I stayed there for only 2 nights, I loved the hotel, I could find all I expected from a 5 star hotel, it's beautiful, very clean, well thought, the team is available and helpful, the location is great, the food is something from another world. I can't wait to return to Strasbourg so I can spend a night there. Thank you so much to all the team.
We had one night in Strasbourg, almost by accident, and I'm so happy we found the Hotel Regent Petite-France. It is a charming hotel, extremely comfortable, and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. From the valet, to the check-in desk, to the bell service, they were all polite, friendly, and helpful. Our room had a gorgeous view looking out toward a canal, and it was so soothing just to watch twilight on the water. It is an easy walk into the main district near the cathedral, with so many cool little shops and places to eat. It felt a little like being in a movie. So quintessentially French; just perfect. We were sorry to only spend a night, and would definitely like to visit Strasbourg and the hotel again. It is a bit tricky to find the hotel, especially if you are used to driving in the U.S. In the last half-kilometer before the hotel, you will think you are breaking the law by driving on the pedestrian walkway, but you aren't. Just follow the signs, drive slowly, and be alert for pedestrians, pets and cyclists. Don't freak out, you are almost there.
I booked the Regent Petite France as a treat as we were visiting Strasbourg for my birthday. I work in a 5 star hotel in Ireland and was not expecting the same level of standards in France purely from past experiences. I am pleased to say I was wrong. This hotel is a 5 star property. The staff are helpful, the rooms are laid out with every amenity you could need and the public areas are beautifully decorated to a luxury boutique standard. The hotel was also kind enough to leave me a bottle of wine for my birthday- thank you so much! It was just perfect.
Very nice accommodations in the heart of Petite France. A little difficult to get to with car but doable and well worth it for the amazing location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very nice but a bit hot, especially for March. Enjoyed our stay.
A very central and great place to stay at. Nice culture, and there are a lot of places to go have food. Very kind people at the hotel, helpful. Short distance to Germany, if you would like to go there.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is nice and modern inside, the room was spotlessly clean and the staff upon our arrival were so nice. The breakfast was delicious, with a nice variety of different options. The bed was also really comfy. The only slight disapointment for us was the spa. We had been really looking forward to it, but as there is no booking system it was full when we got there. With limited number of spaces in all 3 aspects of the spa, we found oursleves waiting in a line of people and actually ended up going back to our room. It's a shame because the spa looks really nice, but would make more sense if they had a max of 8 people per hour with a booking system. Other than that, it really is a nice hotel and the staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
For Strasbourg very good. Internationally, overpriced and service not good enough. Food quite weak for Strasbourg. The Suites are quite nice but either dark or quite loud because of the water outside.
First things first: getting here can be a bit confusing but it is really easy. If you are driving, then input “Place Henry Dunant” into your GPS. You will come to a Pedestrian Only zone but fret not: enter the zone and turn right onto Quai Wuerth where you will see a public car park alongside the canal and loads of cars parked. You can choose to park your car here for Euro 11 a night, or keep driving straight to the end of this drive (it is a cobblestone drive) and then turn left and park in front of the hotel and ask for a valet to park your car in their parking for Euro 25 a night. We opted for valet parking and our valet Marc was fantastic, so friendly and he had loads of great tips for us for our stay in Strasbourg. This is such a cute hotel in the heart of the old quarter, situate along the canal. We had a cosy room overlooking the canal and the colourful buildings, which added to the charm of staying here. The rooms are fully carpeted, and elegantly decorated with a king size bed and lounge chairs, as well as a writing desk. Welcome gifts include mini macarons! The bathroom is stunning with a large mirror, his and hers sinks, a bathtub and rain shower. Amenities provided include shower gel, shampoo, soap, shower caps, fluffly bathrobes and slippers. The hotel overlooks many of the signature buildings that make up the old quarter and is the perfect place for staying in if you only have a short time in Strasbourg. You can soak in the vibe without having to be too far away, and in some luxury too. The bar has a nice deck overlooking the canal and the Maison des Tanneurs and is the perfect place to catch the sunset while enjoying a drink. Breakfast is served in the main dining room and is perhaps the only negative aspect of the hotel: the wait staff seem disinterested in serving and it is a pity that the tea and coffee isn’t self-service like the rest of the breakfast because I had to ask three different people for a cup of coffee over a span of 20 minutes before I finally gave up. Granted it can get really busy at breakfast time but it shouldn't be this difficult to get a cup of coffee! This I would say was the only sore spot in what was an otherwise perfect stay at a beautiful hotel.
+ Superb location. + Beautiful spa with outdoor hot(-ish) tub. + Good breakfast. - Slightly tacky design. - Service mentality could be more proactive (we got what we wanted but too often had to ask for it).
We drove to Strasbourg from Paris.Never again. The train all the way. At first coming through the city I was disappointed. I had pictured this quint essential old world town. We turn the corner at the large monument on to a cobblestone path and immediately transcended in to old world charm. The hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The view from the room was looking over the cobblestone bridge and waterway. Gorgeous. Perfect location for seeing all of Strasbourg. Walking to restaurants and shops. A short stroll downtown. Best of all was the proximity to all the beautiful small towns of the region. We visited Colmar, Equishem, Kayersberg, Riquewihr all in one beautiful day.
