I called NH Hotels and booked two double connecting rooms so that my family of five would have enough space. The man on the phone who completed my booking was very nice and assured me that the rooms would be adjacent connecting rooms. When we arrived to check into our rooms, the person at the front desk informed us that the rooms were across the hall from one another and that there were no connecting rooms available. At first she was not very apologetic and made it sound as if I must have made the mistake while booking. We went back and forth for a few minutes, and she finally offered us free breakfast and parking for their oversight. Because of this small effort on their part, I gave them two stars instead of one. Be cautious when booking with NH Hotels and be sure to request detailed written confirmation of your booking!
Rooms do not exceed expectations for a 3* hotel. WiFi is good everywhere. Breakfast is a standard one for this class of hotels in Germany. Very positive - while working in the lobby after our breakfast we went several times back to the breakfast area for coffee or water. There was no remark from the staff.
We stayed here on a bicycle trip and found the location central to the train, schloss, and city center. A typical NH hotel, modern, clean and efficient. The front desk was most helpful, storing our bicycles in the luggage storage room. The breakfast was included and fresh and plenty of items. Walking distance to restaurants, although did not find an abundance of German restaurants.
Stayed for 3 nights. Helpful staff in reception and bar. Rooms clean, basic but nicely laid out. Only complaint is no headboard on the bed so lounging on it is uncomfortable. Nice breakfast. Had a 9th floor room so good view but when there was a thunderstorm almost fell out of bed when it was directly overhead.
We stayed in this hotel to attend the heat festival in Rockfabrik The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the train station so an ideal location .The hotel is modern and well decorated Lovely rooms with nice toiletries in the bathroom . We didn't book breakfast but asked if we could add it to our booking but it was £25 euros which I thought I'd misheard as it was so expensive but it was correct so we decided to try somewhere else .There's a nice shopping precinct in the train station with some nice places to eat . This is a lovely hotel in a great location and would definitely stay here again with nice toiletries in the bathroom
So I'm sitting in my room, ninth floor, right at this moment. It's the first night of our stay. As I said in the title, very cute room. The bathroom sink is even a designer model from Villeroy and Boch. However, there are BIG problems and now I'm really regretting that we prepaid to stay here two weeks. Maybe I'll go down and complain. But I hate complaining in person, it's so demeaning. Two main issues: It's June and it's very warm outside. The air conditioning blows so lightly that I literally had to lick a finger and stick it up to the vent to verify that it was blowing at all. Even then, it was blowing air only slightly colder than the room. I'm currently sweating and have the window open, so the traffic noise is pretty intrusive. Secondly, and this is a deal breaker: the "free" version of WiFi is incredibly slow and unreliable. If you're using on your phone, you'll mostly just have icons in your notifications bar that say there's no internet connection (when you're actually connected). When it decides to let a site through (DNS lookup can take 10 seconds!), it comes through at about 19kb/sec. It's seriously feels like trying to reach Google in China. My partner needs to do actual WORK in this room for two weeks. Now he's freaking out because we're stuck with this abysmal internet situation. The real issue is: THEY ADVERTISE FREE WIFI, THEN GIVE YOU A CRAP CONNECTION IN ORDER TO FORCE YOU TO GET THE PAID VERSION. If we had known the "real" situation here, we would have paid more for some better place... If I am able to actually survive here for two weeks (possibly changing to a room with working A/C and getting a fix to this internet nightmare, I may update this. Right now I'm livid. (I might add here that the hotel staff were very friendly in helping me find a decent supermarket, and I'm not trying to trash the place, but this internet (and A/C) problem needs to be addressed. This is 2017. Fast and reliable internet service in ANY hotel should be a given. Especially when it's advertised that way and people make decisions based on that advertising).
The NH hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull. The NH hotel is in a great location for walking to the down-town area for dinner as well. I truly enjoyed my stay at the NH hotel in Ludwigsburg, DE.
A nice hotel with clean room, easy parking and delicious breakfast! A little farther walk to downtown Ludwigsburg but not bad at all. Nice area, close to train station, some restaurants nearby. Enjoyable stay!
I have chose NH Ludwigsburg again after receiving a call from Hotel manager Mr. Thorsten. Last experience were totally forgotten from my side after having a good hospitality even from front desk employee that i escalated before. Thanks for Mr. Thorsten for taking care of my complain and availing time to change my bad experience.
Typical Business hotel. I would say new (or renowed), located close to a nice square, this is a business hotel with everything you need: fast check-in and out, parking, plugs in the room everywhere, good breakfast, people going and coming 24hours. It's well decorated, nice and new rooms, very nice bathrooms. Everything working properly. They know what they are doing. It's not an exciting hotel, like WOW effect, but absolutely in line with the scope. Come back again, for sure.
