The log cabin was beautiful! Though make sure it's properly cleaned first! We had a great time and couldn't be happier overall! We had my daughters wedding there and I cannot say enough good about Sheena, Chelsea, and the entire staff! The cabin was great for getting ready (though lighting isn't set up for that as it's a ski resort after all) Bring extra lights and mirrors if you are there for an event. You cannot go wrong with Greek!!!!
We were in town for a family wedding. I had skied at Greek Peak in my early years but hadn't been back since the lodge and water park were added. The lodge was a pleasant surprise. Our rooms were fabulous! Clean and super efficient for our family. The wedding was just beautiful and we had a great time at the water park the next day with the whole family. I can't wait to come back for another visit.
PROS: The water park was fun for my 2 and 10 year old, good size where I could let my 10 year old roam and easily find him. They both had a great time. Our favorite was the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, pretty cool when it was snowing. We bought hotel through Groupon which included 2 day waterpark so it was very affordable. The room was clean and had a nice stocked kitchen and gas fireplace. We cooked breakfast every morning and brought bread and deli meat for lunch, we went out for dinner. Really liked Doug's Fish Fry and Hairy Tony's, their food was pretty good. CONS: During our stay (Sun-Tue) we did not have running water all Monday and either no running water or no warm water on Tuesday. We had to shower at the water park which was very inconvenient. We received a free lunch because of this issue at the Acorn Grill but the food wasn't very good. Waterpark opened at 4 on Monday. Beds & pillows were uncomfortable. Suggestions for hotel- fan in bathroom, warmer water in kiddie pool, longer weekday waterpark hours. TIPS: I would suggest to bring pam spray, small sponge & dishwasher soap (especially for bottles/kids cups) and beach towels since the towels provided are extremely thin and are soaked seconds after using. Overall we would return but only on a weekend, the most inconvenient issue was the water but I am sure that wouldn't happen again.
We had a great trip! The hotel is very focused on customer service and very accommodating! All staff made eye contact, smiled and went out of there way to make sure you were happy. Lifeguards were very attentive and obviously thoroughly trained. Rooms are nicely decorated with Adirondack theme . Full kitchens and fireplace is great! Mountain Coaster was a lot of fun. We also visited beautiful waterfalls. Will definitely return!
We had a great time at Hope Lake Lodge Resort. There was plenty to do for my son and his friends. The waterpark, pool and hot tub were awesome! My son and his friends especially enjoyed the arcade. They also enjoyed several activities at Greek Peak which is across the street from the Lodge. The prices for activities were extremely reasonable. The staff was so accommodating at Hope Lake especially Housekeeping. We would stay here again and we highly recommend this resort.
Our room for 2 nights cost $700+ Expensive to begin with. Check in is at 4:00 our room was not ready until after 5:00. We sat in the full lobby with many other people waiting for our rooms. Our room was average at best. The fire place, in room telephones and bedroom tv did not work. The furniture in the room was old and well worn. The positives were the lodge staff and the bar and restaurant all good. Also, the skiing was great! We will probably try and find an Air B&B or Homeaway property for our next trip to Greek Peak. This room was definitely not worth the money spent.
Such a perfect family getaway! The snow capped mountains and scenic views was a beautiful Winter wonderland. The lodge was very comfortable and roomy. Sarah was super nice at the front desk. Made us feel very welcome and answered and met all of our needs. Tyler our Learn to Ski Instrutor and his staff were so attentive and fun. When we checked out the manager was very caring and asked how our stay was. I told him were definitely returning. Thanks to all for making our stay so wonderful. :)
We had a really nice one night visit to the Lodge. Everyone was really friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and I loved the gas fireplace to warm up to after skiing all day. We went to the water park the following day and the kids had so much fun. The pool and hot tub both have indoor entry points that you can get to the outside from. The pool was heated so we were able to swim outside even though it was only 30 degrees out. Swimming outside with ski slopes in the background was really cool.
Luckily we can afford the rates but it is pricey as a value. Overall the services and amenities of the Pool and Ski and Adventure area were great if you can afford it. We ate the acorn grill and used the coaster at the adventure park were all good. Skied one day 6 degrees and rain before impacted quality but great mountain Greek Peak anyway
Wonderful, attentive staff, from our arrival to departure. We had a lovely family vacation at Hope Lake Lodge. This lodge is beautifully maintained and very clean . My husband and I along with our daughter, her husband and our 18 month old granddaughter had a terrific vacation here. One of the awesome things about the Hope Lodge is that the food offered in the Acorn restaurant and the Stax restaurant, near the ski areas had delicious food. We have no doubt that we will return. The wait staff was so nice, we are very grateful for such attention to detail. Thank you.
