The Mirage Alexandra Headland

We had a 2 bedroom apartment, and it was hugh! 2 bathrooms, laundry, full kitchen and balcony with tables and chairs. Air-con and cceiling fans Each level has its own recycle and rubbish room which seems to be cleared regularly. General warm swimming pool, lap pool, and spa for those who need it. But it's not too hot. Tennis court can be booked in advance, and rackets and balls can be hired. Right next door is a Ten pin bowling alley. Situated across the road from the beach, but not adjacent to it. An easy 5min walk though.

Clean, modern and spacious rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Great amenities! The sauna was fantastic and I struggled to get my 6 year old out of the pools he loved the waterfall. Only five minute walk to the beach, surf clubs and shops. We are looking forward to going back!

We booked a 2-bedroom apartment for 3 nights. The apartment itself was huge compared to what I am used to. It had 2 bathrooms and there was so much room for our family of 4 to move around and not sit on top of each other. The balcony overlooked the park and lake which was nice to sit and have breakfast each morning plus my children loved to see the baby swans each morning. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything you need away from home. I do think it needs a little love thrown back into the place with the carport warn and paint peeling off in place but overall a well-maintained apartment. The only other thing I feel the apartment needed was another air condition unit in the main bedroom. Us folk from Melbourne struggle with the humidity and heat up North and found the fan did not cool the place down over night. The air condition in the main living area did work well but just could not cool the whole apartment. The pool area is beautiful, the gardens surrounding the pool are calming and quiet. My girls loved all 3 pools (it was hard to get them out of the water). One had a waterfall which they loved swimming under. The waterfall does turn off at 3pm which is a shame as someday we got back to the apartment late in the afternoon for a swim and the waterfall did not work. A lizard comes out each afternoon and sits on a rock right near the spa (look out for him). We found out we had made an error in our booking and had booked the accommodation twice once in my name and once in my husband’s name (I did not know this had happened prior to checking in). Staff member Sue was so helpful, given me all the details I needed to fix the error. In the end I was given a full refund even though we did not book direct with the resort, I am extremely grateful for this. Overall it was a really nice place to stay good location close to local shops and beach. I would stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Loved this place, very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped. Great balcony where you can look over the beautiful parkland. Bed was very comfortable. The complex has 3 pools and a tennis court. We will certainly stay again.

Set one block back from the beach with limited views it’s very quiet. This Mirage is self contained apartments so don’t be confused like we were and think it’s linked to the Mirage hotels. Pretty clean and aircon was fabulous in all rooms. The top floor offers a separate roof top private bbq area but there is no access direct from the apartment. Wifi worked off and on and was unlimited when it was working. Managers work business hours so make sure if you need anything it’s within those hours. No hair dryer caught me out as was outside managers hours and I wouldn’t consider it an emergency to contact the a/h mobile. Pool was lovely and car parking provided.

Booked a three bedroom ocean view room (over $2000 for 4 nights). Went to take a shower, and the handrail to step into the bath fell off the wall. When we advised the site managers, we were accused of breaking it. The ceiling fans were so dusty the blades had a black edge on them. Don't expect a good night's sleep either; the sprinklers start up around 2am. And the best part, you have to clean the unit before leaving (empty bins, wash dishes, etc) or you get charged $50 "cleaning fee". I thought the rent paid for cleaning - how silly of me. What a joke.

We now always stay here when at the Sunshine Coast. During the past year we had three stays (June, July and October) and are looking forward to our next stay this year. The managers, Andrew and Margo, and their staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are great. There is a tennis court, a small playground, several pools - a large free-form pool, a children's pool and a lap pool, as well as a spa. There is a lovely poolside barbecue area. There is also a large playground in the park in front of the Mirage. The apartments are all spacious and well-equipped; most are two or three bedrooms so if you want only one bedroom the others are locked off, which still gives you a roomy living area. Each apartment has an allocated easy to use parking space, and there is also a gym and sauna. The Mirage is set back from the esplanade so it is very quiet while still being only a very short walk to the beautiful Alex Head beach. The Alex Surf Club is also basically at the end of the street, and there are lots of restaurants and shops close by. There is a ten-pin-bowling alley next door too. We highly recommend these apartments.

Despite the fact that this group of self contained apartments are very pricey, they are spacious, relaxing, clean, safe, family and other friendly, quiet after 9 [noise / party rules here], 5 minutes to the beach by foot, 2 mins to lake which you can walk around safely, walking distance to many cafes and eateries, as well as mini shops for the staples and by car a short drive to many shopping centres, cinemas etc. 35mins to Noosa and Eumundi markets by car. I would recommend BYO beach towel and face washer [though they have some at the front desk if you ask]. The rooms have ceiling fans and aircon and most have a compendium with ideas of what to do - you are right next to a ten pin bowling place too. Rooms also have dishwashers and laundry. When arriving after hours they have a good system to pick up keys and will email instructions to you. The pools cater for children and differing heights and is heated to a pleasant 29degrees. The majority 99.5% of the front desk staff and ground keepers are super friendly. I'd stay here again if I could afford it.

The reservations team and management were wonderful to deal with, whether via email or phone in the leadup and also when we arrived on site. Because it is set back off main road it is tranqil and quieter, and has lovely surroundings. Get an ocean view room if you can, wonderful views. Hot tub and pools were terrific (best to pack a spare towel from home fyi). There were lots of cafes within 10min walk and couple of mini marts/iga within 10mins. Coles supermarket is a 20-25 min walk to Mooloolabah. The apartments are a great size and have pretty much all you will need. Beds were comfortable, water pressure great, air con terrific, had a great stay here. Hint :We arranged a large supermarket online delivery on our first night eg Milk,Toilet paper, Bottled water,Laundry powder, washing detergent, Softdrinks, Fruit n Veg...saved carrying heavy &bulky items locally.😀

Stayed at the Mirage for 7 nights in one of the top floor room with a roof top balcony. Room was spacious, clean and secure. Roof top had a table and chairs along with a Webber BBQ, could have used some more shade and perhaps a sun lounge or two but still worth while. Easy walk to the beach and coffee shops, small convenience shop close by but really need a car to access the major supermarkets. All in all a great week, thanks.
