because I needed to relax and get some sleep. The front desk person commented that it closes at 10:00 and we should be fine. What he didn't tell us was that next door to us was a large family with little ones. There were lots of playful activity. I was okay with that but then the baby started crying. I'm well aware of the fact that babies cry. What the front desk gentleman should have seen that there was a potential for us to be disturbed. I was awoken early in the morning with a crying baby. Not even a full night't sleep was had. When someone says they need quite, you might want to check to see who they are next to and make adjustments if at all possible. The other problem was that the water park slides were not to open till 11:45. We were to check out by noon. Thankfully this was remedied by allowing us a late check out and the water park staff calling in lifeguards to cover the other employees that didn't make it to work that day. So glad this was remedied because it was a blast. Even though there were bumps in our stay, I would recommend this hotel.
Our room was amazing, the food was pretty good. Front desk staff seemed overwhelmed. The valet named Cres should be promoted to CEO!!! He treated us like royalty and always had a smile on his face. Everyone should treat their guests like that man does!
