The Runnymede on Thames4.0 out of 5.0

I recently stayed at the Runnymede on Thames with my husband and both of us couldn’t fault the hotel, and we are hard to please! The facilities, food and rooms are all excellent. What’s more the staff really do go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and to make your stay so enjoyable. It goes without saying that we will definitely be returning!
I have stayed at the Runnymede a couple of times many years ago but not since it’s been refurbished. Spotless, quiet, stylish, fabulous in room amenities and very comfortable. Lovely setting overlooking the river and although our room overlooked the car park you couldn’t hear a thing. The spa facilities were fabulous with complementary washing products. Good size pool and the jacuzzi and steam room spotless. We loved the complementary refreshments in the club room after our spa. All staff from reception to cleaning attendants were friendly and professional. We ate in the Leftbank restaurant in the evening (I have left two reviews for here in the past) and yet again stunning food, fresh, very well cooked and presented with a wide variety of contemporary & traditional dishes. Loved our whole stay from start to finish, no complaints.
We stay with some friends and we all enjoy the hotel facilities and wonderful staff. Had a lovely meal in the Leftbank Restaurant and we would to thank Gosia, Liam and Daniel, they made our dinner experience memorable. Breakfast was superb with a beautiful river view and great selection of food. Aga, Martyna, Gemma and Ben made our morning very special, they were all very attentive! We definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
We spent a night at this hotel on a dinner bed and breakfast package. My husband called them earlier in the week to let them know it was my birthday to see if they could do something a bit special. They told him as we were eating in the buffet restaurant they would not be able to accommodate this request. We were also given no extra touches in our room or during our stay. We found the service for dinner simply average as the waiter forgot our drinks order and did not seem to know what he was doing. The food at the buffet was very good. Our room was fine, quite small but we got what we paid for. The noise levels both in the corridor and outside our window in the evening was very annoying and it was difficult to relax. We also visited he spa on Saturday afternoon and couldn’t wait to leave to be honest. Extremely noisy and no where to sit and relax. Overall an okay experience but I won’t be rushing back
Bigger than I thought road outside was very noisy. Very corporate feel and serevive was quite poor. Food was amazing, rooms are lovely, clean and the beds were comfy. Lifts were broken the room wasn’t ready in time.
We went for a river view room. Well worth the extra. Had a lovely meal in the Lock bar and a superb breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was outstanding with everything you could possibly think of on offer. We saw smoked salmon, cheeses all manner of breads and pastries as well as many cooked items. The black pudding was the best I have ever tasted! All in all a wonderful stay.
The proximity to Heathrow aiport made this hotel a good location for a conferemce as we had people flying in some driving from London, Food and beverage was well taken care off and the meeting rooms worked well.
This hotel is a good choice. Located off J13 M25 it is well placed for London, Heathrow and the surrounding towns. It is a well presented hotel with professional staff. The rooms are high end and spaceous. The spa facilities are wonderful and a day visit there alone is recommended. We regularly visit the restaurants, the food is excellent and reasonably priced for the area. Personally I think it's the location on the River Thames that takes this hotel to another level. You step outside into stunning garden offering walks along the riverbank. Pricey but so are all the hotels in this area due to Heathrow.
A group of us visit here regularly for overnight offsite meetings. The location is great with beautiful views of the river and the meeting rooms are well equipped. We eat in the Lock for dinner which always impresses with its varied menu and wine list. What prevents this being excellent is the bedrooms, they are extremely small and just average. Pretty sure I was up a temporary bed for this latest visit since it was so abnormally low to the floor. For the price you pay the rooms are really disappointing.
to be sharp. it is a charming modern hotel quite and nice and a bit out of the center of staines compare to Mercure. But it propose more high class services , more modern than the other. in the morning following the Thames you can walk up to your company or go to the center. Breakfast and diner are fine
