Very pleasant surprise stay at a well located hotel.

The hotel was conveniently located on a main street in Sydney, but easily accessible. Great elevator access from ground floor, especially with large luggage in tow. Rooms are small, but very clean and modern.

The Pensione Hotel is a perfect location to explore downtown Sydney and is close to great food and the famous Paddy's Market. There is a free shuttle bus (555) that stops outside the hotel and goes to Circular Quay and the Rocks area. The Hotel offers all amenities and you can take your own breakfast food in the Guest Lounge which has tea making facilities and microwave, etc. There are many good restaurants within a couple of blocks for lunch and dinner.

Hello, Its usually not hard to please me with a hotel, I just want a clean room, decent bed and wifi connection! I came hear expecting a lot worse but was pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect to get to any major part of Sydney. The room is decent size. My bed was clean and perfectly made. Everything looked really clean and i was expecting to see some kind of bug or cockroach but Im so glad I didn't . No bugs here! Under the bed did look dirty and there was a receipt from a past guest. I think they can do a little better vacuuming up the room! One time the hot water cut out after being on just a few minuets, but this only happened once! They charge for a breakfast box $10 save it and go to a cafe instead. There is a commons area, microwave, coffee etc. There is machines to wash your clothes.I called the front desk a few times and they were always happy to help. I would use this hotel again. I kind of wish i booked a few more nights. you can use the 20 limo charge from the airport or take the train from the airport. and get off on central or townhall station.

I really enjoyed my 3 nights at Pensione Hotel. Very comfortable, clean, and good customer service! Easy walk to so many places from this hotel!

My experience at the hotel was fine. it is located close to the train station back to the airport. The hotel was completely fine, but nothing special. The room was very small but I suspected that. The bathroom was nice though. The front desk person when i checked in wasn't very knowledgeable, but the staff person in the morning when i checked out was great. WiFi was slow and didn't work well in the room. I was only there one night as a layover so didn't need much.

The hotel is accessed by elevator from the door on George St. Reception on the first floor. Check-in was easy and staff friendly. My room was very small, and it appeared that many of the rooms are also small. There is a good size bathroom with shower, flat screen TV and mini fridge in the room. I found the hotel very clean, both rooms and public areas. The free CBD bus stops right outside the hotel as well as many other bus routes. There is a market a couple blocks away with a fantastic variety of fresh fruit and veg.

Interesting hotel with character. Clean and comfortable room, though a bit small. Convenient location for our time spent in Sydney, and size was not too much of a problem as most of our time was out in the city. On free bus route, which was a plus for seeing as much of the city as possible. Be aware of the unique entrance through an arcade, especially if you arrive late.

The hotel is not special but in a great location easy to get from the airport by train and just a $30 cab ride back. Close to Darling Habor, the marketplace and 20 minute walk to Circle quay.

to compare this hotel to a US hotel Motel 6 would be a luxury! The room contained a bed, tiny wardrobe, a lamp and phone. The bathroom had 2 very thin bath towels, a bathmat, no hand towel, tiny soap for shower, no bath! After our 18 hr plane journey from the States, I was beyond caring. Took 2 sleeping pills turned on white noise machine but could not sleep with the constant music beat from night-club underneath my room. By 3 am I figured it will stop soon, went to front desk and was told it has nothing to do with them, it just happens to be underneath!!! He told me to be out of room by 10 and they would move us to a quieter room. Packed up once more out by 10 but no room ready for us! After several hours got room on second floor, quieter but no window. After paying close to $1,000 for six nights I could not believe how bad this was

The hotel is a lot cleaner than the Great Southern Hotel I stayed at a few days earlier. The front desk staff was cheerful and helpful. The hotel didn't charge a fee to store my suitcase for 3 hours after check-out while I shopped before being picked up by the airport shuttle.

Pensione Hotel is a small hotel that does not have a hotel shuttle from airport. It's best to take a taxi from the airport and take the O'Riordan street and not the highway because it's more expensive. The hotel is in the middle of Chinatown which is great for walking to restaurants. The reception is on the 1st floor so stay on ground level to use the elevators but the hotel is so tiny and circled and even if you take elevators there are still so many stairs to take so be aware of that. The rooms are so tiny and so are the hallways but I really enjoyed it. We traveled to Melbourne and New Zealand and stayed at other hotels although they were larger, we missed Pensione Hotel the best. We got there early and check in is still 14:00 but it was already ready for us so that was a nice bonus. They had enough towels for all of us, unlike other hotels.

Good location. Clean. Bus stop near from door. Very small room with limited storage and lighting. Near Chinatown, mostly Asian food in area.

The hotel staff was friendly and the location was very conveniently located near the train station. I was there only overnight and the access to town and restaurants was helpful. The area turned a little tougher at night but the hotel staff was well aware and locked the doors at 10 PM. The room was nicely furnished and clean. It had a nice coffee/tea service, min-fridge and room safe. Just be aware though that when they say petite, they mean it. I would stay there again if in the city.

Dear valued guest, It is great to see that you enjoyed most aspects of your stay with us. It is however disappointing to read that you fond that the public areas need a sprucing up. This is certainly something we are working on and constantly undergoing refurbishments. We hope to welcome you back in the near future. Warm Regards,
