I think this Hotel met our expectations and surpassed a few too! We stayed there for a week while attending my sister’s wedding In July this year. We booked 2 inter connecting rooms and we felt at home right from the time we checked in, the staff is courteous. Yes, of course the hotel is away from the likes of T-centralen and gamla stan but you can also get to these places by a quick reide by the tunnel nama via- Solna Centrum station which is right outside the hotel/mall entrance. The breakfast could definitely do with some variations, it is ok if you are day or 2- however having the same thin for a week can kind of get you bored and sick of it. The hotel is definitely well equipped and the rooms are well furnished. I do wish the elevators servicing is taken up in urgency and resolved at the earliest, as one of the elevators was out of service for the entire week we there- does we had to face long waiting time on our way up and down almost every single time.
The hotel was more than adequate for our needs, being close to our Swedish friends. Good clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, big flat screen TV and plenty of soap. Towels were a bit small and a bit thin. Breakfast vast. Cheap hotel - we would certainly return.
Went to stay at this hotel in May this year. I was attending a conference at the Friends center in Solna, which is a 15 minute walk from this hotel. The hotel is located in an old mall and you have to etter the hotel via the mall's main entrances. The hotel is semi-old (sixties or seventies?) and the rooms are ok. I had a very small single room on the 6th floor. Cleaning was ok and the breakfast was good. I have to make it clear that this hotel is situated in Solna, which is a bit away from the city center... it is 15-20 minutes ride on the metro from Stockholm Central station. If your main interest is to see and do gamla stan and things like that, you should consider staying more close to the city center...
Stayed multiple times from Nov'2016 to April'2017. The Rooms are smalls but quite decent for a business trip , the staff is quite warm & the service was nice .Breakfast is quite good. Only few Channels on TV :( . Wifi connectivity & speed is good Location - Located inside the shopping mall Just 3/4 Stations away from the Central Stockholm , There is Metro /Bus Station at the exit & 30 mins from Airport.
Really nice and friendly staff and every clean room BUT in need of some TLC. Our room's bathroom door did not shut fully. Although my husband as I are pretty open w each other there are still somethings we really don't need to share! 😳 The over room was ok and I have to praise how clean it was but thin walls and we could hear a lot of what was going on next door.. 😶 The breakfast was good and had a good choice to pick from. The down side that would make me rethink this place is no rooms or our room did not have a/c. Then the bathroom is very small. To sit on the toilet you have to scoot your legs under the bathrooms sink... I also burnt my leg on the exposed water pipes in the shower. That was less fun. I was very mindful of the pipes being there when I took my next shower. We stayed here because we went to a concert. And when we got back to the room (a quick 15 minute walk from Friends arena) we had to walk some extra as there is just one entrance at night because the hotel is located within a shopping mall. Once we got there we wanted some food but what they had on offer was little and had ran out of several things. That was disappointing because they did not have a shop to purchase from even if it would have been snacks to bring back to the room. I would stay here again only because of how clean the room was.... but there was a lot of "hummmm if I would have known" They do have a guarantee however how fun is it to go complain for the state of your room after traveling several hours. They know what their rooms are like and if a bathroom door closes or not. I would not stay here alone as there was no extra security locks on the door.
One of the most underrated hotels in Stockholm is the Park Inn in Solna Centrum. It is only 20 minutes in a taxi from Arlanda airport and about a 10 minute ride from Stockholm central station on the blue underground line to Akalla. The hotel is a two minute walk from the underground station located in a shopping centre. The hotel has a nice Italian wine bar at lobby, and a bigger restaurant on the first floor with also does the breakfast buffet. The breakfast is good and has everything you need both hot and cold food and the is fruits to take with you when you leave. There are also plenty of restaurants in the shopping centre and around the hotel if you want to try something else. There is also a good gym on the top floor of the hotel. The rooms are average but functional with a good design. The business rooms are slightly bigger as well. The the bathrooms are quite small but again very functional. The rooms have safes, mini bars, plenty of power sockets and good free WiFi. The only thing missing is an aircon system, however you can open the window and there are fans in the rooms.
Young staff is friendly, but limited on local knowledge outside of mall. Clean, simple and convenient. Breakfast is good. Closed to transportation. Decent view. Rather warm buildings in June No air conditioning, 4 tv channels. Difficult to get into after the mall is closed.
Stayed at this hotel when visiting my daughter who lives in Solna. The hotel is situated in central Solna and forms part of a large shopping mall. The hotel is not cheap and the rooms are quite basic with a small double bed and small shower. Everything was clean and tidy but there were no drawers for holding clothes etc. no tissues, no separate shampoo and soap. Breakfast was good with a wide range of food on offer including cereal, fruit, bacon eggs, cold meats etc. The restaurant offers a very limited dinner menu with only three main courses and a help yourself buffet, this was not good value for money. The hotel has a limited number of car parking spaces which cannot be pre-booked and beware, the parking bays are very small and maneouvering space is tight. On the plus side the hotel is very close to the main railway station affording easy access to the center of Stockholm.
One stair up you will find the perfect way to spend a business lunch. Great service and plenty of food options to choose between. The also have a veranda in the summer time that allows you to catch some sun during your visit.
Ideally located next to the train station and inside a shopping mall. It's only 5 stops to the central so it is convenient to those with travel cards. Room is basic but clean. I was told that all rooms are non smoking so it is a plus point. The bed is very comfortable. the only downside is the thin walls and doors along the walkway. This is a big hotel and caters for groups. It tends to get very noisy in the morning when the groups talk loudly along the walkway and doors closed loudly. It won't be a problem if you are an early riser. Hotel comes with a good selection of breakfast too.
