Lovely rental- very clean and comfortable. The ocean is indeed right there, but there is a berm that reduces the view. We did not anticipate travel time to get to breakfast places- but there are some lovely dinner restaurants within walking distance. Thank you for this lovely stay.

The apartment was comfortable, clean and spacious. The kitchen was perfect for our needs. We requested an early check in because of our elderly relatives and management was accommodating and helpful. Great location if you are looking for a quiet, out of the way space!

Beautiful home!

This home was perfect for our family of 5. Everything was very clean, beautiful decor, well stocked kitchen, and very responsive host! Great location for day trips to the highlands! There’s also a cute restaurant/gas station/convenience store steps away that’s serves some really great pizza/breadsticks:) Highly recommend this property!

Clean and comfortable home

We had a wonderful stay. The photos provided by the e host accurately reflect how it actually is. The home is super clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare and cook meals. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. I highly recommend!

Peaceful area

We stayed here four days and we traveled to see waterfalls, geysers, ice lagoons etc. using this place as our home base. Only draw back for me was I needed light blocking curtains to sleep better. Everything else was picture perfect. The guide books in the basket were helpful.

Quiet neighborhood, nice house

We had a very early arrival at the airport and asked if we could enter the property earlier. There was no one the night before so the owner said it would be fine. There was an issue with the combination on the key lockbox

Lovely Home in a Charming Village

Absolutely perfect spot for our winter visit to Iceland. Made it easy for day trips to Reykjavik, Blue Lagoon, waterfalls, Vik, and more. The home was warm, clean, well set-up, and had everything we needed to feel at home. Appreciated the shovel and sidewalk de-icing salt. Great communication with the owner, and no issues whatsoever.

Home away from home

What a treat it was to stay hear after arriving in Iceland. Very spacious and well equipped - this was the perfect location to recharge after travel, relax in multiple rooms, watch movies, and catch up on laundry. The neighborhood felt quiet and safe and served as our jumping off point for daily adventures. Would have loved to stay longer!

Wondeful spacious home in a perfect location!

This beautiful, clean and spacious seaside home was our first stop on an 8 day visit to Iceland and we were not disappointed. The home was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed for our family of 4. We loved the location right by the water and a 2 min. walk to an incredible seafood restaurant. The town’s location was also very convenient to Reykjavik and Selfoss and Golden Circle sites. We’d return in a heartbeat to this wonderful cottage!

Really enjoyed this location as home base for 8 day stay. Was convenient to explore the area. Really nice to walk over and walk the shore. Everything with with house was wonderful

Week Long Stay

We started out on a bad foot. We arrived about 2 hours early to the house, it was vacant, and the host would not allow us to even check our luggage in, until exactly 4 pm. So we had to wait in the driveway for 2 hours to drop our bags. The house itself was fine. There is no central fan so the house feels muggy. No fans in the bathrooms. The town is very small, maybe 1000 people. Walking distance to a convivence store which was nice. We would not stay there again.

Lovely cottage and stay!

This is a lovely cottage in a quiet neighborhood and tiny village. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the house. The kitchen is well appointed, although we only used it for light breakfasts. We had fabulous weather, so we were able to enjoy the outside deck and sea air. There isn’t much to do in the village (but do visit the cute wool boutique with nice items a short walk from the house!). There’s a highly rated restaurant in the village, but we didn’t try it. However, Selfoss is less than 15 minutes away with numerous dining options and several boutiques. We highly recommend Bakkahester for horseback riding, and it’s about 5 - 8 minutes away. Gudrun was very communicative and quickly responded to any questions we had.

Pleasant stay

Away from the hustle of Reykjavik but close to Selfoss. A safe, quiet neighborhood. House was very clean and well-appointed and supplied. Close to the key sites of the golden circle. We enjoyed this as our home base as we toured around Iceland. Owner was quick to respond to the couple questions we had. Definitely would return.

Great stay

Cute home with all the space and amenities we needed. Selfoss was a nice town nearby with stores and restaurants. Self check-in was a breeze. Kitchen has lots of things to cool with.
