This is the second time we have stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with our 2 teenage boys. This time we opted for the poolside apartment- it was fantastic. Highly recommend this resort, feels like home and close to everything you need.
We stayed there recently. While we had some room issues you can't blame the staff for them. Sometimes owners just don't like to pay for repairs or upgrades. The welcome guide is not that welcoming. Just seems to highlight how much you will be charged if you break a rule. The games room had half the games working properly. Be great to maybe get rid of the many vending games and have a pool table or a ping pong table. Things to note: The free wifi is a joke, you get more at a locla McDonalds.Walk down to the local council park if you need the internet. The place is a dead zone for mobile phone or internet access on your notebook. I have Telstra 4G, Vodafone work for work mobile and Optus for phone and all of them were lucky to have one bar. When you order pick up at the fish & shop down stairs to save time (Which you will) you end up waiting just as long to pay then for them to make it. The beach is amazing. The pool is 2.7 metres deep at one end. The pool access rooms are fantastic. They should swap out the cloth lounges for leather/vinyl. No one wants to sit in someones elses beach sweat. It is pretty expensive so look around for a deal.
Nice spot to stay, no roads between the complex and the beach. Good area for children. Staff could be a bit more effusive upon greeting guests. Ceiling fans in room 69 need replacing as they are rusty. Room 69 was very clean except for the aforementioned fans. Also it was spacious for a one bedder.Nicely furnished as a one bedroom. Tidy decor and good equipment. Nice pool area. Plenty of barbecue facilities on site. Some good eating places alongside the complex. Lovely views out over the surf from room 69. Well kept grounds. Plenty of walking along beach side walkway to more eateries. All in all I would recommend this for a holiday. PS: The air hockey table needs a good servicing to clean up the disc, the handsets and the table surface.
The best proximity to Kings Beach in Caloundra for sure. Coffee shops , take away and cafes just down stairs. Our room was spacious and clean . Great for kids..... beach , paths and eating places all walking distance with great views Great pool Should be highlighted that it’s a NO Smoking Complex , not on balconies, rooftop or anywhere on site Receptionist could use a bit more customer service skills Not very pram or elderly friendly
Fantastic location on the beautiful Kings Beach with great food options downstairs. Apartments clean, reasonably maintained & equipped - basic kitchen for easy holiday meals. Unfortunately range-hood smelly and requires thorough clean! Beds became harder after several nights broken sleep. Air-conditioning with fans most appreciated during heat wave conditions, as was pool entry directly from balcony. Spa bath a bit of fun! In room laundry facilities very convenient, although noisy! Easy walk to shops & cafes. Supermarket/shopping centre a quick drive away. Car park a squeeze. Great security. One particular reception staff member would benefit from customer service training - not the greatest first impression!
Stayed 2 nights with 4 other women on a weekend away for some freedom and relaxation away from the everyday. We were NOT disappointed! stayed in a 3 bedroom oceanfront apartment with a private rooftop (rm 12) with sweeping views across the ocean and Kings beach. plenty of seating, tables, BBQ, fridge etc. The rooftop was so good we spent most of our time up there! The rest of the apartment was very well equipped for the number it accommodates and was perfectly clean. The apartment was extremely spacious and comfortable, towels soft, beds very comfy. Lift is a bit scary, not obvious where the stairs are and if you can use them. The location is ideal for a quite stay and you can walk anywhere you need to get. The pool is awesome and a great way to avoid the sun if the beach is too hot. I am afraid I am spoilt now and may not be able to stay in any other room!
We had a one bedroom Poolside unit #69. Fantastic views of the ocean. Great private rooftop balcony too (but very windy and rainy weather prevented us from using). Unit very clean and had everything we needed. Very comfy bed too. Great location - wouldn't have needed the car at all if the weather had been better.
Relaxing to the sound of the amazing surf rolling in ! Our view of the ocean was incredible with sunrises and a constant sea breeze. Our rooftop floor was terrific for bbq lunch and glass of wine overlooking the ocean. Rooms are very clean and has all you need to cook meals etc. The utensils could really use an upgrade. Security is excellent. Pool can get very noisy but hours are good to suit couples without kids too. We had a spa in our room which was fabulous. Staff really friendly and helpful. Lots of eateries nearby and swimming in the ocean. Can walk into town. Great place to stay!! We’ll be back !!
We found reception staff to be quite rude, when checking in we were given the impression we were an inconvenience to them. Car park was very tight, even if the car beside you is parked perfectly in their allocated spot. Due to the lack of space our car has a scuff mark and paint off from what we can only presume could be a neighboring door hitting it. When booking (2 months prior) we requested a ground floor, on arrival we were so disappointed to be on the second highest level. The request was made due to me being heavily pregnant which they knew. Between our apartment and our friends who also stayed the same time we found some pretty untidy rooms, hair in the shower and on the shower roof, a lot of dust behind toilet door, dirty glassware, dirty handprints on doors. We fealt a bit “ripped off” that for a 5/6 day stay were were expected to buy extras if needed, such as toilet paper, soap, sachets of laundry powder and dishwashing liquid. We definitely felt the price paid for our stay should have allowed for inclusions of a 20cent roll of toilet paper or extra dishwashing liquid, after all you do get left a note under your door the day before departure stating how you must do the dishes and take the rubbish out etc.
Yes, right across from the beach - no need to even cross the road! We were probably the only family there without little kids - obviously it is very popular with young families. The pool was in the shade for most of the afternoon which was great and one end is really deep which is good fun for the bigger kids. We stayed on the 4th floor which was quiet enough - the roof top was a lovely bonus (even though we hardly used it). For us the good thing was that we could just book for three nights - most other places require a full week booking during school holidays so this was great for a short getaway.
