I had a lovely 5 day stay for business reason on this hotel. My (standard) ROOM was big enough with tasty modern decoration. 5th floor was extreamly quiet all time of the day despite hotel beeing quite busy. BREAKFAST was very good, quality and variaty together. The FITNESS area is bigger than other hotels, some 30 sqm, additionnally the sauna area is spacious and beautifully made. Fitness and sauna were FREE at this moment intime. Internet available also FREE and pretty fast. STAFF friendly and willing to help if needed. All in all a great stay for me.
We stayed here during a conference and were nicely surprised by all the little things - really nice snacks throughout the day, plenty to drink, meals included in our conference fee. Breakfast and lunch were both very well done, with plenty of fresh food coming out when needed. Always a smile with service. The "accessible" room was huge, although the bathroom was a little different - almost too small for a wheelchair but no curtain to contain water in the shower - totally soaked the whole place when taking a shower. But, we enjoyed the king size bed in this large room, with a mini-fridge with pricey snacks (walk over to the Aldi shop, around the corner for much cheaper alternatives). Only one TV channel in english was working, but the wifi allowed us to stream what we wanted to watch. We drove to the hotel, although public transportation is right outside the door. Parking in the garage was difficult, as the handicapped spaces were at an angle to each other and when one car is parked, the other can't get in. Also, the lights are on a motion sensor that apparently didn't see us - the lights when off and we were in the dark - had to turn on the car headlights in order to finish packing the car. Lights went on when we backed out. Interesting...
Corporate hotel, clean. The whole stay went well, there was no problem with the shuttle from the airport or the airport. European breakfasts. Rooms clean. Mattresses not damaged.I recommend the hotel.
This hotel is used regularly by my business however this was my first time staying here. The location is perfect and right outside a train station - very convenient for transfers to and from the airport as well as venturing out in the evening for dinner. The hotel looks old from the outside but is well decorated on the inside. The rooms are big and very comfortable. My only real negative comment is that there is no air conditioning available. The bar downstairs is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast was very good and I am looking forward to my next trip to Stuttgart.
Being a Spire in IHG, we have stayed in quite a number of HIs all over the world and I must say that this one is one of the best so far. Modern hotel, with nice grounds. Booked a stay with points and despite booking king room, were surprised to receive a twin. Went straight down to reception to be told that the receptionist has made a mistake and we were originally allocated an upgrade to Executive king room which we were given. Strange mistake.... The room was great. Very spacious, very comfy bed, big bathroom with all an more than you need amenities.Cant fault it anywhere. No breakfast was included in our rate, but went for it anyway. It is very pricey (@20 EUR per person), but well worth it. Great variety and high quality staff. Although on the last day of stay, and having arrived 45 mins prior to end time we noticed that the items were no longer renewed, so some things were missing. Unacceptable at this price tag. Do book a rate with breakfast but dont go last moment if you want to fully enjoy. Hotel is located in Stuttgart suburban business district. Had a car, so cant really comment on accessibility with public transport. Alright with a car. You are everywhere in the city within 25 mins. Would definitely stay again.
Next to the s-Bahn, easy to take a ride into town. Daytimes the train run well, evenings a little longer wait to get back. The front desk could be more helpful in telling about changing trains as the guy handed me the map and said take s6. That only gets you three stops and then you need to change to another track. Hotel is very nice, good rooms and stable internet. The breakfast chef makes a great omelette!
We came for one night just to stop over, it was nice clean and quiet. Welcome service was professional even they did not recognize the SystemApp offered rate. Breakfast was not really good needs to improve the scrambled eggs had a blue color!!! we ask for some other and and got a full oversized bowl - needs some improvement. Rooms are okay the connection to the city by train seems to be easy and a good Italian pizza place make our evening as well. All together, okay to stay but, not great enough to stay longer......
Bedrooms at ground floor are as nice as ogee refurbished rooms in higher floor but clearly no pre-back exists with people walking by from or to the train station. As the consequence the curtains shall remain closed.
The hotel is quite comfortable and next to many companies in that area, however the train station is literary 1 minute from the hotel, so you can get the city center in 20 minutes. My room was quite large and quiet. It was also clean. Breakfast is great, but in my opinion a bit expensive. Staff was extremely kind.
We were only passing through Stuttgart (driving a car and arriving in the evening, leaving in the morning), and this hotel provided what we needed: a good night's sleep. The room facilities were good, and it was quiet in the evening. The restaurant in the hotel was also decent. But if you're planning to spend a full day or more as a tourist in Stuttgart, note that there is not much to see and not many restaurants near this hotel, other than the Porsche museum which is a few miles away.
