Stayed here for four nights. It is a beautiful and modern hotel. The location is very good. Just 10-15 mins walk to the Ludwigsburg Palace, the marketplace. There are 2 other smaller palaces nearby. The famous pumpkin festival is held nearby as well.Forum am Schloss is 2mins away. Booked here seeing the reviews that rooms were spacious however our particular room was quite small but very neat and clean. The double bed however consisted of two single beds put together so if you rolled to the middle you end up sleeping in the gap. There was a minibar in the room (charges extra ). The room had a pleasant view. We were spoilt for choice at the breakfast buffet. A variety of bread, cheese, meat, fruits, yogurts, cereal, muesli other than the regular egg, bacon n beans options and atleast five or more different types of tea and coffee. There were some lovely pancakes too. Breakfast at an additional rate of €19 per person. A very clean sauna and steam rooms available for use. Bathrobes and slippers available on request. Towels are already there. Car parking at an additional rate of €12 per night. The service was very good. Staff was friendly and courteous.Wanted some hot water and they gave us a flask for use till we checked out. Ironing table and iron box also available on request. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Stayed only one night but very good experience: functional and well designed bedroom, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with functional amenities. Enough parking space and downtown in walking distance. Very friendly staff at reception and excellent breakfast!
Stayed here for one night in december and enjoyed it, although my stay was too short to experience all facilities thorougly. Service was generally very good, my room appeared clean. Breakfast was excellent. My room was very spacious, the only thing I would have wanted was a comfy chair to watch TV during longer stays. (which I didn't have the time to do anyway). The fact is that the room was so large that from the bed, the TV screen on the opposite wall was too far away. Anyway, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
Ir is a good hotel at 5’ from Marketplace. Rooms are sympatic however i didn’t appreciated the location of the bed in the room. The service is very good and friendly. Wonderful breakfast, wide choice of cheese, ham and fruit.
Stayed here 5 nights late October and had a terrible stay. Room was too hot with no way to cool it down. Even opening window didn't help. Mutiple calls to front desk led to shrugged shoulders that "most people like it hot". My room was extremely noisy as there's a police station nearby with constant sirens going off, and general road traffic with honking in the am and evening rush hours. Mutilple requests to move were ignored because they were allegedly full. They screwed up my reservation and tried to kick me out a day early - so keep all your correspondence as you'll need it. We ordered a taxi to train station due to pouring rain - hotel told taxi co we were going to airport and so our taxi driver became enraged at being misled into a short fare. The linens in the room are hilariously sparse - no washcloths, no hand towels, a very small blanket and a twin bed. I could actually go on wi the misery, these were just the highlights. Breakfast was really good. Breakfast staff were also top notch.
We stayed one night at the Nestor Hotel Ludwigsburg so that we could attend the local pumpkin festival. It is perfectly located just up from town and a quick walk to the palace grounds where the festival is held. The staff were all very friendly, they had a baby cot set for us (we had our 19 month old with us) and the room was all we needed for the one night. The bar service was great and upon check-out, they were willing to hold our luggage while we attended the festival. The only flaw I can mention is that our room smelled a bit like urine. I am not sure if it was something with the bathroom, baby cot, or even perhaps a cleaner they use. If we were going to be there more than the one night I would have asked for a different room - but for the one night it was more work than it was worth for us. We just opened the windows and got some fresh air flowing! If in Ludwigsburg I would definitely stay here again.
As was traveling on a business trip through the weekend I stopped in Ludwigsburg for 2 nights at Nestor. I booked in short notice through one of major e-travel agency and everything went well. To reach there is easy as hotel is in the heart or Ludwigsburg and inherit historical roots down to German empire. Staff is attentive and kind, English speaking and process is fast. Hotel is very clean, breakfast is good and on my taste I would add more salads and vegetarian options. I felt confortable living during the weekend despite of the fact that hotel was full, probably due to Octoberfest start. Enjoyable!
We came to Ludwigsburg to enjoy the Pumpkin (Kürbis) Festival. The Nestor is a short walk away from the festival grounds. We really enjoyed the clean comfortable room. The bar area was nice, both inside and outdoor seating available.
I have been there a couple of times only and I'm looking forward to staying again. I specially like the modern furniture in the old building. Breakfast is special. Often fully booked. Try it if you happen to visit Ludwigsburg.
