Hotel needs full makeover

This hotel needs a huge makeover and refurbishments. Service is extremely bad. Door locks malfunctioned few times. No word of apology for the inconveniences caused. We chose this hotel only for its location.

Disappointing ...

Not too bad overall, the location is great, but the hotel is invaded with family groups lacking any kind of respect for other customers. The breakfast experience was awful in between those people … Breakfast buffet offer is also much less than a few years back. I did enjoy the big room, there's space enough, but the bathroom is clearly in need of deep renovation. Same goes for the lifts ...

Very poor maintenance

The hotel was built to a high standard, probably about 30 years ago. However it has not been maintained properly. The lobby looks good. But from the lift onwards, you can really see that a tired looking hotel. The bed was comfortable. Water from the tap at the sink goes in different directions because it it partially clogged. Should either be serviced or changed. The sink outlet was also clogged. Stayed 2 nights. On the first morning, I had only cold water from the shower. On the second morning, there was hot water. The jug kettle provided was so old that the heating element that boils the water was corroding away. There is no working desk, so I had to use the TV table to work on my laptop. Iron and board is not available even upon request. This hotel is totally not suitable for business travellers. Breakfast spread was fairly good. However there were a few vegetables at the salad bar that had started becoming rotten. One of my colleagues got stuck in the lift for a few minutes. Maintenance is poor, and it does not seem that the people up-keeping this hotel are doing their job. All of us colleagues staying during this visit agreed that we would never stay in this hotel again.

Really dirty room, no view at all. Asked for a room change and they gave me another one which was worst. For sure not a 3 star hotel. Some 2 stars hotels are much more better.

Outdated, good location and nice food.

We didn’t receive what we booked and when asked for the rooms we had booked and paid (and were guaranteed), we got no explanation or the room we had booked. Service only wanted us to sign the form and did not inform us about breakfast or anything for that matter. We also mistakingly had wrong breakfast vouchers. So we came back to arrange it accordingly so we could get breakfast the next day. The communal areas (outside of the lobby) are not well maintained, we had a clogged bathroom upon arrival and our window looked out upon a stained brick wall. Let’s leave out other details. Turn down service was good considering providing towels. The location is good depending on your itinerary, the hotel is located between entrance 1 and 6 of Tunjungan plaza. This can be convenient if you wish to have rather a lazy or luxurious stay. Food is good, but come early. Thank you for the stay. Little tip, we could understand behasa and understood what your staff were saying over tourists during our stay….
