Arriving mid-August we spent 3 very relaxing weeks at the facility In a 2 bedroom unit which more than met all of our requirements in respect to both in-house facilities whilst providing convenient access to the local facilities and transport. We found the resort both suitable for us as a couple whilst offering the features essential for families with children. During our stay we found all staff were most helpful. Given our experience we have rebooked for our escape to the north in 2018 CR
We stayed 5 nights, the jacuzzi in the main room didn't work, they tried to fixed with no success. The fridge didn't work either, at the 3rd day they changed for a smaller one. The carpets were very dirty. The ladies in the front desk were not nice at all. They don't provide any cleaning service (just if you stay for more than 8 nights) they charge you even for a high chair. When you book a room in a resort, you expect to feel the difference, not in Ivory Palm resort, they just rent appartments. Not worth it. The location is good. Swimming pools are nice.
We had 2x 3 bedroom apartments booked for a family trip to a wedding in Noosa. The rooms were very good and the resort generally was great! Each apartment was clean and comfortable, and had all the basic necessities. The heated pool was also popular! We had breaky at the cafe one morning. Well priced and the food came out super quick! We would stay here again if visiting the area and will recommend to others
Called in last year and made a week booking for this Aug with a view of spending all of next Melbourne winter there. Chose a room we thought looked good. They changed it to what had to be the worst room (93) on the resort. Old, worn down, dirty (carpet stains and sofa stains). Not happy at all about it. The resort itself is very good and I'm sure many units are fine (met other couples who were very happy). So the verdict is that the resort is good (apart from their restaurant which is also very grubby) but the booking we had was disgraceful and for that reason will never go back there. They are always booked up so I realise they won't care about our situation but decided to give the full story good and bad but had to rate terrible because that's what it was for us
I just want to start by saying that the reception staff are great, but there cleaners need to be sacked. We originally visited a year ago and had a great time but this time was very disappointing, the room was so dirty the floor was not vacuumed, there was stains on the bedding hairs in the bed (not ours) there was even some nasty marks in the toilet that wasn't cleaned properly. Yucky!!! After we complained in the morning the cleaner finally made there way around to "clean" at 2:00 which consisted of removing the doonas and throwing some clean blankets on the end of the bed for us to make.(there was still hairs on the sheets and toilet still dirty and floors not vacuumed) not to mention the rest of the place was so dirty. After complaining again the receptionist lady come and made the beds with clean bedding witch was nice of her but it should never have been that bad in the first place. Sorry but we will never go back.
The resort is extremely well located and consists of privately owned units that are managed/administered by a team of staff. Our 1-bedroom unit was much bigger than your average motel room with separate bedroom, spacious living area, nice bathroom and full kitchen. A small balcony out the back looked over the pool with direct access to the pool. The complex includes 3 pools, a tennis court, and a jumpy thingee for kids. There is also a reasonably priced in-house cafe. The resort is situated right next door to the Tewantin Noosa Bowls Club so ideal for lawn bowlers. Very quiet at night with no excessive noise thanks to a 9.00 PM curfew on outside activities. At $170 per night it's not exactly cheap but we took advantage of a deal where the fourth night was free so it averaged out at a very reasonable $127 per night for a 4 night stay. Long term tariffs are much cheaper. All in all, an excellent place to spend your holiday, well located, quiet, and very comfortable. Definitely recommended.
I took my daughter away for a special 3 day getaway. I work in a busy hotel of 100 rooms & looked forward to the time away interstate. After an early flight and navigating our way to the accommodation there was no delightful welcome, just a here's your map, there's your keys.. no conversation was made. Got to our room and it was quite outdated. Furniture is well worn and decor a bit reminiscent of the 80's. My daughter immediately spotted a noticeable blood stain on the wall. I was horrified. I called the front desk and they sent someone to clean it straight away. There was an apology "oh no, sorry about that" & that's all. We later spotted chips on the carpet, a 2 inch black hair on the bath and dead spiders in the amenities cupboard. The bedding consisted of a sheet and a musky smelling brown microfibre blanket, obviously not clean and I woke up freezing. The bedding was way too light.I live in Alpine Victoria so trust me, I know cold & shouldn't have been. Insufficient bedding should not be a concern. There was an extra blanket in the cupboard which I used on the bed for the duration of the stay. On the last night of our 3 night stay we spotted more blood in the doorway of our room. As it was 10pm and reception unattended, we left it but I was repulsed and complained about it on check out, more to ensure they clean it prior to the next guest. We didn't find at the restaurant, there's a strong disconcerting smell close by which was quite off putting. We purchased a garlic pizza and half of it was cold so I did not enjoy it. I have been a Housekeeping supervisor and work closely with hotel management in my current Front Office Hotel position. There is honestly no excuse for our room to lack the cleanliness it did, especially when I paid a lot of money for our 3 night stay. There needs to be some sort of standard. A simple "oh sorry about that" just doesn't cut it. There was no offer of compensation or even a beverage to offer as goodwill. I hope the game is lifted for others who will sadly choose to stay. I wouldn't refer it to anyone.
After spending 4 weeks in May at Ivory Palms, we came back again for a short break. The 2 bedroom/2 bathroom townhouse we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. All new beds this time - king size singles/king size. The heated pool is always inviting. The short walk along the river to the Noosaville cafes for coffee was a daily routine. The quick bus ride into Hastings Street allowed us to stroll the shops and beachfront without the hassle of finding car parking. All in all, an enjoyable winter break.
We had a great time at Ivory palms this year with great accommodation, great weather, great social life with friends calling in. It was great great great Now that I am back in cold Victoria I miss sitting around the pool at the end of the day after browsing the cafe's on Gympie TCE and Hastings St
The 2 storey townhouse in which we stayed had just been renovated so it was lovely, however there were some disappointments. Firstly, the outdoor area was situated along the roadside, so not only was there no view, it was extremely hazardous as it was not enclosed. My 2 year old niece could have easily wandered onto the road with fatal consequences. We locked the sliding door, however had to watch her like a hawk as she is able to unlock doors now. The upstairs balcony was just as bad - yes it was enclosed, however the railing around the balcony was made of horizontal bars, making it the perfect ladder for a curious toddler to climb. We brought this to the attention of staff and they tried their hardest to accommodate us by offering to switch rooms, however all the other rooms were just the same, the only difference being that instead of getting run over, my niece could drown in the pond by the outdoor area instead. To make our stay worse; Foxtel only consisted of some sport channels, a couple kids channels and FOX8, and we couldn't view movies on Netflix because they only provided 500MB of internet data - pathetic! I attempted to buy more data, however the man behind the desk had no idea how to organise that. Lastly, the resort advertised a heated pool and spa, which was one of the main reasons we selected to stay at this resort during the winter months, however I don't consider luke warm to be 'heated' and every time I attempted to go in the spa it was full - this was not surprising considering the amount of guests staying at the facility. Overall there were too many downsides to consider staying here again.
