Stayed for 4 nights and we were very happy with the hotel . Very friendly and in a ideal location , Booked the larger of the double rooms (355) and it was perfect , large bed , air conditioning that worked a treat , peaceful and with a nice bathroom . Easy walk from the station if you are catching the train. " try the stairs and not just the lift as the staircase is lovely with stained glasses and furniture "

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and it was ok, but we would not recommend it for a longer stay. The room was so small and felt unclean. The window to the street didn´t close well, so we heard people making noise all night long. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and it smelled really bad. However, staff was really friendly and sweet. Be aware, that it´s tricky to drive to the hotel (pedestrian zone).

This is not about the hotel itself but about how the staff dealt with a problem - very well. We've stayed here before - great location, excellent staff and previously lovely rooms. After check-in, we found that our booked room had a problem that made it unusable. The hotel was full with no other rooms available. Within 15 minutes Sonia (I think) had found us another hotel (with an extra star!) at their cost only three minutes away. No fuss or hassle for us and brilliantly dealt with by the hotel.

This hotel is very close to Petite France. The rooms are nice and tidy within this historic building. The staff is extremely friendly, multi-lingual and helpful. In the afternoon you can get free coffees and snack-size croissants as a little treat. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and everything was incredible from the arrival to the departure. A special thanks to Marie Kristine and Marc whom were just incredible. We also meet the General Manager and he truly cares about an exceptional level of customer service, being friendly and efficient. Not surprisingly he graduated from the best hotel school in the world, l'Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne. We highly advice this hotel. Thank you the team Hotel de l'Europe

The location is great if you want to be in the Old Town. Parking is not too far and the hotel gives you a discount. Its a short walk with your luggage to the hotel from the parking lot. Although this hotel is well located, it seems to be a hang out for street people. We walked all over the Old Town and yes, there are always street people but this hotel seems to have a certain group hanging out in and around their front door. A few times, they seemed belligerent to the point of screaming at each other. I had considered other hotels such as Maison Rouse and Hotel Dragon, which IMO seem like a better choice for a quieter location within easy walking distance of the Old Town. The room was super small but very clean. The hotel is old and charming. I did not appreciate though the lady at the front desk. I asked for a bucket of ice and she tossed her head in her hands and laughed. I asked her what was so funny, she said "nothing", she was just teasing me. Ok. Her colleague, immediately helped me and went to the bar to get my bucket of ice and even offered me wine glasses. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be "right" in the middle of the old town. If not, then choose a little farther where is it more quieter.

This hotel is located right in the middle of the pedestrian Old Town. The location cannot be beat and parking is only a few blocks away. The hotel also gives you a discount for the parking. Instead of paying 44 Euros you will pay 18 Euros. We had a standard room. Very very small but clean and adequate for a one night stay. No complaints. The hotel is very old but charming. While the location of the hotel is central and very pedestrian friendly, The area of the hotel is not the best. There are a lot of street people hanging around the area of the hotel. No matter what time of day, they were there and they were very loud and belligerent. We walked around the whole Old Town and while there are always street people no matter where you go, the front of this hotel seems to be their "hangout". We witnessed several confrontations amongst them. I had considered the Maison Rouge as well as the Dragon Hotel. Maison Rouge is just around the corner and IMO a better, quieter location. The Dragon Hotel is on the other side of the bridge but a very nice quiet location within easy walking distance. The other problem I had was with the lady at the reception. We had asked for ice when we got to the hotel. She came back with a cereal bowl of ice. Later that evening when we got back, I asked again for ice but in a bucket for wine. She dramatically put her head in hands and shook her head laughing. When I asked her what was so funny about asking for a bucket of ice for my wine, she said nothing, she was just "teasing me". OK..... Her colleague was much obliging and went to the bar to give me a bucket filled with ice and a wine glass.

Excellent location in La petite France, quiet room, except for an A/C unit that seemed to audition to be an alarm clock every hour or so. Welcoming staff. Satisfactory in every way. Good value. I recommend a stay here.

A lovely old hotel in the heart of Petite France within walking distance of many restaurants and cafes.. A very helpful and attentive staff made the stay a pleasure.A self serve laundry is within reasonable walk as is the train station.

The friendliest staff ever! They made our visit special. Historical building with atmosphere, plus modern renovation with comforts. The breakfast offered a chance to try local products. Here you feel you are in Alsace and not in a chain hotel. Excellent location in Petite France. We hope to stay again.
