The hotel is a little dated and simple, but has everything you need for a night. We stay on the top floor (executive room),there’s a complimentary water bottle and a bag of DIY bread (the hotel used to be a bakery) upon arrival. Location is the best in area, just 5mins to the palace and 10mins walk to city center. What we like the most is breakfast (19€/adult, kids=free), many choices of hot foods, egg station, yogurt, breads. The staffs are so attentive :) We will definately stay here again.
Hotel is well positioned beside the main road and a short walk from the town square, train station and the Schloss. Rooms are quite spacious and well equipped with a comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making facilities not available in room but can be bought at bar. Bar and restaurant very good. Breakfast has a wide range of options but at 9 euros pp is a little expensive. Dinner is very good and prices are very reasonable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking at the hotel but is charged at 12 euro per night. We stayed for three nights to attend a wedding and it was a very comfortable hotel and one I would like to stay in again.
We've stayed in this hotel previously. It is located near the Palace in a centuries-old military barracks that has been extensively renovated. The rooms are average-sized, but very comfortable and have views to the inner courtyard in front or park-like grounds to the back. Either view is pleasant. The building is set back some distance from the busy street in front and the rooms have no traffic noise. All of the rooms have elevator access as does the lobby, restaurant and restrooms. Dinner usually requires a reservation if the hotel is near capacity. Ask at the front desk. We enjoy eating dinner in the hotel; the food is well prepared and expertly served. We really enjoy this hotel. It has everything a nice hotel requires. Note: This hotel is close to Porsche in Zuffenhausen (in distance, but rarely in time). Traffic can be a super hassle. Advice: navigate on the small roads, not the main highway.
Efficient rooms and Gym available. Parking Space enough and close to center of Ludwigsburg. Very good Breakfast with Brezeln , Salmon, different eggs fresh fruits etc. Restaurant can be used with good quality. Good variety in wines
I stayed here for 2 and half weeks. The location of the hotel is great. The quality of rooms and breakfast was also good. But here are few negatives that I would like to mention : 1. There is no moisturizer or body lotion available in the rooms. I couldn't find one in the reception either. I believe, it is one of the necessities that should be provided. 2. My body wash in the shower was not changed even though it was finished for two consecutive days. On raising a concern, I still did not receive any response from the front desk. I had to call thrice and later go to the reception myself to pick up an alternative to be able to take a shower. That was a really bad experience. 3. The room service took my own personal wine glass. On enquiry, I never found it back. I was told it is lost. There are some basic things that I don't expect from such a hotel. I am travelling again on Feb and this experience makes me wonder if booking this hotel again would be a similar experience.
Nice hotel in Ludwigsburg in walking distance to the beautiful palace, the town center and the Christmas market. Excellent breakfast, big and clean room. The staff was very friendly and made you feel welcome.
I was most excited about this stay since I would be returning to Ludwigsburg (my childhood home) and it turned out to be one of the worst front desk customer service experiences of our world travels. The hotel is as pictured and the positives were - excellent and friendly restaurant/bar staff, ok beds, assorted and quality food, just a little pricey, great location and ok sleep. Parking was tight but luckily for us we didn't have to move our car during stay...walked everywhere. The negative was in the treatment experienced by us with the hotel check out process. We had complimentary breakfast and parking in our booked room rate and the female supervisor on duty insisted we did not, despite my showing her the written confirmations and explicit inclusion. (booking was done via Expedia). The checkout then took 40 minutes and involving the on site manager as well as calls to Expedia. Finally, a resolution (I thought) was reached with the hotel and Expedia sharing in the settlement to comp the parking daily rate and the breakfast buffet charges. When I received my credit card statement later, found that Nestor had still not lived up to their end of the deal. Required more emails and complaint to my CC company. Eventually resolved. What a silly and annoying way for a hotel to treat customers. Will stay somewhere else next time where customer service is truly honored. Watch your billing.
This hotel is really more than just good, it is excellent. Especially the breakfast is overwhelming (choice and quality). They can really cook an omelette in front of your eyes in super high quality. Don't go down in quality, please!
Four day visit as guests of the City Council. A really enjoyable visit in a great hotel. Special mention to the restaurant staff who were so friendly and helpful. One of our party had restricted mobility and they treated her so well.
This hotel is beautiful! The rooms are pretty cool as well. The breakfast is also wonderful. The only thing I think that's wrong here is the parking. They don't seem to have enough parking for all their guests. We parked in a different lot which also belongs to the hotel and the gate said it took tokens. The guy at reception told us he would give us tokens the next day then we never saw him again. Each time we wanted to leave we had to have someone come out with a key to let us out. Park behind the hotel so you don't have to deal with that too.
