We booked 3 nights here recently. It was a great choice. Rooms are a good size with the toilet seperate from the bathroom. The kitchenette was very useful on the nights we decided to stay in. The bed was very comfortable. The laundry facilities were clean and easy to use. The hotel is very close to the train station, within 5 minutes walk is a large shopping centre which has a good supermarket for anything you may need. It is also an easy walk to the main tourist areas, which are packed with bars, cafes and restaurants. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and all the people we dealt with had very good English. We would definitely recommend it for other travelers.
The hotel could be as expected for the price paid unless an unfortunate event: The next day of our depart, as soon as I realized a pair of new expensive pants were forgotten in the closet I called the hotel sure the pants were found and kept, but to my surprise I was told that the room was double inspected and nothing was left there and since it was occupied there was nothing to do about it...Since there was no doubt the pants were left the room, I conclude that either the closet was never opened and cleaned or somebody just took them, both options seem inappropriate to a decent hotel, shame...
Our choice of hotel in Strasbourg was driven by value and proximity to the station with the need to catch an early train (0630) at the end of our stay. While this hotel does not really reflect "old" Strasbourg character (being more suited to business travellers), it is only a 15 minute walk to the key tourist areas. Rooms were a very good size, very comfortable and very clean. The included hotel breakfast was adequate but basic with cereals, breads etc., and breakfast beverages. There are some local restaurant options for dinner nearby in Rue du Faubourg de Saverne if you want something closer than the tourist areas. There is a shopping centre only 5 mins away (Place des Halles). The main Strasbourg station is only 5 minutes away. And the free WiFi worked for our stay - not to be taken for granted in France.
Rooms are better than the looks, so don't judge this book. Service is nice and friendly. There's an indoor pool, well there is...it's small. All in all ok, average price but not great. Take a look at Ibis or Google maps. Best argument is 10 min walk or less from Strasbourg centre.
Very clean room, (we had a studio) with a nice big bath! It would have been nice if they provided a sponge and detergent to do the dishes because you had to buy it all to be able to use the kitchen. The street of the hotel is quite busy but I liked it! Very good
Good location, close to city center. No parking so you need to park somewhat further @ €11/day. Rooms are sufficient but a bit run down in places. Carpet not clean at all. Pillows an matress smelled 'slept in'. Pool is not worth your time: cold water, not very clean and awkward changing rooms. Room on city side has traffic noise. Room on the other side had trains. Breakfast area is small and overcrowded, breakfast is average, staff not very accomodating. I was disappointed, the reviews and pictures are not at all representative.
We were a family of 5 so rented two rooms for two nights in Strasbourg, visiting my daughter and the Christmas Markets. This apartment hotel was ok but the pictures are very complimentary to it. Given the cost we expected more. Compared to other hotels I have stayed in this was slightly disappointing. We thought from the booking and pictures that each of the 5 of us would have a proper bed, but my son had to sleep on a sofa bed, not the end of the world but equally not great for the price. The rooms are very basic, there is not even a small welcome pack of coffee/tea or water. Nothing. There is a coffee machine but you must buy filters and coffee before you can use. There is no vending on site so you need to know where the nearest shops are if you want a hot drink water etc. There are shops nearby but they close around 9:00pm. So if you arrive late you need to come prepared. The reception staff are surly and unhelpful. The rooms are clean but somewhat tired in places. The TV in our room had no sound and a faulty remote. Not a big deal as we were out all the time so didn't watch it, but just as well! The location is excellent, very near the station and the city centre. Relatively peaceful, very little traffic noise. Our room did have a great balcony which I imagine in summer would be lovely and the kitchen seems well equipped if you were staying for several days and didn't want to eat out every day. Overall I think the other French budget chains offer better value in Strasbourg and I think at the price we paid we could have stayed in a nicer hotel albeit without the kitchen facilities but for a couple of nights we didn't need this anyway.
Convenient location close to both the center of Strasbourg, the train station and les Halles shopping center. Rooms are spacious and clean. Not suitable for "real" cooking, but the very basic utensils enables you to make a decent breakfast, easy lunches etc. Had a room facing the back of the hotel - quiet location, although the ventilation system makes ear plugs necessary for light sleepers. Well functioning wifi. Only French and German TV-channels.
Great choice, we were given a very well fitted out studio apartment, which was handy as after several days of eating out we fancied a meal in. The room was a good size, comfortable and quiet. There is a small but functional swimming pool indoors and a fitness room with a walker and exercise bike. The hotel is located only a short walk from a large shopping mall and the cathedral and old town. Would certainly go back if we ever revisit the city.
I enjoy my time here, rooms are spacious and clean and thats all we wanted. You have a fridge and a small kitchenette too. We only have 2 nights in the city and chose to stay at this clean, friendly and organised property. The hotel is literally a 4-5 minute walk from the station which was also the location for our Alsace wine tour collection. As soon as we arrived at 9am we dropped out bags and walked to the more central part of town. You can actually do everything by foot as the hotel is in town more or less and being September the weather was actually nice so we strolled home after dinners and such. We checked out a flea market on the Saturday. Also enjoying a steak at one of the recommended best meat places in town. The wine tour we picked was excellent and exactly what I expected, its good value for money. you could see the town itself in one day and the Notre dame there and other historically buildings as well as the lovely canal should not be missed. we didn't have a chance to get on the boat tour but I think its worth a go. Food we ate at
